An absolute dump where the owner gets hammered and tries to yell over the microphone at everybody. Went here once. Once was too much.

It’s a bar that happens to have food, not a restaurant that happens to have a bar, so get your expectations in check. It’s a dive, but people are friendly. I always get the wings here and I’ve never been disappointed. Lots of flavor choices, and it comes out reasonably quick. A good spot before wrestling at the KOC hall just up the street.

Probably a 3.5 for me overall. My company relocated from downtown to our own building just north of here, so today was my first lunch out in the new neighborhood. Several nearby places are closed Monday so our group ended up at Paulies and were pretty happy with it. Atmosphere wise it’s your typical Stallis sports bar — nothing fancy but not a total dump either. I will say it still smells a little like cigarettes, maybe because the smokers area is right outside the door? Whatever — my boss was genuinely delighted that they were playing music videos from the 80’s and I was delighted that he was totally distracted and didn’t have to deal with work stuff. When we came in at 11:30am there was a guy at the bar in a sleeveless flannel pounding a MGD, so day drinking is definitely cool(and so are sleeveless flannels BTW). Menu wise, a standard bar and grill selection of burgers, wraps and a few salads. It also looked like they have a pizza/salad buffet thing going but we didn’t get details on that. Prices are reasonable and sandwiches come with fries or Parmesan chips(or tater tots + 1.50). I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with tots because fuck yeah tater tots, right? Well not in this case — sadly my tots tasted like old, rancid oil. The wrap on the other hand was huge and generously filled with chicken and veggies. Would order again minus the terrible tots. Service? Meh — not great, not terrible. It’s a bar in Stallis, okay? Overall — it’s close to the new office, cheap and open on Mondays. I don’t have a wealth of options so I’ll be back to watch some sweet ass Def Leppard vids and eat another wrap.

It’s a fun place to hang out with your friends. Service is slow they don’t wipe off the bar unless you ask for the bar rag and wipe it yourself. They have good food. The place is always jamming live music on the weekend.

It’s hard to be harsh on Pauli’s. It’s a great divey joint where you can grab a bite to eat before State Fairgrounds-shenanagans, and if you come in and have a couple of pints, they let you leave your car there. We stopped in both before and after a bridal expo. Before: great service, great bar food, great atmosphere. After: It was during a Packer’s game. We couldn’t get a waitress to stop by for anything, but we finally went up to the bar and snagged our brews(no one ever seemed to care). We were planning to get food, but no one ever checked on us, and when we stopped them, they said«hold on, we’ll get your waitress.» So we would have been super annoyed, but then half time came around and we got free hot dogs and chips. There was a guy(probably the owner) shouting into a microphone every time the Packers did… well…literally anything, but it was fun. Would have been more fun if the microphone was turned down just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle(I feel old typing that, but guys. It was loud.). Stop by to pre-game it before being dragged to a bridal expo — OR stop by for a Packer game for all out rowdy nonsense.

Ok I been to this location many years ago when it was Bunkers… many an enjoyable time in my youth, Bunker burgers, waffle-cut fries and reggae bands upstairs but now I come back after many years and find this place is a sports bar. Ok so I’m here for super bowl 50 and the bartender is a little too loose with the«honey» and«sweetie» and«kiddo» but whatever she is working a tip so I tolerate it and order a basic burger from their menu… after about an hour it finally arrives and is pretty good but why the hour wait? I mean yeah it’s super bowl game day but this was an hour before kickoff and the place was half full why was the grill so far behind? So I take my burger and fries and it was good so I’m not as upset that it took and hour to grill a piece of meat which should take 20 minutes top bit ok… drink specials for Super Bowl were ok, I mean Jell-O shots for either team TD was nice, and the beer specials were ok for a Sunday night but the first drink I ordered was a Bloody Mary and when it was served I asked for a standard chaser… I mean this is Wisconsin and all, but when I got the bill at the end of the night I got charged $ 1 for a chaser in addition to the bloody? First time ever the chaser was an extra charge here and I wish I knew before but whatever just go ahead and nickel and dime me for a Bloody Mary chaser… never had been charged extra before for the chaser but ok make my experience less enjoyable if you want. Just a regular 2 star review of you want to wait forever for food and get charged for a bloody chaser beer so yeah I’ll never come back thank you Paulie.

Great food, specials, fun fun fun every time I’ve been to Paulie’s! Friday Fish Fry — Check!!! They have several options. I was feeling particularity Wisconsin and opted for the beer battered cod. They make the beer batter from a seasonal beer and it’s phenomenal! You can also choose a side — potato pancakes are a solid and likely the best choice(unless you have a french fry craving). Joe R opted for a cheeseburger and loved it. Something with some blue cheese and bacon… it was gone in a minute hahaha They have great appetizers as well. I love the music they play later in the evening(the past two times it has been 90’s-2000’s pop/hip hop/fun music). Great crowd and great waitstaff. The do have a party room, patio, and dining room that is separate from the bar so you could bring kids earlier in the evening. They offer shuttles to major events like Summerfest. And it is directly across the street from State Fair Park. Overall: fun, yum, inexpensive, will be back!!!

I’m definitely a huge fan of Paulie’s. I’ve stopped in on a couple tuesdays for their burger special and I have been more than satisfied each time. Normal burgers are $ 5, specialty burgers(including the double cheeseburger) are $ 5 and fries are another buck or two. Great seasoned burgers, quality buns and real friendly service will keep me coming back for more and more. Maybe I hit the jackpot for finding them on a cheap night, but this is one of the best burgers in West Allis… if not the best.

Place is OK and convenient to the Milwaukee Mile across the street. Food is general Pub fare and average at best. Service is very good and staff remember us each year when we are in town for the Indy Car Race located in the Fairgrounds. I would recommend stopping by if attending an event Fair related.

Been sitting on the patio for about 15mins with no service. Really? And I would’ve stayed for another drink and food. Bartender and waitress had no clue. Plus waitress goes from Paulie to the Field Trip no wonder we got no service.

I went late Sunday evening with a friend of mine. I had 2 Corona Lights and my friend had two Angry Orchards on tap. Bill was $ 20. I thought that was a bit pricey at $ 5 a piece for a drink. Plus when I went for a second round it took over 5 minutes to get served. The place wasn’t busy as one bartender was busy restocking and the other was talking with patrons at the bar while counting out receipts. Both saw me but continued on with their other duties. I figured they could’ve stopped for two minutes to just get the same drinks I ordered.

Paulie’s is a cut-above the rest sort of place. Plentiful menu without going wild. Great wing selections, and great sauces. Always personable waitstaff. Great stocked bar.

Paulie’s is as comfortable as an old shoe — maybe a little smelly, but on a Saturday afternoon, there’s nothing you’d rather have under your feet. I’ve had a lot of fun in this building. I’ll never forget the time State Fair(across the street) lost power and everybody left the grounds and seemingly headed to Paulie’s.(Might have been Bunker’s — the business that occupied this space prior to Paulie; I’ll call it Paulie’s, whether it was or not.) With a dearth of electrical power, things that needed refrigeration were carted off the fair grounds. Some genius thought it a good idea to bring cases of yogurt to Paulie’s and share his rapidly warming cultured milk bounty. It was all well and good until Paulie’s patrons realized that yogurt and beer go together like Adolf Hitler and Bette Midler ice fishing. Next thing you know, drunk people were hurling yogurt everywhere. Yes, Paulie’s was the site of my first and only yogurt fight. What fun! Paulie’s is also the home of my first Double Bubble experience. Well, that may not be entirely true, but I’ve never seen anything quite like Paulie’s. We were just sitting there nursing our beer and munching some nachos when a bell rang. 9 p.m. — the start of 2−4 – 1’s for two hours! Man, the place became a buzzing hive of activity. Bartenders poured tirelessly as locals lined up 3-deep at the bar to take advantage of this great Saturday night deal. Honestly, we would’ve left at 8:55, but once we discovered we could get two Captain and Cokes for only $ 5, well heck, only a fool would leave then! Besides great specials, Paulie’s has a nice variety of draft beers and serves better than average pub food. In fact, their wings are right up there with Milwaukee’s other chicken wing luminaries. There’s a good number of TVs for checking out the game and the service is always good. Not surprisingly, however, is that there’s no yogurt on the menu. But that’s okay, West Allis is more of a frozen custard kind of town anyway. ;)

Massive, diverse menu. The portions are huge so I’d recommend sharing some entrees/appetizers if you can’t decide! I’ve only been once, but had the cheese breadstick pizza with marinara dipping sauce. Fantastic. Also had a taste of the mozzarella sticks. Freshly made, not the usual frozen kind. The meatball sandwich that a friend had looked delish. Great outdoor seating area in the summer. Our server was attentive and friendly. Kept our beer topped off!
