Celestine’s African Hair Braiding

Been going here off and on probably about 5 years and like many other African Hair braiding shops it has it’s pros and cons.
PROS:
–If you don’t like extremely tight braids and you reciprocate that issue to them, they won’t braid tight at all.
–Depending on who you get and what you get, the service is done fast.
CONS
–PRICE
–Apparently, the shop is owned by the mother, who in my opinion is rude.
–Loud talking in their native language. (Talking about customers?)
Other than that I don’t have any other complaints. It’s a decent shop compared to others where I have horror stories.

I went to this shop the first time everyone was very friendly an I loved my hair so I decided to go back. This time I brought my sister I got invisible braids this time I asked Celestine numerous of times was thee hair 100%human hair because I later wanted to get it curled she assured me it was. Two weeks later my ends were raggedy I couldn’t curl it with the curlers plug ins or stove curlers so we called her to fix it or a refund. My sister got hers took down because she couldn’t take it 240 gone the day she took my sisters hair down she informed her to tell me to Come she would curl my hair for free. I came she had to curl it with the curlers you dip in water if it had been all human hair you would not have to do so. Then after finishing she charged me $ 30 I explained she said it was going to be free she got loud and unaple to talk to so I just gave her the money and left. Also I referred my niece there before my disapproval with my hair and she quoted my niece mom 100 $ and then middle of doing her hair she changed the price to 150 $ my niece is only 9 I have never paid that much, and if you quote a price you should stick with it. She also stopped briakdng my niece hair went to the back behind a door never came back without saying anything 20 min later her daughter finishes my niece hair. I am very dissatisfied with their customer service and their approach on going about hinges stick to your prices and don’t lie about your product. I will not be returning or referring anyone.
