This pizza is soooo good. Especially like the crust, has a nice crisp edge and not loaded with sugar like places do now a days. They put a good amount of toppings on the pie using fresh veggies. I usually get the chicken topping, seems like mostly white meat.

Pizza was great! The garlic cheesy bread was delicious as well. I found a new favorite pizza place.

I ordered a pizza and got soup. A big pile of pizza soup. I am surprised people delivery drive for a them considering that the interior of their car would be destroyed from grease splashing.

This is definitely our go-to pizza place, and not just because it’s right in our neighborhood. Great pizza, especially Andrew’s Buffalo Chicken. We also love the Cheesy Garlic Sticks and Hoagies. Delivery or pickup is usually quick, and they always give you coupons for next time.

Never again. This was by far the worst pizza I’ve ever had. It was so incredibly greasy that all I ate was the crust. There’s a review from a couple months ago that states the center of the pizza was basically caved in, and that’s absolutely accurate. I spent $ 20 on this pizza and it was nowhere near the quality I expected for the price. I will not be coming here again.

One and done. This is the first and will be my last time eating from here. First off, 25 minutes turned into 45 minutes for my pizza to be done. And then when I got home to dive in, 75% of the pizza was soggy from the grease. I could only eat the outer crust.

We had a gathering at Estabrook Beer Garden last night, and had 5 pizzas delivered to us. The guy on the phone was really helpful when I ordered, and the delivery guy was great too. He even helped us carry all of our stuff from the car to the tables :) Pizza was great(we did the hand tossed gourmet pizzas) and everyone liked it. I’d definitely order from Upper Crust again!

Had the deluxe pizza, delivered; Middle soggy, toppings and sauce lacked flavor, parts of top burned. Will not order from here again.

I’ve been here a few times. I’ve heard great things from several people so I always would give this place the benefit of the doubt. Sadly after 3 tries I’ d have to say I’m done here. The pizzas are kinda pricey(which is ok.) but for what I paid for them I was very unsatisfied. Today I went in there again, and ordered something completely different. Hoping for a redemption. Nope. My sandwich was sub par and the chicken tenders were also unpleasant. I also ordered a dressing w/my chicken tenders, which I did not get. 4th strike. Unimpressed and disappointed. Never going back.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. Upper Crust has two major flaws that I think any patron would find difficult to over look. Very poor customer service and inconsistent food quality/preparation. Being a working professional, I have limited time to prepare meals throughout the week and often look to order out. Upper Crust has delivered to my house on five occasions and out of those five occasions, only one was acceptable. On two occasions, they forgot the pepperoni on their Pepperoni Plus pizza. TWOTIMESIN A ROW! Despite this, I decided to give them another try. On my last attempt to order from Upper Crust, it was decided that I would never give them another cent. I experienced possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced over the phone. The customer service associate was short, rude, disinterested in talking to me and had a very condescending tone. I pointed this out to the gentlemen on the phone and he became angry and confrontational with me. When I asked to speak to his manager, he simply hung up on me. I attempted to call a few more times after this and was hung up on each time. My assumption was that the gentlemen was trying to avoid me talking to his manager. That was the point I decided to never buy from Upper Crust again. Which lead me to discover another pizza joint far more worthy of my coin, Vedo’s Pizza. I have since ordered at least a dozen pizzas from Vedo’s and have never been disappointed. Great service, better pizza and most importantly CONSISTENCY!

I’ve gotten grub from this place twice now, and both times it was no disappointment. I’ve only had the hand-tossed pizza, which is a quality, crisp-chewy crust pizza that tastes homemade, not grease covered and commercial. Big salads. Standard, but well prepared, appetizers. The only better crust I’ve had in town is Classic Slice, but there’s a few spots I need to hit before I crown a pizza sensei of Milwaukee. Upper crust is totally good stuff. When I got delivery it was prompt and hot. Not as cheap as some of the better known pizza joints about town, but still a lesser-known spot worth trying.

It’s pretty hard for me to be wowed by pizza, but upper crust is pretty darn good. We ordered two pepperoni pizzas and two salads… Upper crust isn’t the cheapest pizza, but the size and amount of ingredients is reminiscent of what pizza use to be. I ordered hand tossed(usually a thin crust guy) and this is one of the few times where I had two slices and was full. The toppings are generous and it was delivered steaming hot. Not sure what type of ovens they use, but the crust was a little charred and crispy, just the way I like it. We also had two salads, a chef and greek. The salads are also very large and could feed two easily. My Greek salad was really nice, there was a very generous amount of feta and ingredients in both salads were very fresh. I’ve ordered from some of the other more well known pizza joints in the Shorewood area, but think I’ve found my regular go to pizza place tonight.

We have ordered pizza from here quite a bit over the years. Generally good(not great). Tonight it wasn’t. We ordered a large pizza, double cheese on the whole thing, pepperoni on half. Somehow, they forgot to put any cheese on half the pizza — just bread and sauce. Not very concerned when we called, either.

I was excited to try this place. It has good reviews, good prices, and overall looks to be the kind of place I would revisit. When we called in to use my Living Social coupon they informed us that it had already been used — on a date that we were out of town! With previous groupon/living social experiences, we usually notice that the merchant will staple the voucher to the order receipt and keep a record. When we asked if they could look up the transaction they said they could not. I believe the exact response was«so you want me to go through every single order we have ever taken to find yours?» The staff we spoke to were rude, overly sarcastic, and treated us like scammers. It is unfortunate because I’m not generally the type to complain. My demeanor with them was overly polite… there was no yelling or anger in my communication that would cause such a negative response. After contacting Living Social their response was that the merchant claims to diligently check ID and Voucher number and refused to admit that they could have crossed off the wrong name, or messed up. Why would I go to such great lengths as contacting Living Social if this was not a legit claim? Arrogance, rudeness, and general distrust of your own customers are not qualities I would want my establishment associated with. With Groupon and Living Social deals I always make sure to tip over 20% on the full amount to make up for the people giving these deals a bad name. Upper Crust has not only soured my personal experience with them, but I am now actively telling others how awful they made me feel. All I did was buy a coupon and attempt to use it. If they decide to do a groupon or similar deal in the future — I hope they will keep better records of their transactions. I’m very disappointed because it looks like I would have enjoyed some good food.

Keep in mind that each type of pizza(hand-tossed, deep dish, thin crust, stuffed) is its own food group and you can’t compare them. That being said, Upper Crust is my barometer for all hand-tossed pizza; ever since I went Upper Crust I’ve been saying«What Hut?» The crust is chew and flavorful, the sauce the right amount, with great pepperoni and sausage. If you’re a cheese or garlic lover, go with the Cheese Bread, you won’t be disappointed.

Trying to figure out this places’ niche… I jumped at it like I thought I should with no menu, called and ordered a meat-lovers for delivery with high expectations. Pizza delivered; but, the center of the crust was extremely soft and I was frustrated with what I received. It wasn’t undercooked, but realizing the four meat grease was the most likely culprit, finished the first slice, and threw the box in the fridge. I told myself to relax and that we(proverbial) were going to work with it, since Unilocal!reviews led me to believe this pie was something special. Please mind the alternate definitions of the word special(I’m thinking of the bricks of ham placed on the pizza). I lovingly toaster-ovened the slices for the rest of the week with mixed reviews that were not necessarily time-dependent. It went from love at second bite, to confusion as to why it felt so right, to getting downright dirty with it, and then the ounce of regret following an entire week of eating leftover za. Once smitten, forever smitten. My toaster oven is now a total mess; however, my stomach felt damn fine and still think this place still has potential. Next time I will order a less-gratuitus za and more likely be impressed.

This place seemed to fall off the map for a bit, but it looks to be growing at a rapid pace now. Their pizzas are great and they’ve got some real good options aside from the usual sausage and pepperoni. I’m a fan of the Garden Harvest pizza. They recently added a real thin crust to the selection. It should be interesting to see what they do with it in the future. Aside from pizza, Upper Crust has the usual appetizers, salads, pastas and sandwiches. They’ve got two kinds of Philly cheese steak sandwiches. An «East Coast» that is pretty typical, but their«Italian Style Philly» is a really neat twist on an old favorite. They pretty much stick with carry out and delivery. Times are usually quick, but plan on a few extra minutes nights and weekends during peak hours. Their staff is always friendly. Sometimes a little rushed, but they get things done as fast as possible. As long as you give them ample notice, food is always hot and ready when you want it. Definitely worth checking out. And definitely better than any franchise pizza place.
