I live within walking distance of this wonderfully convenient shopping center. It has most everything you could need. There are plenty of restaurants. My wife and I frequently have lunch at La Boulange and High Tech Burrito. There is also a wide variety of shopping, including shoes, clothes, furniture, and groceries.

Located right off Highway 101 is a shopping center that resembles a Spanish villa. Welcome to Marin County, my friends! The Strawberry Village has been a Mill Valley mainstay for years. This is where folks come to do their grocery shopping, their coffee drinking(2 Starbucks locations, and La Boulange), and family dining(Harmony Restaurant, Thep Lela, Pizza Antica, Plant Café, etc.). For folks who prefer a quick meal to go, there is also an In ‘N Out Burger, High Tech Burrito, and Pasta Pomodoro. Over the years, they’ve done a nice job of landscaping the property. There are plenty of palm trees and outdoor seating areas. Lots of good Feng Shui action happening here. And they’ve done a nice job of keeping things clean. Seldom will you find litter or debris on the ground. There’s usually ample parking. But at peak lunch hours, it can get a bit crowded. And for what ever reason, the Safeway seems to busy at all hours of the day. Even when it’s not busy, it still takes me 20 minutes to check out of there. Go figure. In the past year, more upscale shops have opened their doors to appease the local Soccer moms, including Spanish Table, West Elm, Lavande Nail Spa, and Athleta. You certainly won’t find a Target or $ 1 Store in this mall. Welcome to Mill Valley, folks. Although Strawberry Village continues to expand its vendor portfolio and spruce itself up, my favorite thing about this mall is the smaller businesses who have been there for years. I’m talking about the old shoe/watch repair store, the dry cleaner, the copy shop, the ice cream parlor(that still refuses to accept credit cards), and Arch Rival(which continues to sell expensive sports ware and shoes even though you can get the same things online for a fraction of the price). These businesses have withstood the test of time, and I’m happy to support them. All in all, I feel lucky to have the Strawberry Village in my hood. I probably frequent the place at least 4 – 5 times/week for my shopping/dining/coffee needs. And I’ll continue to do so.
