Pretty good Famous Footwear location. Not the largest, but has a great shoe selection and great prices. The staff aren’t great, but they are knowledgable about shoes(just wish they’d be more friendly). This location wasn’t too busy when I stopped in yesterday, and was very organized. I didn’t have any issues finding sizes or getting help what so ever, so it wasn’t a problematic trip to Famous Footwear. Also, this location has a great clearance section, just wish the prices were less(don’t we all?). Located in the Shoppes @ Blackstone Valley in Millbury, right off Route 146, exit 9. Located on the left hand side(as you enter the complex), with other retailers such as Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, Paper Store and others in the immediate. Make a day out of shopping here, it’s SUCH a great place to go.

My first thought as I was walking up to the store this past weekend is that I must be nuts walking in here with the masses two weeks before the start of school. In actuality it wasn’t that bad. Though there were many people inside, the store was in reasonable shape and there was plenty of selection. For a change there was plenty of help, unfortunately the three of them were hanging around the middle of the store hanging around having a good time instead of paying attention to the customers.

I just had a really bad experience at this store, Today at approx. 4:30pm the Assistant mgr, Marianne, was exceptionally out-of-line, rude and very insensitive. My 2 yr old had to go to the restroom and we had knocked on the«employee only» door earlier because she needed to go pee,(we are in training) I looked quickly around the back near the door for an employee but didn’t see anyone, I knocked on the door, opened it called for someone at the same time I saw the women’s restroom door less than 1 foot away, went in and came back out. About 20 mins later my daughter says she has to go poop, and had begun in her undies, we ran to the same door and went in. A few mins later the Assistant Mgr, Marianne opened the bathroom door and told us no one should be back here, I was in the midst of cleaning her up in the rear, she said it says«employees only» I explained to her I had looked for someone and had knocked and called for someone to ask, but no one answered, considering this was an «emergency» I came in once again, She propped the bathroom door open while I cleaned the poop off my daughter’s bum, she stood outside, I asked her for some privacy please, and she insisted that I shouldn’t be back here, I got upset and took the prop out and shut the door. When we were done, I came out and ask her for her full name and she said I wouldn’t need it that she’s the only Marianne there. I commented to her how this is a «family» store and she was providing me bad customer service. I reminded her it was an emergency. How rude of her to not even knock, prop the door open, and be somewhat not helpful(not that I would’ve needed it from her, unless she could go out and by new underwear for my 2 yr old, that I had to toss out). I can not believe her lack of appropriate customer service. I am appalled that a store where children’s shoes are sold has an employee that is insensitive to the needs of a mother and the children it sells shoes to. She not once apologized to us and was very cocky when we were leaving the store with her comments made after I again expressed my disappointment in her bad customer service.
