My family likes to come here for breakfast. It’s a diner style place so nothing fancy. The waitresses are always so sweet and dote on my young son. It can get crazy busy on the weekends so you may have to wait a while for a table but over all we like. :)

If you want a no-frills, classic diner breakfast, then this is the place to come. I give Stella’s 3 stars because of a few reasons, first, the service can be pretty unexcited that you are there, second, if it’s a busy weekend day, there is no real system to seating people and with two entrances, I’ve seen patrons get annoyed that people who have come in after them will get seated before them, third, the food can be lackluster. I say«can be» for the service and food because out of the three times I have been here, two times that was the case. However, our first time, we had a very friendly server, and the food was great — just what we wanted from a big diner breakfast — so it could just be that the next two times I didn’t order their specialties.

Stella’s is a decent diner in Milton center. There is plenty of free parking on Adams and the side streets. We came here for breakfast this morning to check it out. This place is cash only, and so make sure you have it; otherwise they have an ATM in the diner and there are a number of bank ATMs on Adams. Service is friendly and quick. Prices are decent. Food is good. I had a mushroom and cheese omelet, which comes with home fries and toast(I got raisin toast). I also got an order of bacon, extra crispy. My food was perfect! I would definitely come back!

Just your standard diner/breakfast place. The times that I’ve been here I usually order eggs, sausage, and pancakes. Service is prompt but not overly friendly. It’s definitely outdated and not much in terms of atmosphere. But it’s an okay place to stop by for a quick breakfast.

The atmosphere is bland and outdated, but you see that in diners quite a bit so the first time we went here I had some relatively high hopes. The service is lacking, to say the least, with an unfriendly waitress team who seem annoyed that you are even there. There is one woman who appears at least a bit friendly, but the others are dreary and act as if you are imposing on them to take your order. The food takes forever to come out, and it’s just breakfast! Then you get your food and it is not good. You could have made something better at home with the last 2 remaining eggs in your fridge and a hot plate. Skip this place, head to McKenna’s in Dorchester– it’s just 5 minutes from here.

Low key, no frills type of place. Booth and stool seating. Ordered a egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich and a pancake. Food was OK. Nothing out this world or spectacular. The service was quick and friendly. Prices were fair. Street parking and cash only.

We hadn’t been to Stella’s in years, but thought we’d try it again for breakfast. The food was aweful… potatoes were cold, toast tasted old. The server was very unfriendly and never checked in, never offered coffee or tea refills. Then when she took the money to pay the bill, she kept the change for herself and assumed it was her tip! It was 35% which was not the tip we would have left. NEVERNEVER going back!

Just what you would expect from a little breakfast/lunch joint. Friendly service, hot tasty food and coffee refills. I frequent Stella’s on the weekend with my boyfriend and have never been disappointed here. We come here from Quincy because it’s the best place for breakfast around us.

Eh first time here and I’ve had better making it myself… hash taste like it comes out of a can the waitress didn’t seem to want to be here… and the décor is straight out of the 60’s! It could be a great place to come but they need to improve on the quality of food!

This is a great little breakfast place. Really inexpensive and the staff is very nice. The service was very quick and the breakfast sandwich is really good. So far that’s all I’ve had. They have a counter to sit at which is nice if you’re by yourself.

Decent food… good service. The waitress was nice but tried a little too hard or something… also I was with a friend and she saw me on my cell phone and said«I will come back when you are off your phone.» So now my friend is saying to me…“Stay off your phone… I’m hungry.” Is there a diner rule saying I can’t make a call… LOL! I could have easily put the phone down when she came to take my order… tell her what I wanted and finish my call… I thought it was weird and felt like a hostage of sorts… I went outside to finish call as my friend put in our orders but it was odd… never heard that one before… Overall the food was good. Decent for breakfast. Stay off your cell phone though… lol!

Big fan of this place. My family has been going here for years. The staff is very friendly and the food is consistently good. It has a great small town diner feel. I recommend the turkey club with well done french fries!

My favorite spinach and feta omelet. Love the waitstaff! I come here anytime I want breakfast but I’m not in too much of a hurry. It gets busy on weekends.

What has happened to Stella’s? We used to come for quick, good breakfast on the weekends, always enjoyed it. The past two times, about a month ago and again today, we waited an hour after giving our orders, got no food, limited coffee service, no apology. Today, we gave up after 50 minutes, paid for our coffees(she didn’t even offer to comp them, and did not apologize!), and left. We won’t try again. Too bad.

We tried to bring the kids to IHop Quincy(by their request) and there was a 30 minute wait so we headed to Milton to eat at Stella’s. Every time we’ve gone here we are able to sit down right away which was a huge plus with 2 little girls. Of course the girls’ eyes are bigger than their stomachs so I try to get them to split a meal which the staff was willing to accommodate. Depending on what you get it can take a little time before you are served. The food and the portions are good which is what you would expect from a local greasy spoon.

I’ve been here a few times– both in my younger days, after major drinking sessions and recently, just stopping in(I live pretty close to it now.) The place is A-OK. The coffee is terrible, which sucks because there’s a sign outside specifically stating«NOOUTSIDEBEVERAGES.» Ah well. The food I’ve ordered has always been fine– a bit on the bland side. Their menu is pretty big, and they have decent specials. The service is what you’d expect from a place looking like it’s stuck in 1985. I don’t think I’d definitely seek this place out, but if you’re in the area, it’s not a bad place to get an omlet.

STELLLLLLAAAA I was doing field work in Milton this past weekend and stumbled on Stella’s as a place to get warm and have some breakfast/lunch. The coffee was a little weak, but the prices are always right in here. Its very bare-bones…which is kinda what I like about the place. It has real diner chairs and booths and you can tell the waitstaff have been working there for 5+ years! They’re quick and very friendly. It was a great place to fill my belly on a cold day walking around Milton.

Sttttteeeelllllaaaa! We keep going back to Stella’s because it’s close and easy and consistent. Consistently average, yet consistent nonetheless. The décor is straight up 1987 and tragic, but you really don’t go to a place like Stella’s for the décor anyway. It’s almost always busy but tables move quickly so you usually don’t have a super long wait. They don’t have cheddar cheese, which I always find absolutely ridiculous, I mean who in the eff doesn’t carry cheddar cheese? Even without the cheddar, the omelets are decent as are the home-fries, again nothing to rave about, but the prices are good and it’s a neighborhood place. I did have my first affair with a grilled bagel at Stella’s and for that I will always be grateful.
