I got my haircut from Summer and I couldn’t be happier. You really do feel like a movie star coming out of here. Summer listened carefully to what I wanted and took great care cutting my hair (and the head massage while she washed my hair was also incredible). I loved the result! The place is clean and pretty. Definitely coming again :)

I love this salon! I highly recommended. Its immaculate, has a nice ambience, the Stylists are professionals and you can practically fall asleep while getting your hair washed :)* the chairs are so comfortable and you get the best relaxing scalp massage.
I have tried different hairstylists without luck and when I found Malia, my search was over! She does an amazing job and every time I get my hair done, I feel like a MILLION DOLLAR! Thank you Malia!!!

I have been going to Nancy Larson since 1999 when she was at Paul Browns in Waikeli. I moved out of state several years ago so when I make my annual trip to Hawaii, I always schedule a haircut for her. I have not found anyone that cuts as well and cross cuts my hair as well as her. She takes her time to give a technically accurate haircut and style. I wholeheartedly recommend her.

If you are wondering what happened to the stylists at Paul Brown Waikele, check out Aviance Salon. Nancy, my stylist, is now the owner. Since she has been cutting my hair for over 30 years, I don’t need to tell her what to do anymore – she knows exactly how to cut my hair with quality and precision so that my hair looks its best. In fact, I have been observing the other stylists in the salon and am impressed with their skills. Everyone who walks out of the salon looks great. You will also be treated like family as soon as you walk in. There is a friendly vibe to the place and you will feel very comfortable getting your hair cut and styled at Aviance. Although I live in Aiea, I am willing to make the drive out to Mililani so that I can get my hair cut by someone with experience and talent. Now that they have a sign, Aviance is easy to find and has ample parking in front of the salon. As an added bonus, before/​after getting your hair cut, you can get lunch at Mililani Restaurant right across the street, then go shopping at Ross.

Rob is amazing! As is thank you God, my color and cut are perfect! The price is beyond reasonable and everyone in that place is really, really nice. Like good people nice… not easy to find these days. Back to my hair… Highlights & Lowlights perfect, exactly what I asked for… The cut is a dream… He also cut my daughter’s hair, which is a curly nightmare, mostly because she is so particular… Guess what? It’s perfect too! More importantly she loves it! This happy camper can’t recommend this place more!

When you go to the salon, you want to walk out feeling like a movie star and that’s how I felt. I was a little apprehensive at first– mostly because I was cutting off a lot of my hair and I had to blindly trust someone to do it. I also asked for bayalage and worried that whoever was going to do my hair didn’t have proper training. I ended up seeing Kris and she really took the time to make sure I was getting what I wanted. I brought in a few pictures and she asked to see them several times and asked what I liked about them or explained how the model’s hair was cut or colored. She also didn’t talk very much which I like because I don’t want to spend hours making small talk– it’s my time to relax. What I loved about the salon was that I was the only person my stylist was working on. She wasn’t busy cutting someone’s hair while my color was setting and I appreciate businesses that operate that way. I also really like the hair washing stations because they’re set up in a way that is comfortable to your neck.
I highly recommend Kris for your haircut and color needs.

So, I got my hair done with a family friend. It didn’t come out the way I wanted it too. I had orange brassy hair, a crooked cut, brush marks where the dye was applied and of course I was very unhappy. I did not want to go any where with my hair like that! Thank god my grandmother knew Nancy, the owner of this salon! VERY sweet and kind hearted woman. After speaking to her about my situation, she booked me in immediately with Summer. My god she does AMAZING work! I didn’t think my hair could be fixed! She really worked a miracle on my hair! She is patient, kind and really cares about her clients. She took her time with me, making sure she knew exactly what I wanted. She knew what to do to fix my hair. She recolored my roots, redid the whole balyage, while adding low-​lights at the same time. Very tedious work! I still have to go back for another session, but this first session fix is just beautiful! She took her time and was very thorough throughout the whole process. I have never been to a salon that has stylists who take their time and is as thorough as she is. She is hands down THE BEST I have ever went too! I’ve been to a lot of salons and I will never be going to another stylist again. Thank you so much Summer! These pics doesn’t do my hair justice. Can’t wait for the finish product.

Finally found a salon again! Just went to get haircut (length and layers). Summer did an amazing job. Took her time to get my haircut the way I wanted. I’m so happy that I found a salon close to home (Mililani — near the First Hawaiian Bank). Definitely give this place a try.

I followed the ladies from Paul Browns Waikele (now close) to their new salon Aviance located in Mililani shopping center (not town center) this is located across from Foodland next to First Hawaiian Bank. Ive always wanted a Japanese Straight Perm but thought i couldnt because i have highlights. Well when Kris said she could do it i trusted her and OMG my hair is awsome. Never been so smooth and silky and with the highlights wow. If you want a japanese straight perm and have highlights call Kris at Aviance she will take great care with your hair. Thank you Kris…

If any of you are familiar with the Mililani Shopping center (Not Town Center), this is located next to the family health center and a few doors down from First Hawaiian Bank (it’s on the same side as the Jack in the Box)
The place itself is not as big as other salons may be, but you don’t get that cramped feeling either. The walls are so calming and when you have a beautiful mix of music playing it creates a relaxed atmosphere.
Upon entering, I was greeted right away with a friendly smile. I arrived early because I was excited and left early to get there lol. Thanks to Jeff, I was able to get a haircut so I can look cute for my birthday next week (OCT 22 y’all!). I gave the receptionist my name and right away she escorts me to the back so I could put on a robe. I thought Abira had to sit in the front but fortunately the stylist that works next to my stylist was off so she could sit there with her iPad lol.
My stylist (who also happens to be my bestie) is Summer K and I swear she does magic to my hair every time. She takes the time to really get an idea of what you want done to your hair. If you are unsure, she makes suggestions or asks questions to help you build an idea. Overall, no pressure. She lets you decide. I scheduled the appointment with the thought of getting something like a trim but today I decided to cut off most of my dry/​damaged hair. At this point I was hating the idea of brushing through my hair and seeing all the breaking and hearing my hair crunch when you squeeze it. We were excited! When the consult was done, it was time to wash!
Washing the hair part is definitely one of my favorite things because aside from getting my hair washed with pretty smelling shampoo, she gives this really nice scalp massage or something. I gotta ask her what it is but it is so relaxing!
I return back to my chair with my hair wrapped up. She puts a white cape on me and gets to work.
I love that she can converse with you while doing her job. I’d feel comfortable around her even if she wasn’t already my friend. She takes her time to make sure she has done her job well, but she doesn’t take forever. You can tell that she really puts thought and extra effort into her work. She styles it beautifully and she gives you tips if you ask (she taught me to spray a comb with hairspray to help with fly aways) She will not say she’s done unless she’s happy with her work.
One of the other things I noticed was that they work together as a team to keep the place presentable and clean. Someone comes around to sweep up any hair that has been cut off. I like that.
All in all (consult, wash, cut, style) it took around 2 hours and it was worth it. Ladies, if you need to find a good stylist, I highly recommend Summer K.
They take cash and card (not sure if they take American Express) and there is a lot of parking nearby. They have the option of appointments or walk-​ins.

Kris Parish has been my hairstylist forever. I totally trust her with all of my hair needs and would drive any where to have her do my hair. It’s rare to find someone that doesn’t just do want you want, but does what is best for your hair, and I appreciate that!

There is a new salon in Mililani… Aviance Salon, at the location previously called Salon Andre. The stylists have moved from Paul Browns Waikele to offer their expertise and professional customer care to Mililani! Ask for Malia. She has always provided a great cut and color for me. I’m never disappointed

I am a person who doesn’t do anything to my hair but expects a miracle of waking up and my hair being done! Malia is my miracle! I can do as simple as that! Waking up and with a little shake of my head my hair is done! How awesome is that! I’ve been going to malia since she was at waikele! Like I swear about 10 years! If you want miracles go to Aviance! Great customer service, very nice people, super fun, and of course my miracle maker Malia!

I have been going to malia since she was at Paul brown waikele (by the way almost all the stylist have moved here) Malia is the only stylist I ever let touch my hair!!! She is precise & knows exactly what she is doing. She has awesome customer service & really cares about her clients. Go check her out. She is amazing with my color!!! You wont regret it. I’ve been going to see Rob for almost a year and he’s cuts my hair perfect every time. Even though I’m active duty military he keeps me stylish but within regulations every time. Even though the price is kind of up there for a male cut, with the free clean up (pretty much another free hair cut) it’s definitely worth the price and the drive up to Mililani. Kudos to him!!! One faithful customer!

OMG! Aviance Salon is located in Mililani a couple doors down from First Hawaiian Bank. They were previously known as Salon Andre, but is now under new management. The current staff are from Paul Brown Waikele (now closed). Since I’ve discovered Malia, the stylist from Paul Brown, I make my drive down to Mililani which is a little bit further down from Waikele because it’s worth it. I absolutely love the way Malia cuts and colors my hair and she gives a great scalp massage. The staff there are very friendly and you can feel the positive energy as soon as you walk in the door. There’s lots of parking available unlike the Waikele location. It’s a great location with a variety of stores close by. Give them a try. Walk in’s are welcome.
