I was driving past this place when I saw a sign that said grand opening so I quickly maneuvered the car to get on track to get over to them. They are in a strip mall and I don’t know how I even seen them at all. I though I went to a phở place here many years ago under a different name and interior. I really liked the the interior because I felt like I was in another part of the world in a tropical climate. The place looks like a recent remodel that’s fresh and clean looking. There is dark tile floors and murals on two walls and the ceiling, see the cool ceiling picture. The wood tables and chairs were two tone brown and just fit very well with the décor. I really liked that they had a vision and spent the money and didn’t just slap it together like places do. The two huge flat screens on the wall was the only thing that looked out of character because it’s not a sports bar. The menu was a great quality one and they spent the extra money once again when they could have had cheaper ones, I’m really liking what I’m seeing here. The menu is huge and it took me at least 10 minute to pick something because it all looked good. I had the R13 Hot rice pot Vietnamese style rice cooked in a clay pot. It is chicken, beef, shrimp, squid, and mushrooms. It is served on a bed of rice and has raw onion, green onion, seaweed, cilantro, broccoli, baby corn, carrot and celery in a tasty seafood flavored like gravy. I was informed that the style of rice that it comes with is not available now and I would have to choose a different style, like I would know the difference because I have never had this dish so I chose fried rice. More problems because there was no squid or mushrooms in my bowl like listed but half cut scallops were added which I prefer any way, see the pictures. It hit my table boiling, bubbling and steaming which makes for a great presentation and smelled killer. It looked really good but it was too hot to eat so I would be tortured by it until it cooled a little. This was very tasty and had sweet Asian flavors with ginger and cilantro playing very well, it all worked so well together. There was enough meat and seafood in my pot to balance the rice and vegetables. I really enjoyed this dish and its the best thing I have had lately. I had no issues with the service and I had two young women tag teaming me from start to finish. The real cloth napkins are a nice touch. Overall I had a great experience and a great meal form just stopping for a grand opening banner. Yah the food didn’t exactly match there menu but it was very tasty and has no bearing in the rating and it is only mentioned for information only. Two thumbs up and I would definitely go back. PS the shrimp has the tails left on.

Ordered egg rolls for apps. Nothing spectacular. My husband ordered Pad Thai. That was amazing. I order Vegetarian curry. The curry had an amazing flavor. Service was nice. Good place to eat with kids.

First and last Time going here. Food & service is terrible. We received old used silverware. When we complained they just said«oops» and gave us new ones. We did get any water until we asked the waitress for a glass of water. Tables were sticky and bottles of sauces were layered with gunk. Never returning. Price for food is way too high for such horrible quality.

During my trip out to Wisconsin, I had Vietnamese food several times with my friend. My friend who moved out to Wisconsin is Vietnamese yet doesn’t go often so I wanted to make sure she got her fix while I was visiting. Vietnamese Noodles was one of the places we tried and the best one out of the few we went to(the other place we went to was Phở Hai Tuyet). The service was good here, they have a large menu including many traditional items, and most importantly, their Bun(Vermicelli Rice Noodle Bowl) was pretty darn good. Both of us had Bun(she had the combination and I had Shrimp/Pork) and it was approved with a thumbs up by two Bay Area natives(we are spoiled with Vietnamese food in the South Bay) with one of us being full blooded Vietnamese. Definitely a good spot to check out in the Milwaukee area if you’re in the mood for Vietnamese food.

«GRANDOPENING… A Year Ago…» They’ve been open a year, our waitress told us, but they have a huge Grand Opening banner hanging over their front door. It must be like a wedding, where you’re still allowed to give a gift to the happy couple up to a year after the actual wedding date. Being vegan and vegetarian, we were reasonably certain we’d be able to eat here although we’d never been here before. We usually have good luck with Asian cuisines. They had a huge book of a menu, another good sign that we’d have a decent selection of vegan/vegetarian entrees. We paged through the book, page after page after page, and my boyfriend voiced concern, «It doesn’t look like they have anything…» It was all meat and fish and eggs. I said, «They probably have the vegetarian things at the back.» And sure enough, 1 page of a handful of items, almost all containing eggs. There was one vegan curry dish, so that’s what I ordered. My boyfriend said as we waited, «We won’t be coming here again.» But then the food came and it was good. I was surprised to find peas and potatoes in my dish, since I usually order Thai and I think that’s in one staple dish of that cuisine that I never order because it just seems weird to me have peas and potatoes in an Asian dish, I don’t know why. I guess I’m just not used to it. But peas and potatoes must be in a Vietnamese dish and I was pleasantly surprised! This had a good flavor and the sauce was thick, not watery and not oily like you get in some places. They didn’t ask how hot you wanted your entrée, so mine was not hot at all. I spiced it up with some of the sauces provided on the table. My boyfriend ordered the Pad Thai and he said it was also good, he gave it a B grade. Mine, too, was a B. At the end of the meal, I asked for my leftover to be wrapped to go and the waitress said ok and walked away from the table, I assume to go get a box for me so I could wrap up my meal myself. But I noticed a man behind her(maybe the owner) gesture to her and say something like, «Go back and get it.» Which she did. Then later she came out of the kitchen with my meal wrapped for me. I wondered if she was new to waitressing, or new to this restaurant, or if the restaurant was so new they hadn’t decided on a policy yet, so I asked the waitress how long the restaurant had been open and she said one year. Anyway, while the place was clean and nicely decorated and the food decent for sure, we probably won’t come back because of the limited selection of vegan/vegetarian items. But if you’re not vegan/veg, then I say give it a try!

Surprisingly good! It’s relatively new and is well decorated, spacious and bright inside. very impressed by the menu and variety of food they offered. Ordered p1, and Korean short rib, tasted good. Will go back for sure.

New starts(Grand Opening) for restaurants are always hard. Vietnamese food, partially because of its healthy qualities(along with Thai and other Southeast Asian cuisine), has become very popular in the U.S. in general, and in Milwaukee specifically. The waitstaff is attentive, the interior is clean and colorful, the menu is extensive, and the location on 27th is accessible. What’s not to like? Our first experience is that the cook needs to be sensitized to American expectations/tastes. My view is that this cook may know Vietnamese cuisine well, but someone has to help him/her with certain issues. For example, his Phở Ga(chicken soup), which both the waitress and manager had a hard time finding on the menu, but is a great favorite of mine, had great broth, but chopped hunks of chicken leg with the fatty yellow skin and bone still in place. That may add flavor from a Vietnamese standpoint, but it’s impractical and offensive to American tastes Using chopsticks it can only be maneuvered by chewing around on it and spitting the skin and bone out(a common practice in many Asian countries). The Chicken Fried Rice was bland and the Spring Rolls used greens that were bitter and unpleasant. Considering that the prices are on the higher end for Vietnamese restaurants, the owner may want to avoid going out of business as did the previous Vietnamese restaurant in the same location by consulting with other American cooks. They may help the owner salvage the best of Vietnamese Cuisine while still appealing to American sensibilities and refinement.
