I still love this place and the overall vibe. Sometimes I wish it felt a little less casual. I don’t understand why the men wear dress cloths and the women wear t-shirts. You would think on a Friday night they would want them looking more classy. I understand they are a coffee bar during they day but on weekends I think I would cater to a dressier crowd.

Kafevino isn’t bad, but needs some work. The coffee is decent. Not Alterra quality, but decent. Also, I like that they have Cinnamon Toast Sticks. At times, they seem a little bit confused about exactly what their intention as a business is. For example, they have a classy décor and bill themselves as a wine and espresso bar, but when you go in there, you’re sometimes(overly) encouraged to have your food and beverage to-go. Also, despite looking rather upscale, there are signs on all of the tables to not expect table service, which I thought was kind of tacky. Every time I’ve gone in there, the place has been deserted, perhaps due to their rather confused business model. I think if they were to focus on being a nice, classy place to sip wine or espresso and encouraged their employees to reflect this(rather than act as if they’re working at Starbucks) they could really increase the number of customers. As it stands, if they don’t smooth over these problems, I fear they will be out of business within a couple of years.

This is a pretty sweet little mix of coffee and wine, with a café menu that shows a lot more promise than you’d expect. Coffee here was good, featuring Valentine blends for both brews and Alterra for their espresso. I didn’t eat lunch, just snacked on a lavender cookie while chatting with the staff. They were very informative. Jennifer, currently running their wine program, was really into what she’s doing here and it’s showing in their collection. I’m looking forward to seeing what they’ll do in the nicer weather.

I drove past Kafevino with a friend and decided to give it a try. For about $ 11 we received a bottle of wine and a small, goat cheese pizza. The pizza came free with the wine because it was the daily special(Monday). Despite being free, the pizza was very good; they did not skimp on any toppings. To top it off, the staff was very friendly and down to earth. I will definitely return.

Was walking by with a friend and noticed that everyone who was eating outside there had something very appealing on their plate. We decided to eat there And were very pleased. The service was great, the food was above average And the bill was very reasonable. We each had a panini and soup plus a glass of wine. The bill ended up being $ 26 total. Will definitely go back again.

I love this place! I had such a great time with my girlfriends here! They have a wonderful light breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, Great Wine and Coffees. The two workers Dave and Dustin were great And a women who was the chef, I’m not sure what her name is. They offer wine by the Ounce, half glass and full glass. They also sell full bottles of wine at retail prices! Can’t wait to go back!

I met up with some girlfriends here for a light dinner and a couple glasses of wine before we headed out for gallery night. The staff was really friendly, especially the wine consultant who was enthusiastic and helped us select wines to suit our individual tastes. The paninis we ordered were very tasty… the ingredients were fresh and the sandwiches were grilled perfectly. This is a great place to visit any time of day for coffee, lunch /dinner or just drinks.

When I first heard about this place opening, my first thought was to wonder about how exactly one would go about merging a coffee shop with a wine bar — followed by the thought that this actually makes a lot of sense! The atmosphere at Kafewino is light and comfortable enough to work as a coffee shop — which lends to the relaxed but dignified wine bar area too, which then continues just as fluidly into the cellar area — cool! I stopped by here to catch up with a friend over a couple glasses of wine, and had a blast! We ended up sitting at the bar and doing a couple flights, which worked out great, since the staff is typically friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions about the pours — as well as offer additional tastes and suggestions for your next glass. It looks like they rotate the bottles on their featured flights periodically, based on season, trends and availabilities, so you’ll always find something cool and new to discover. Definitely not pretentious or taking themselves too seriously, which is nice, because why NOT drink good wine even on a casual, low-key night?!

If you love the Third Ward as much as I do you have to check out this new Coffee and Wine Bar I tried the other night called KafeVino. They may have just opened the doors but they definitely know what they are doing. KafeVino opens early to serve up Homemade Belgium Waffles, Breakfast Paninis. Fresh Pastries and other assorted morning delights to go with your favorite cup of Java. Then throughout the afternoon and into the evening they offer simple yet delicious Sandwiches and Salads. The menu may not be Huge but the quality sure is. I had the Kafe Sandwich Du Jour which is a daily sandwich served on a pretzel Role and that day t was Homemade Egg Salad YUMMY!!! and a mixed green side salad with a Raspberry Vinaigrette. KafeVino also 36 wines by the Taste, Flight, Glass or Bottle behind the bar and 200 retail. After my meal I was given a little wine tour by the very knowledgeable and friendly wine staff and the price point where so reasonable I had to take home the Calcerous Cab and a very interesting white blend called Layers by Peter Lehman that I can’t wait to try. KafeVino is a must visit and I wish them much continued success. I will definitely be back to taste some of those wines behind the bar. Thanks for the Friendly and Great Service Jack Hudson

So far so good. Had a vanilla latte with whip and a mocha this morning… the whip on the latte is AWESOME… like, I think it’s REAL… the taste of each was very good… which was nice considering it took a while for them to be made(and I was the only one standing in line at the time). No white mocha though. Boo! White mochas are pretty popular… so I hope they take into consideration my suggestion to get that on their menu. Kafevino has the usual flavored shots, Americanos, Chais… and a hot chocolate that I’m looking forward to trying! Looks like their real focus here is going to be on the WINE end… takes up the whole joint really… menu offers many flight options to enjoy with friends. Foodwise a few items are offered for breakfast(none of which I’ve had yet)…“assorted pastries”, which on the day I visited amounted to a few things that really didn’t look appetizing… a panini, which according to the menu is ONLY offered with bacon(?)…waffles(for real)…and cinnamon toast sticks… I’ll get back with a review on these items when I try them out. There’s also salads and sandwiches and an artisan cheese plate… which should pair well with wines. Not sure exactly when they officially opened… seemed to take a while for them to get going… on August 26 it still seemed a bit rough as they couldn’t even seem to operate the register! The location itself is right next to Club Charlie’s…there’s a nice bar(not bar bar but more like a diner counter bar) as well as tables… and wine displayed out on the floor for purchase. I’m counting on it getting better… if it does it gives Vino 100(wine) down the street as well as Bella(coffee) around the corner some stiff competition.
