Chinese-American fast food sizzles, snaps and flares up in the kitchen. You hear the metal on metal of the wok over a super hot flame and then before you know it, the food flies out of the kitchen to you. This was my experience at Wok to Go, which is mostly treated as a take-out restaurant, however, if you feel like you want to eat-in, they have a very large, clean dining room. When you decide to eat-in, you eat out of the to-go containers and are given the weakest, bendiest plastic ware. The food was very heavy and a little greasy but it tastes pretty good. I have to say, that I left very full. The fried rice is yellow, and I have noticed many Chinese restaurants in Milwaukee with that yellow color of rice, which I think is, Chicken soup base or some other type of flavoring. The fried rice was a little greasy and not too flavorful. The spring roll filling, which contained large shreds of cabbage, was a little too crunchy for me and needed more cooking. The sesame chicken with plain, steamed rice, is my favorite ensemble at Wok to Go.

Wow! How refreshing it is to have an awesome Chinese meal! Upon walking in the place is plain but very clean. We ordered sweet & sour chicken, beef w/broccoli, and chicken fried rice. I expected dull flavors on the beef but that was So Not the case! It was very flavorful! We ordered a large Sweet an sour chicken an it came with a large white rice.(other places skimp an only give 1cup of white rice). The portion on the large size is very generous. This is now my number one fav Chinese restaurant!

Update: Our 3rd visit. Every dish has been super. Today was Dragon Phoenix(Chicken, shrimp, veggies, in white sauce plus crispy chicken in sesame sauce) and Kung Pao Double Delight(Chicken, shrimp, corn, water chest, grn. pepper, & bok choy in brwn sauce plus peanuts) for $ 8.25. Great BIG shrimp. An oxymoron? Very plain interior with the togo orders usually waiting in 10 minutes. We have eaten more Chinese since this place opened a few months ago than in the 10 years before. The flavors are closer to Thai, I think. I’m no asian expert. But this is the best chinese in milwaukee for our tastes. It adds spice to our marriage without any of the drawbacks you might get from other methods :)
