This is a family favorite. We’ve been here when it’s busy and when it’s a bit slower and have enjoyed every meal that we’ve had here. We haven’t been here in about a year but came back this weekend on a whim. So glad we did. A bit greasy but… we knew that going in. Loved it! Employees are very nice, food is made to order and we didn’t wait for very long before it was served. Love the outdoor seating!

Usually when I want a good meal, I have to drive a bit to the city. This isn’t the case with burger joint. It’s really became my go to restaurant for when I want some great food nearby. The great thing about Burger Joint is that if knows what it is, and it does it damn well. It’s not«artesian», or «perfect», it’s a burger joint. And what a great one at that. The food, the staff, and the atmosphere only help perpetuate that feeling. Now, don’t think that you have to get a burger here. In fact, you really can’t fail. I recommend getting a hot dog, because they do those better than any other restaurant up to the drive to Lafayette. I also recommend getting a burger, because, well, that’s what they do. You also need to get their vampire fries, only beaten by truffle fries from Townhouse in Detroit. You also really, really should get a milkshake, because I’ve never had a better one than that. Really, you’re best off going with three close friends and eating each other’s food, because you’ll be missing out if you don’t. If you live in the Milford area and are looking for a good burger, don’t drive to West Bloomfield to get Smashburger. Help out your local restaurant and have some better food.

Love this place and eat here often but the service/ticket times have been progressively getting worse. Today, one cook and one cashier. Exactly 30 minutes for food to come up. Then guess what? No ketchup at the condiment station. Looking around people were furious. A little help around here may do the trick.

Came at the end of lunch rush on Saturday and had to wait 15 – 20 minutes to get our food. Would recommend calling ahead and doing take out. The staff was working really hard, it just took awhile. Once we got the food it was very good. Their Ghost Chicken sandwich is one of the best spicy chicken sandwiches I’ve had. Will come back to try the shakes and waffle sweet potato fries. Prices were very affordable and the seating inside is ample if you want to bring the family.

The vampire fries are the best. I got them yesterday. As well as the turkey burger, everything was cooked evenly and all the flavors molded together! The staff were friendly and even though i came in 30 mins before close they were still happy to serve us. Definitely going back and definitely going to get vampire fries again.

I like the vibe of this place, stopped on a whim and had the Joey burger, fries & a vanilla bean shake. All tasted great. Huge portions. Will be back.

Took a 40 minute drive out on a recommendation and was not disappointed! My son said it was the best gluten free burger he has ever had. I was impressed with the perfect amount of toppings on mine. The owner(?)not only adorably singing to the radio. was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

I really wanted to like this place, we ordered take out for lunch today(we live 2 blocks away) It was awful. I had the prime burger and it tasted spoiled, threw it out. They also forgot the pickles(huge deal for me) Fries were super greasy with a nasty burned flavor, like the oil in the fryer really needed to be changed. Husband had the fungus burger, it was dry and crumbly. Malts & shakes were not frozen, like milk. Onion rings were edible but really greasy. Waste of $ 30. We won’t do that again.

This place is surprisingly good. I came here with my friend and his daughter for dinner on Saturday night, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. The menu has a great selection of burgers to choose from, and the food was plentiful all around. I went with the cowboy burger and we also got fries and onion rings with our dinner. Servings were huge, and we all had a good time. I couldn’t finish my dinner but I did love the fries. I love that A) It’s a local business, B) they have a great menu and C) you can build you’re own burger if you can’t find something on the menu that you like, or you’re a finicky eater. It’s a bit fast casual for me here, which isn’t bad, but I’ve been to swankier places. Overall it’s definitely a casual dining experience more then anything else. Plenty of seating for smaller groups(under 5 people) but enough room to move around that you don’t feel cramped.

It’s a great little spot in Milford with great burgers. Ruined only by the prices. There are better options to be had in town.

I stopped into Burger Joint because my family and I were craving burgers and it seemed like the best bet. I walked in and found the ambiance quite quirky, in a good way! The décor was unique, and I liked that. We were greeted by the cashier, who immediately asked us if we were eating here or to go, which made me feel like I was being rushed into ordering immediately, rather than given time to look at the menu. I quickly chose to build my own burger, with ¼ chuck, cheese, mayonnaise, and bacon with a side of fries and a medium drink. My dad ordered the same thing, minus a drink, and my brother ordered something similar. Our total came to $ 39 and some change, which shocked me quite a bit! Why was it so expensive? The burgers do not come with a combo option, which means we all purchased fries and drinks separately, making everybody’s meal over $ 10 each. I thought that was kind of annoying, but oh well. The burger and fries were pretty good, but I don’t think the price is very fair for what you get. They should offer meal deals. I did notice you could get discounts if you join their rewards program, which looked like a pretty good way to save some cash when ordering food here. All in all, it was an okay experience. Nothing too special. It was a good meal, but I don’t think I’ll be back for awhile. There are better burgers out there for way better prices, that’s for sure.

I wasn’t expecting such good food from a place I’ve passed by almost everyday for the past year but that’s exactly what I got at the Burger Joint. Their burger are amazing, I got the Joey Burger which has onion rings, cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce on top of a ½ pound patty of beef. I also got a malt to go with it and my mouth was sent to heaven on the first bite. My friends created their own burgers which is a cool feature they have. You can choose what type of meat, how much(¼ or ½ pound), what cheese and what condiments you want, although the a few of them cost $ 1 extra each. It’s a very nice, laid back, in your home kitchen environment that welcomes all who are hungry. We will definitely be going back again… And again.

EDIT: The manager contacted us to sort out this misunderstanding. We were very pleased with their response and I’ve updated my rating to reflect our usual experience. ORIGINALREVIEW My family and I have been here many times before and have enjoyed the food each time. Unfortunately, when we arrived to eat today we did not even make it to ordering. We had 5 in our party, plus newborn twins in their carriers. There were no tables free for that many of us as all the larger tables were occupied by smaller parties, so after a few minutes of standing looking around and debating what to do, we pushed two adjacent tables maybe 2ft together so we could eat as a family. This did not disturb any of the other guests, block any exits or walkways or cause any issue or any reaction from anyone, staff included. There were no signs saying not to move tables, no one said anything to us at the time, and we would have returned the tables once done. About 5 minutes later we went up to order, at which time the server, without even greeting us, told us we weren’t allowed to move tables. Fine. Not a problem. I asked if we could order first, and then move the tables back, and got no response other than a blank stare. Unsure of what to do, but wanting to place an order, I stood there until my husband came up to ask what the problem was. At which time the server launched into a defensive and generally rude tirade about the lack of respect shown by my husband and I. That we should have asked first to move tables and generally insinuating we were horrible human beings. When he said«would you move the tables at any other restaurant?» my patience gave in and we left to eat lunch elsewhere. At any other restaurant, the staff would have noticed a party that large, with two newborns and offered help to seat them instead of yelling at them. When my husband went back an hour or so later to talk to the manager, he was again spoken to rudely and told that our family was no longer welcome back. My husband and I both have worked a number of years in customer service and in the food industry. We know what it is like, we know the customer isn’t always right and we are always extra careful to be courteous and understanding. There is no excuse for the way we were treated at the Burger Joint today. I’m disappointed to miss out on their burgers in the future, but will happily avoid an establishment where treatment of customers in this way is endorsed.

WOW, let’s start with the burger, firstly they were out of 109 steak burger(how does a burger place run out of burger meat of any sort???) then the bottom bun was so soggy that when I attempted to pick it up the overly proportioned condiments were spilled all over my jeans. The patty itself was burned to a crisp on one side and almost completely raw on the other, I ordered it with cheese which I found none. I also asked for their so called famous burnt onions(the ones on the burger were barely steamed) Their twice fried fries as they so proudly call them were so soggy that I couldn’t even imagine trying to eat them, they gave me a stomach ache just looking at them(plus they had a very strange darkness to them YUCK!) Finally I ordered a root beer float to go with my meal in which I received a bottle of root beer when I asked if the ice cream came on the side I was told I was only rung up for root beer(maybe he would have been able to hear me if they turned down the extremely loud music a smidgen) All in all I think this was the WORST experience I’ve ever had at a food place. First and last visit for me. The only decent thing that came out of the whole experience was the root beer itself which was pretty good but not worth over $ 10! *Update– I went back a second time and actually got a decent burger! The music was turned down a hair(I see I was not the only one to complain about that) the fries were a little better, they are pricey tho $$.

Only managed to make it here once. Thought it would be good because I love Sparkies and they are both owned by the same company. Not the case. My Burger and fries were gross. I would drive all the way to duck lake to get a good burger from Sparkies if I were you. Joey burger is delish.

A very consistent and affordable burger offering for downtown Milford. I really like the All Day Burger which complements a juicy ground chuck patty with the likes of bacon, cheddar, grilled sourdough, and a fried egg.

I was disappointed with my burger here … It had a sort of «dirty grease» taste that might come from not keeping the grill clean. It’s possible the taste was from my bacon. The fries were pretty good, and my daughter seemed to like her hot dog.

This place is SOLID! Fries — 5 stars Onion Rings — 3 stars Burger — 4 stars Is it the best burger in the world no, but there’s nothing wrong or bad about it. You have to compare it to the best of the best to try and find a negative. I’d have no problem consuming this burger at anytime. Really nice spread of toppings.
