I was disappointed by this store! After reading the prior reviews, I think I expected more. This place is so tiny and cramped! There wasn’t anything fabulous and even the mediocre items seemed overpriced. Definitely nothing to write home about!

I can’t get these guys to ever friend me on Facebook… It’s like the ever elusive girl you have a major crush on, but can’t get close to. It’s probably because I’m from Chicago. And they think everything I buy from them is being pawned off for more money down here. Where, in reality, everything that I’ve bought from here I love too much to ever let go and is all showcased in my living room. And that’s just stuff I’ve actually bought. Not to mention, every single time I walk in there I find things that are interesting and reasonably priced, I’m tempted to buy them even if I don’t need them. I’m at a point where I start looking for things to replace in my home, just so I can make room for the stuff available at Clinton St. Antiques. All of this is hard to explain without pictures. But if you can find their Facebook page(which I have but cannot get updates for because they won’t friend me, god dammit this bothers me…), they post pictures of things for sale periodically so you’ll get a better idea. What else… cash only… Walkers Point area… the guy I always see resembles a midwestern version of Maurice Gibbs from the Bee Gee’s with a cap… who is rather dry and frank but will help you load your car if you’re alone and need some help… someone mentioned they play good music which they do… they have a pretty yard you can’t walk in to… JUSTGO.

This little spot is charming, well-laid out, and boasts a variety of interesting items. The displays, as Mike P noted, are indeed thoughtfully designed. Everything from old portraiture to kitschy lunchboxes from the 70s to furniture and art and all sorts of cool goodies… this place is small in comparison to some other antique spots around town, but the selection of items is carefully curated and as I mentioned earlier… it’s charming. I like antiques more than I thought. Who knew?

This store has very interesting merchandise and is SO reasonably priced. Yes, the people at the front are a bit quiet when you walk in, but who cares? I don’t need to be friends with the antique guys. Their stuff speaks for itself and I prefer to walk around in a nice peaceful environment. They do listen to good music too… I have to give them 5 stars because all-in-all, this is one of my most favorite antique stores in the whole area(Chicago included).

This is my fav antique store in the city! Cozy, historic building filled w/ever changing, diverse selection of antiques. The displays are arfully arranged and the items are priced to sell. Doug and Curtis are honest, down to earth dealers and are always a pleasure to encounter. This is a place for dealers and novices alike.

These guys were great! Had some wonderful stuff and gave us a great deal on a piece to fill a wall spot we’d been working on for a while. Very knowledgeable and display things in a way that inspires you to see how it could look in your own home.

Wandered in here on a Saturday looking for some used garden tools — and sure enough I found exactly what I was looking for at a great price. The place is well laid out… relatively small. and not too jam packed with«crap». It’s actually quite charming.

Nicely organized store will thoughtfully designed displays. There was a vintage kitchen table that my girlfriend and I instantly decided we needed but it was sadly sold. The owner said he didn’t have time to put a sign on it but had a similar table coming in and to stop back in. Owner was listening to Yellow Submarine. Doesn’t accept credit or debit cards for payment.

I love this place! Great variety, good prices, nice owner. If you see something you like you best buy it, because next time it could be gone. Because the prices are so good he has great turn over. Good for you because that means lots of new things for you each time you come in!

i’ve been going to this antique store for several years now. not only is the place kept tidy and clean, but there is a wide variety of items contained in a well manicured older building. i enjoy common kitchen and utilitarian items along with other oddities. these items rotate frequently to make it worth a stop every few months. if you happen to be there during the summer, they have one of the most exquisite back yards, which i call their, ‘private garden’ that include a koi pond and gorgeous water lilies. We stopped in this antique shop recently while on vacation. It was an interesting shop filled with a variety of items. Some primitive, some architectural, some 1950’s. It reminded us of the antiques shops seen in the midwest. A very cool mix of antiques I would say. Nothing was really high end but we did spot some rather expensive Maxfield Parrish prints on the wall priced at $ 450. There was even a set of vintage Victorian tiles for sale that you don’t often see. A small shop but interesting to look through. The shop owner wasn’t all that personable but that’s OK I guess.
