I’ve been seeing Dr. Yang as my dentist for 15 years. The service level that he provides to his patients is impeccable. He is always update to date on the latest procedures and provides outstanding insight into maintaining a healthy smile. The organizational skills of his team are excellent and always prepared for patient visits.

Friendly, efficient office. Dr. Yang focuses only on what you need and want. Options are laid out and quoted including insurance coverage. No concerns regarding unnecessary, money making procedures. Been through quite a few dentists and have been very pleased over the last 2 years using this dental practice.

The service here is great! The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable too. I’m very happy to have chosen them as my dentist. Best experience yet! Veronica is very kind. Dr. Leo is very patient, thorough, and kind. If I could give this place a 3 thumbs up, I would!

Dr. Yang is the best dentist I have been to and I have been to a lot in the last 35+ years because we have moved a lot. I have been going to him for over 2 years. My husband works in the dental industry and Dr. Yang was a name that kept coming up when we moved to Marin as a phenomenal dentist, including by his own colleagues — he is so knowledgeable and does great work. He is a perfectionist. He is a highly skilled professional who is so knowledgeable in his field. He is the first dentist I have really trusted as far as needing to do any work such as cavities, etc.
I switched to him from another dentist when I wanted a second opinion on whether or not I needed a crown (other dentist told me that I did and in fact I didn’t) Dr. Yang explained why he didn’t think it was necessary. He knows what he is doing and isn’t overly aggressive with treatment. My whole family sees him now.
I even referred my mom and dad (72 and 84 years old) and they just love him as well which says a lot. My mom has been to many many dentists and specialists in her lifetime and some really skillful ones as she has had problems with her teeth since she was a young adult. She says by far, Dr. Yang is the best. The hygienist I see there is also wonderful (Taren). She is thorough, yet gentle, personable and knowledgeable. I actually look forward to seeing her!
I also appreciate the fact that his office has the latest technology and equipment, including the ability to do same day crowns unlike most other offices in which you need to do multiple visits.
All around, it is a very personable environment. The staff is friendly and they actually remember your name! If you are looking for a new dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Yang’s office! The office is great too. I am a mom of two young children so going to the dentist is actually a break for me and the environment is relaxing (even with getting my teeth cleaned) with open views of the trees and sky above when you are lying in the chair :).

I have been a patient of Dr. Leo Yang and Dr. Candy Lee of Mill Valley, CA for many years. They are «THE BEST» there is when it comes to dentistry and treating their patients with kindness and respect. They have a very friendly staff along with a lovely reception room where they serve tea, coffee and an occasional cookie. This is the place to go if you have any problems with your teeth. You surely will not regret it. I am 87 years young and have a mouth full of teeth. :-)

One would think since I work in the dental field, it would be easy to find a good dentist. I have put off repairing a tooth, because of the fear and pain usually associated with dental work. When I met Dr. Yang, I knew he was the right dentist for the job.
Dr. Yang’s Staff were helpful, and very thorough, regarding my benefits. Dr. Yang has a wonderful bed side manner, explaining everything fully. He was honest and answered all my questions patiently.
My filling needed to be taken out, and fitted with a crown. I was impressed with how fast and comfortable the procedure was. Dr. Yang used a device which provides a «painless» injection. He was also very meticulous when it came to designing my new crown.
With all the technology and expertise he possesses, I was able to walk out the same day (less than 2 hours, really) with a new and improved tooth!
My new crown looks amazing!
Truth be told, it was unexpectedly pleasant.

I have been told for years that my wisdom teeth would become a problem.
After 3 years of Orthodontics i wasn’t in a big hurry to have my teeth pulled out .
My Girlfriend Recommended I contact Dr Yang’s office to have them removed. I called his emergency line and explained to Dr Yang the issues I was having and sent him a e-​mail of some old x-​rays. The office was closed for the weekend but he still had me come in to take a look. His assistant came in also.
A 3D scan of my jaw as taken and Dr Yang showed me in detail the damage my wisdom teeth were causing to my bone gums and other teeth. Surprisingly he was ready to do it that day.
I’ve never had a tooth pulled so I had Anxiety, but his assistant explained in detail how the procedure would go and what to expect. I choose a movie from their NETFLIX collection and watched Hangover 2 using their WIFI sunglasses.
I had two teeth pulled and I plan to return to have the other ones done also. Dr. Yang and his assistant were Awesome. I even got a phone call from him to see if I was doing OK after my visit .I look forward to completing any treatment I need with him and his team. His office was clean, comfortable and calming. If you are looking for a Dentist, I highly recommend you visit this dental office.

Dr. Yang is the best! He always puts a smile on my face and is definitely the nicest dentist I’ve ever been to! The staff is always so welcoming and accommodating to getting me seen despite my busy work schedule. If you’re looking for a new, amazing dentist he’s the one!

From the first visit, I have remained so impressed with Dr. Yang’s knowledge and professionalism. His staff complements the experience! Anaiza, Sierra, Laura, Amily and Veronica are great!!! He spends a lot of time explaining treatment options; he uses the latest technology to both illustrate and treat whatever dental issues are presented. He is a perfectionist. if he doesn’t think results are perfect, he will redo until the best possible outcome is reached. How often do you encounter that kind of professionalism??? I recently cracked a front tooth and after completing the veneer, he insisted (though I was OK with it) that I return as he felt the color result was not to his high standards. He redid the veneer!
We moved to Sonoma and both continue to trek down to Mill Valley because we wouldn’t trust our dental care with anyone else!!!

I really enjoyed my visit to Dr. Yang’s dental office. The staff are extremely friendly and made me feel very welcomed as a new patient to their practice. Dr. Yang answered all of my questions and provided detailed pictures of before and after of the work he did which was very helpful for me to understand what and why certain procedures were being done. The office is also easy to get to, has parking, and best of all a beautiful view of Mt. Tam while sitting in the patient chairs — very relaxing! I am looking forward to having Dr. Yang become my regular dentist from now on!

I have been going to this office on Miller Avenue in Mill Valley since 1977. First with Dr. Colin Wong, and now with Dr Leo Yang who has been stellar in his care and guidance relative to the care of my teeth condition, bite and appearance. After Dr Yang took over, I’m guessing at least 10 — 12 years ago, I was unsure who the fellow was who had moved into the lead role. I must say however, since Dr Yang has operated this practice, the level of care has improved and my teeth feel and look great. I would recommend Dr Leo Yang’s practice to anyone who is in need of (what I feel) is an industry leader in the dental field. The supporting cast is spot on and shows what a «team» effort can do when everyone is on the same page.

I have been seeing Drs Lee and Yang for many years. They always take the time to make sure their patients understand everything, they invest in high quality technology, and truly make an effort to give their patients the best outcomes possible. I now live in Novato but happily make the trip to Mill Valley to see them. They are truly top-​notch.

My girlfriend actually uses Leo and convinced me to head over to Mill Valley from SF as i was having some real trouble with my back teeth. I’d been ignoring the issue for over a year and eventually my tooth broke down to the root.
Leo has ultra modern technology. The x-​rays are instant and he also takes pictures of the issue to show you. I really liked knowing exactly what needed to be done.
He gave me several options and then suggested the route he would take. The procedure was fine and the results so far have been really pleasing
The whole process was well managed and felt very professional. Cost was reasonable so i’m giving Leo 5 stars as the overall experience was excellent.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Leo Yangs for 2 years now, and I can easily say I have never had a better experience with a dentist.
Leo and his team and are extremely talented in their craft and have great bedside manner, which is a very important to me.
I participated in a «smile renovation» and it has been life changing.
I went to see Leo as the top row of my teeth had big gaps in it and the teeth where various sizes (like a 10 year old teeth, but I’m 26!). I always felt very self-​conscience of it and it and never happy with my smile.
I met Leo for a consultation where he took photos of my teeth and we both analyzed my smile on a computer screen, what I liked and did not like about it. I thought this was amazing. I had never experienced anything like this, i really appreciated his genuine interest in my teeth.
After getting only 4 veneers for my top 4 teeth, my smile has been completely transformed!
Today my teeth are perfect! Leo hand crafted each tooth to fit my own smile, his attention to detail is pretty amazing. By hand he made each tooth blend with the rest, adding slight markings to match the rest of my smile. He’s an artist! By making slight imperfections to the flawless veneers, he gave me a natural, perfect smile. I seriously could not be happier!
The whole process was very quick and his staff was amazing, supportive and kind. I felt safe and taken care of through the whole experience.

I recently starting going to Dr. Yang because my last dentist was practicing with 1980 technology. When I went in for my first appointment yesterday I was really impressed with Dr. Yang, his office and Staff. He had 2 CEREC machines to make same day crowns, digital x-​rays, and a 3D imaging machine.
Dr. Yang spent over an hour doing a very thorough examination of my mouth. He showed me areas of my mouth that had some issues. He did this to educate me and never felt like he was trying to sell or pressure me on doing work.
I would highly recommend Dr. Yang to anyone who wants a truly caring & thorough dentist using the latest technology available to preform the best dental care possible.

Never have been a fan of going to the dentist which is why I stayed away until I had a dental emergency. Dr. Yang was highly recommended. I walked away impressed with the professionalism, cleanliness, state of the art equipment and mostly with the feeling of comfort!

Mill Valley Dentist is one of the most genuine dental practices I have been to. They give you full disclosure of your existing dental conditions and walk you through the entire process explaining potential causes and effects as well immediate treatment options and long term lifestyle choices or habits that may impact your overall dental health.
Few practices I have been to offer the same kind of insight and treatment provided at Mill Valley Dentist. In my experience having been to a handful of dentists in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and Seattle regions over the years, it is not uncommon for dentists to limit the amount of exposure time they have with their patients while much of your time is spent with the hygienists even when getting major dental work done — Dr. Yang is not one of those dentists. He knows his stuff and stays up to date with the latest and greatest in dental related advancements and technology available today while providing honest feedback on your current state of health. More importantly, he invests time in building a relationship of mutual trust and understanding of your preferred method of treatment whether you elect to follow through with more aggressive/​conservative methods of treatment.
I highly recommend Mill Valley Dentist especially for having any major dental work done as they have their own in-​house lab and are able to provide you with same-​day crowning services with quality porcelain grade material. Considering many places charge the same standardized rates based on your insurance provider and associated claim codes, this is one of those places where you really do get what you pay for: Quality treatment with some of the most advanced dental equipment available today.

This is my second review because I can’t stop myself from saying good things about this practice.
Specifically, they are both a rare combination of smart and educated regarding leading edge treatments available. This is mixed with a creative approach to fulfilling YOUR needs and not their pockets! They are funny, kind, and always inventing new ways to deal with your special needs yet perfectly skilled in traditional dentistry. I learn a lot and this makes me trust them when they fill in the reasons they do things with visuals and a good friendly lecture where you get to ask lots of hard questions.
I like their office as it has a zen-​like quality and the front staff makes payment, appointments and insurance as easy as is possible. I always know where I stand financially and yet it doesn’t feel like pressure but help.
Before I came to Drs. Yang and Lee I never realized that going to the dentist could be fun and make me want and work toward being more diligent and positive about my dental health and smile.

I like Dr Yang and think he is extremely competent, however what I’m looking for in a dentist differs from what I found in his office. Although I think he’s an excellent technician, I had a few issues which ultimately led me to leave.
First was the rotating pool of hygienists. I rarely saw the same one more than twice, and there was substantial variation in quality. In fact the best I had was when Dr Yang did the cleaning himself, but this was unfortunately not common. My recommendation would be to pay a bit more to find good hygienists who stick around.
I also felt like Dr Yang was often pushing some service or other that I wasn’t interested in, and I don’t like being pushed. I would rather that he simply state what he finds, and let me ask for the super duper whitening or the cosmetic straightening or whatever. Clearly views on this differ by the standard of care you desire, but it wasn’t right for me.
Finally, over the years I’ve found substantial differences in how aggressive dentists are at attacking problems that are not urgent, be they emerging cavities, cracks in existing fillings, etc. In the range of dentists that I’ve experienced — maybe a half dozen — my view is Dr Yang lies on the end of the scale where he finds things to fix that may not be urgent. While this may indeed be what some people want, my style is to put off to the pain and the expense until it is unambiguously required.
