I love this place beyond belief. Last year I was hit by a car on my 1959 cruiser, and of course the frame was bent. I was really attached to this bike though and I wasn’t ready to give it up. A bent frame is pretty much impossible to fix. I took it into many bike stores, all of whom either said they wouldn’t try or said they would charge me for what probably wouldn’t work. But I took it into Vulture Space and not only were they willing to try and fix the bike, but they did! And they didn’t even charge (despite donations, of course). The people were so friendly and willing to help with anything. This is how I picture a bike shop, a place that actually wants to put people on bikes and not just make money, I’m still riding my bike today, and it’s only because of Vulture Space.

This is the most amazing bike shop ever! I was in the market for a bicycle and purchased a vintage Schwinn cruiser (in perfect condition) for only $ 180. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Plus, if your bike has any issues, they’ll teach you to repair yourself. This is definitely the place to go if you’re shopping for a bike.

Vulture Space is a bike collective and nonprofit where you can come in and repair your bike. They provide the tools and stand, and you do the fixes yourself. They have tons of new and used bike part that are donated to the shop.
When I went in, I got a new front rim and switched off my old tire and tube to put on the new one. I ended up adjusting the brakes too with a little help from the volunteers who were there. Great place and great people… definitely coming back!

I was walking to the Grand when I passed this storefront, I stopped because I am looking to buy a bike and my curiosity got the best of me. When I walked in they were people fixing their bike’s, saw a couple of kids were painting their bicycle frame. I checked out a couple of refurbished bikes they had for sale. From what I got it’s a bicycle collective and you can repair your bike for free. They take bike donations– its a really cool concept, I will be going back. And its FREE!!!
