Equator Coffees & Teas

This is probably the most adorable coffee shop I’ve set foot in. Definitely got a strong local vibe; there were plenty of seats/​tables available and there’s a parking lot right next door. Came up from SF to go kayaking in Sausalito but first, coffee! Sitting outside, sipping on some coffee — pure happiness. Perfect place to go for a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city :)

I loved everything about this place EXCEPT the customer service. I went to equator coffee on our way back from the beach 2÷20÷16 and was in a fabulous mood when I got there. When a friend of mine asked the woman making the coffee (Stephanie) what was the strongest and sweetest coffee they have, she (Stephanie) gave a suggestion and then rolled her eyes and said «I guess you can put a lot of vanilla in it». I ordered after my friend and as I was waiting for my coffee, I could smell chi so I asked Stephanie if she was making the chai latte. Her reply was simply «no», so I stuck around for small talk and mentioned how nice the place was and she just nodded her head. I thought to myself, wow she must need some coffee. I felt her negativity the whole time I was in the coffee shop. Other than that, the place was extremely clean and the coffee was absolutely amazing. Michael was working hard at keeping the place running smoothly. He was very nice and polite. I highly recommend getting coffee there. Unfortunately some people don’t appreciate their job as much as others do.

This was my first time at this location and I have to admit I am absolutely in love with it. It is a cozy little café, with a very local vibe. I ordered a soy vanilla latte and it was the best latte that I have had in a while! The coffee is amazing (I am definitely coming back to purchase their espresso beans), the service is fast, and the interior/​exterior are striking yet neighborly … modern yet down to earth.
Something I would have liked to see though, would be friendlier staff. It is a local coffee shop. A place you’d like to go because the staff make you feel taken care of, the ambience lifts your spirits and the barista is happy to see you and wants to inspire your day with a perfect cup of coffee. That is not what I experienced, but it is certainly what I hope to see when I come back!

Cool coffee place with a hipster atmosphere. However, it is very small and can get really busy — but it is otherwise cozy. Price-​wise, it can get pretty expensive.

We stumbled upon this very cool coffee shop on our way to Muir Woods. My bestie wants to grab coffee and was looking for SB or any coffee shop around the area when I spotted this. The place has very cool vibe with surf boards lined up on one side of the shop.
You want it strong, you want it yummy… then try equator coffee…

Just wish the guys that wear their equator bike jerseys would follow the SAME ROAD/​SAME RULES
I.E. Stop at red lights, stop signs, not speed on bike path

YUMMY. The cold brew is absolutely delicious. STRONG, just the way I like it. This will wake you up and put your appetite on hold for hours. There’s another location that is supposed to be more charming and has a full café but I didn’t have time to venture there.
When I first moved here, I experimented and tried all the coffee houses so I could find which one was my favorite. Living on the Peninsula, I don’t find a lot of places that prepare Equator coffee. I go to Philz (not exactly a punishment and a solid favorite also) but Equator has something extra special to it. Also, I figure if it’s good enough for Thomas Keller… then it’s good enough for me!

Their yogurts look small but they are super filling AND you get to keep the mason jar! (Great containers for food or to decorate and give away as presents)
The coffee here is great, too.
