Milpitas Summer Day Camps is a MUSTFORYOUCHILD! Wow! I was so impressed with these guys. I was hired to perform my Daffy Dave Comedy Magic and Juggling Show for this camp and I felt my inner child come out again right away. It brought back memories of a «Summer Fun Camp» I attended growing up on the island of Kauai. The staff was very positive and ran a tight ship but with a loving touch. And, guess what? The kids reflected this back in their awesome fun spirit and good behavior. If I lived in Milpitas and had kids I would send them here for sure! Way to go Milpitas Summer Day Camps! Dave M. My 5yr old son currently goes to camp golden arrow. That is the younger camp for ages 5 – 8. He seems to enjoy it and has some favorite counselors. Every Wednesday they have a field trip and every Friday they get to swim at the pool at the Milpitas Sports Complex. He comes back with fun and pretty cool projects(bird feeder, ocean in a mason jar, etc). I will probably enroll him again next summer.

This review is for the Busy Bee Summer Camp up to age 5 run by Élan Sprit Preschool. It’s for three days a week. Kids have art and cooking on Mondays, science and music on Wednesdays, and field trip to Gill Park on Fridays. They also have wet days every other week. Basically, the teachers are all so friendly and attentive. My son gets to practice preschool skills. writing and reading as well as socialize. He loves it! Not sure how many weeks this goes for… ends in August started in June.

My niece(6 last summer) attended this camp last summer for a week, and didn’t like it. Her parents hoped she would like it because it was very reasonably priced for Milpitas residents($ 150 for 5 full days, can’t beat that). Don’t want to be unfair to this place since our experience was only for 1 week. And I’m comparing it to other camps that were more expensive. In the other camps, my niece got to know one or two counselors really quickly and bondedwith them and would talk nonstop about them. In this camp, it was babysitting, not a ‘camp’ feeling and the employees sort of hung out watching the kids but not participating or engaging the kids. They did not appear to have the maturity or job training that I’ve seen at other camps. On the good side, they played a lot of games outdoors and it included swimming at the Community Center. And, the price is right. I guess it’s still a much needed inexpensive babysitting option for working parents.
