High pressure sales. We were incredibly disappointed in the dance instruction and overall experience at Fred Astaire on Milwaukee Street. Each 40-minute session consisted of a sales pitch and report card of our «happiness» level. We wanted to show up, have fun, learn, practice, and DANCE … but we did the same «push-pull» every time, and then got pushed and pulled into a room to convince us to purchase more lessons. Sadly, to avoid the constant sales pitch and uncomfortable atmosphere, we left before completing our 7-pack of lessons. Maybe we missed out by never attending a «Friday night dance party,» but I highly doubt it. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Ballroom dancing has been one of the best things in my life and that’s thanks to my Fred Astaire teachers and fellow students who have truly become my dance family. The lessons are informative and I have consistently improved my skills over the last year and a half. Not only do you learn a lot but you have a great time doing it! From lessons to dance parties to shows and competitions, there is always something to do with Fred Astaire and you’ll enjoy every minute of it!

I never thought I would be taking dance lessons, never the less ballroom dancing. Boy, am I glad that I decided to stop in to inquire about lessons. The experience has been amazing from the moment I stepped into Fred Astaire Milwaukee Studio. The crazy busy life that I live, I look forward to my dance lessons with two of the best teachers one can get. Those are the best 40 minutes of my week. I enjoy every second learning dance at this studio that is home to some of the nicest people with the warmest hugs. Special thanks to Mr. Schuyler and Mr. Ilya. Feeling blessed and honored to have had an opportunity to learn dancing from the both of you. Actually, thank you Fred Astaire Milwaukee family.

My husband and I have been taking dance lessons at Fred Astaire for about one year. We are both in our 60s and this has been a new and exciting challenge for us. Although at times it is hard, it has benefited us in many ways — great way to exercise and to keep our minds sharp and to meet new people. Our teachers are great — very professional and supportive! It’s never too late to learn how to dance!!!
