This is truly one of the best hole in the wall pubs in town and in Milwaukee that is an impressive feat. There are only two criteria that I use to judge a dive bar, namely cheap drinks and good service, Rascals scores on both. You cannot find cheaper beer in Milwaukee and you will (almost) always get your beer in a timely manner. I ask, does anyone need more in this beer-​swilling burg?

This is an awesome place to go for cheap drinks and a good time! On Thursday nights they have almost any shot for only $ 1! And during the day they have rail drinks and beers for $ 1! The staff is always friendly and ready to challenge you to a game of bar dice! I strongly recommend giving this place a try!

The bartender was pregnant and the bathroom smelled like a homeless man’s ass crack so I couldn’t even shoot up in the shitter stall… But they have rice crispy treats in the vending machine, which made me forget for a few minutes that I have bruises on my face and neck from prostituting out my butthole to violent sex offenders for methadone and a glimmer of happiness.

Be careful here. My friend was forcibly thrown out of the bar by the shady bouncer last night after he was attacked by a regular. My friend did not instigate anything. The officer he called that «handled» the situation even threatened to charge HIM with felony assault if he didn’t drop charges.

A true college dive bar with solid drink specials and friendly people! I wouldn’t suggest bringing a date here unless you’re on a budget and don’t mind drinking from plastic cups. Don’t enter with high expectations…

I’ve only been to Rascals a few times. That being said, a throwback to the corner bars of yesteryear. Cheap Drinks at Happy Hour, and a real cast of Character’s. But the highlight of my visit was the Bartender Kim, Attractive, Funny, Quick on serving drinks, never had to ask for another, she was very attentive, being every seat at the bar was full. Will return again, perfect after work stop.

This place is gross. You know you have entered a place that hasnt been cleaned when you get attacked by gnats in the dead of winter! The only reason ANYONE comes here is because of the dollar drinks but I would rather go down the street and pay two bucks and not getting attacked by bugs or drink beer from lines that are OBVIOUSLY NEVER cleaned. This last time I got nauseous after only half a beer. Its officially crossed off the list. Who owns this place? I would love to speak to them.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!
I get that it’s a dive bar, but even they have to serve customers. Yes they have a weekend afternoon happy hour but then have enough friendly bartenders to provide service.
After being passed over three times by the same short dark haired bartender she finally took our order. No greeting, no smile, just grunting along like she did not want to be there.
And it showed in the end result: A terrible, water-​down bloody that we were not even offered a chaser for.
We won’t ever be back!

For me Rascal’s is 5 stars for sentimental reasons (and I just love dive bars), but its definitely not for everyone. Rascal’s is the definition of a dive bar– small, dark, smelly, cheap drinks, and lots of regulars. So if you are a dive bar lover like myself then you will feel right at home here.
Drinks are super cheap– got to love their $ 1 happy hour. The bartenders are always friendly and willing to play many games of dice. The one thing I don’t like about this place is the crowd sometimes, mainly on weekend nights. It can get kind of young/​douchey, so I usually just frequent during the days or week nights.
Whenever I’m by North Ave. I always stop in to Rascal’s for a drink and a fun time.

FUCK THIS PLACE! DO NOT GO HERE! It is stinky, horrible and violent. My young family member got beaten badly, from behind, after having a little run in with the bouncer. He ended up in the hospital with severe head injuries. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHIT HOLE. THERE IS NOTHING REDEEMING ABOUT iT.

Looking for a dive bar complete with a wall full of celebrity mug shots? Then look no further than Rascals. Located in Milwaukee this dive bar reeks of Wisconsin. Only in Wisconsin will you go to a bar and see a picture of Brett Favre (I threw up a bit in my mouth) on the wall.
This place is very dark when you walk in and the bartenders just stare at you when you walk in. It’s not very hard to find a table here. The bar consists of a small dance floor, pool tables and a back deck where you can smoke. On the deck theres no place to sit but it can fit about 10 people.
I didn’t have the same experience at Katie L. did but I did have the bars famous cheap drinks. You want to know the reason why they are so cheap? It’s because the drinks aren’t correctly made. My friends had to tell the bartender how to make their drinks multiple times.
To say the least coming to Racals was an experience but I think I’ll still with the irish pubs when I drink in Wisconsin.

I rarely give bad reviews, but I have been here twice and had awful experiences each time. The clientele is overwhelmingly forward, prowling men who were never taught even half-​way decent manners. I’ve caught some stranger standing behind me playing with my hair and had a guy grab both my hands and not let them go so he could talk to me. Each time I was here me and my girlfriends felt like we had to buffer ourselves from the crowds with guys we know just to keep from getting molested. Don’t get me wrong, I love my dives, just not this one.
That said, the drinks are cheap and they have karaōke and pool. If you don’t mind some ass-​grabbing, maybe this is still the bar for you.

Best happy hour. Super cheap. Tiny, and by tiny I mean prepared to spilt on by those dumb drunk girls after 9pm. The bartenders are beotch’s. Beyond horrible. But I will give it a good four stars because I love the prices THAT much.

Rascal’s is a classic bar among many classics on North Ave (its technically on Murray, but whatever). What separates this place is its purely unabashed willingness to promote good, CHEAP drinks for happy hour.
Dollar domestic tappers and 2 dollar rails everyday attracts grad students, undergrads, alcoholics, bums, and even your fair share of moms. Definitely a mixed crowd with a heavy slant towards gritty dive during the afternoon, and more student at night.
I’ve been known to study here after classes for the day, and continuing that tradition doesn’t seem to be in danger any time soon, especially at a very student friendly price.

Rascals is truly a diamond in the rough when it comes to Milwaukee Bars. Located just off of North Avenue, east of Oakland, it has *the best* happy hour specials I have ever heard of: $ 1 beer and rails, $ 2 tall rails everyday until 9pm (except Sunday, when happy hour runs until bar close). In addition to happy hour, they offer other nightly specials such as $ 3 long islands and karaōke on Tuesday and $ 10 bottomless beers on Wednesday. If you are looking for a fun and inexpensive night out definitely check out Rascals… the best dive bar ever!

I have overlooked this bar for a few months now, I’ve been to most of the bars right around it but never felt intrigued to stop in. I’m glad I did, it was a Wednesday night and for $ 10 you got a bottomless cup. I looked up to see banners hanging from the ceiling listing all of their specials for each night. If you’re looking to go out and not spend a lot of money, you can definitely get a good buzz with cash left in wallet at the end of the night!
As for the bar itself, it’s a little small. I can see it getting pretty busy in there and not a lot of room to move. Other than that, I thought it was a fun spot, pool table in the back too. The bartenders were really upbeat and made it a fun spot to hang out at, lots of bar dice games going on.
Oh, and when you tip, they hit the wind chime as a way to thank you. Rascal’s is a fun bar just off North Avenue, make sure you stop in soon!
