I WISH I could support this local business.
Yea, they are pricey — but it is their RUDE JUDGMENTAL attitude that insures I will spend my money at places like Anthropologie before I will step foot into this place again.

I found this place to be AOK.
I get it, retail is tough this day in age. Selection and pricing online makes it tough on retailers. Milwaukee’s not necessarily replete with independent clothiers, boutiques, etc., either… so I want to love the ones we do have, hard. I don’t do a ton of shopping at these boutiques, and I really should do more.
That said, my experience at Urban Laundry was a little… weird. It was fine. Firstly, I didn’t find many items I coveted right out the gate. (Maybe UL’s just not so much my style? And that’s okay! It might be yours.)
Secondly, I found the salesperson to be a touch off putting/​somewhat intense. I think she meant well, though. I just felt really awkward while there.
The space is lovely, bright, clean and open, and the whole shebang is conveniently located in the ‘Tosa Village.
I recommend you check this place out for yourself if you’re looking for boutique shopping in ‘Tosa/​the MKE metro area in general. This spot might be more your speed than mine, though I did find it all to be cute and charming and a solid addition to the area. Check it out!

Really cute store and clothes — I’ve enjoyed shopping there in the past. BUT… after receiving a necklace from my husband for Christmas that I didn’t really like so I returned it (with a receipt, the tag still on and still in the gift box)…to put it mildly, it was not a pleasant experience to get the store credit. The sales person was so rude and acted like I was asking for $ 50 out of her own wallet! I will (obviously) be back if only to spend the store credit, but I would caution anyone who is going there to buy a gift.

Pricey but who isn’t? They have great sales and the owner and sales lady Jane are wonderful and fun. Great selection of clothes and accessories.

I am fortunate Urban Laundry is down the street from me. This is a great boutique with a wide selection of high end labels. They have sales often. Right now they have 75% off on certain items. It is a good time to pick up some winter clothes. This store is not for everyone. If you expect wal mart prices and products, move along. Will definitely continue to support this local business.

Holy moley! I know that I’m a guy, but on my mother’s account, Urban Laundry has everything! Cookie Johnson jeans, which fit like a dream (so I’ve heard), a great dress selection, and stocked jewelry boards! A trip to the Wauwatosa village is always a gas, as it has everything. Good food and great boutiques. All ages seem to be welcome to Urban Laundry, they have so much stuff, you could shop for hours! Bubbly sales attendants will help you look fabulous! (plus they know the area like the back of their hand)! Don’t be frightened by the mannequin out front! She only wants to introduce you to (multiple) handfuls of clothing! Ladies, brace yourselves. If I was a woman, I would be constantly broke…

This is a great local boutique, with lots of fun clothing options — though some pricier than others — and TONS of cute jewelry and other accessories.
The location is not as small as other reviewers have claimed, I think they do a fine job of showcasing all the items and letting shoppers hunt around the store for various treasures. The dressing rooms are a little snug, but fine for their purpose.
The sales staff can be a little pushy or just overly enthusiastic, but they’re always nice.
And did I mention the jewelry? It’s all so cute! Cute bags and scarves too.

There are SO many great boutiques to shop now in the Milwaukee area and I would suggest going to ANY other one than here. The clothes are OVERPRICED and there are very few discounts. There return policy sounds good, unless you actually try to use it and the salespeople are PUSHY! Go to the third ward or Brookfield for better merchandise and lower prices!

Has cute fashionable clothes, but I felt I was at Forever 21 with so many clothes packed into a rack until I looked at the price tags; these clothes are EXPENSIVE!
