The triple decker Reuben sandwich is outstanding. Fries were fresh cut and hot. Definitely worth a return visit.

Holy mother of God!!! This has to be the best breakfast I’ve ever had in my entire life! From homemade gravy that is absolutely to die for to fantastic service. This place is a must. The chicken fried steak was superb and the pork chops cooked to perfection. We will be back the next time we visit Oregon for more!

Breakfast is great! I had the prime rib special on a Sunday morning. If that is what they serve on Friday and Saturday nights… it is great. Good portions and friendly wait staff. I will definitely be back!

I love this place. Everyone that works here is so nice. The owner is charming, the food is incredible, the prices are excellent, and the view of the river is lovely. My two favorite dishes are the gyro and the chicken fried steak. The gravy on the latter is the best I’ve ever had. Full stop. When I came here for lunch a couple of weeks ago, I realized, after finishing my yummy gyro, that I had forgotten my card. I was mortified. But the waiter couldn’t have been more accommodating or understanding, and simply put my ticket up on the shelf and said it would be there whenever I had a chance to come back. Don’t miss out on this local gem!

This place is awesome. Good cooking, good people. I love the awesome old school motif, and my favorite thing about this place is the mis– matching mugs. :) Great prices and healthy portions, a definite small diner feel.

This is the cutest little diner ever! I was on my way to the Portland Aquarium and saw this place on Unilocal.I’m so glad I did. My husband and I came here on a Tuesday around 9:00am. They were not very busy so it was a perfect time. I ordered the Number 4 with a Waffle and my husband got the Chicken Fried Steak. My meal was great and I loved the Waffle, especially with the strawberries and cream on it, but man that Chicken Fried Steak and sauce were amazing! I wish I could have just bought the sauce to take home. The staff here are so sweet and they seem to have a lot of regulars that they know by name. They have their own parking lot and the prices are very decent, about $ 10 a person.

Had biscuits and gravy and eggs. The gravy was a little different but it was not bad. The service was awesome! Wish I had room for the yummy looking pies they had in the case :)

My mom and I have been driving by the last few weeks they have a big sign out saying $ 14.99 prime rib dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. We keep saying we gonna do it. So glad we did it was delicious and let me tell you it’s no small piece. Has all the trimmings. The clam chowder pretty yummy too. its very old school café style so the inside nor the outside are up scale but yet a hole in the wall. It’s clean and great food. Staff are great very attentive. Desserts are home made. I gave it five stars for what it is just keep in mind it’s not a dress up first date try to impress kind of place. Just great food and great staff.

Happened to be in the neighborhood and hungry for breakfast. I just didn’t feel I got the same warm and sunny treatment that I saw others getting, like a greeting, and«sit wherever wou want». I said hello and asked if I could sit at a particular table which was cold so I moved. I noticed that another couple had lemon in their ice water and mine didn’t. I guess I wasn’t in the best mood. I thought the food was overpriced. It was just OK greasy diner food but the prices were too high for the run down unkempt shabbiness of the place. Then the bill came and there was a mistake on the addition, crossed out, and still added up wrong. It bothered me. I crossed it out again and jotted down the right amount in pencil. Then, they short changed me. They cannot do simple math here. The place is low brow. Enough said.

We usually go into Grandma’s for breakfast. Friday night PrimeRib called us to make a special trip here. On Friday nights, they serve prime rib from about 4:30 till closing at 8:00 pm. What a fantastic meal. The salads are big and fresh, the calm chowder is full of clams, and the protein is to die for. Whoever made the horseradish sauce should get a commendation for it. Fresh, mild yet perfect!

Headed to Gramma’s Corner on a Sunday morning, in search of a tasty biscuit and gravy breakfast without too much hipster snootiness, and got more than we hoped. The atmosphere is super homey(from the staff to the décor). If you’re looking for high-end coffee and specialty artisan this or that, this isn’t going to be your place. But if you’re looking for a delicious, hearty meal, served to you by a warm and inviting staff, head down! I would recommend the Corned Beef Hash, if you’re up for trying a less«Hormel» approach to the dish. Real chunks of corned beef, peppers, onions… super good! Biscuits and Gravy wise, I loved the biscuits! Light and fluffy! The gravy was not a traditional southern flavor, so I was a little taken aback by a savory herbal element I wasn’t expecting at first, but nevertheless enjoyed it. We’ll definitely be back!

From the lace curtains to the older waitstaff to the kitschy knick knacks on display, this really does make you feel like you’re at grandma’s house. The food is classic American diner fare, with delicious waffles and thick cut bacon. Coffee is served in a variety of unique mugs. The atmosphere is laid back, pretty good place to bring kids, and if you bring a furry friend you can eat with them outside on the front patio.

As a former long-time denizen of 97-to the 222 zip code, I can readily confirm that Grammy was one seriously slatternly lil’ fox back in her day, I’ll tell you what. She’d help you kick yer boots off and rub your sore feet and feed you meals that stuck to your ribs, and then just like the brazen little hussy she truly was, she’d tell you naughty jokes just before she’d whisper sweet nothings in your ear, then pick your pocket no sooner than she’d just promised she would curl yer toes. These days all it takes is one of her outlandishly-sized chicken fried steaks to render you obtunded and defenseless. Then she’ll cozy on up to you— under your defenses, as it were— and then that liberal doxy, that unrepentant minx will begin to drain you dry— in tiny increments, mind you, one down-homey, old-timey meal at a time, at ridiculously reasonable rates. Death by 1,000 cuts? Fie! This is bite-sized gustatory nirvana. Detachment, at last. Damn, you grammy! How can I even pretend to be mad? You might be a tart little trollop, but you are truly a tart little trollop w/a heart of gold and unbelievable culinary skillz. It’s not that you’re promiscuous per se, just that you gots just so doggone much good lovin’ to share w/the world, word. Shine on, girl.

What a pleasant treat. Didn’t know what to expect when we walked in. The décor is lacking a little bit but it’s suppose to give you the homestyle feel. Service was wonderful, everyone working was happy to be there and seemed very proud of what they were serving. The food is your average homestyle breakfast fare but they made it with perfection. My eggs were done perfectly can’t complain at all. His country fried steak was the most fork tender fried steak I’ve ever tried. I am not a big fan of country gravy but their stretch made gravy changed my mind, it was scrumptious. Only thing is that our food took a little longer then I am use to.

Great breakfast spot. The potions are a decent size. I personally like the biscuits and gravy. The vibe is very much that of Grammas kitchen. The staff is friendly and it’s usually busy on the weekends. Go grab some grub on the weekend and hit the farmers market in the parking lot next to it!

Not a bad little greasy spoon in downtown Milwaukie. I was angry when we first stumbled in because I was very hungry and«Gramma» though kindly, stated that she would not estimate our wait time for a table – always irksome to me to get no answer to this most standard of all questions. Then she said, she doesn’t «push people out.» as though I would ever ask Gramma to do that! Well, like I said, I was hungry and irritable. Gramma meant no harm. I can admit it. Sometimes I’m too sensitive. Or so I’ve been told. The coffee was amazing, fresh, not bitter. Corned beef hash used fresh beef, not canned. Promised and delivered. However, I wish they were a little more browned. Food portions were enough to feed two people per plate. Eggs were soft, delicate and fine. Hashed browns were crisp, with a soft, downy interior. Pancakes were so-so, but beautiful to look at and the size of hubcaps on Hummers. The ones with those fancy gold rims. Not the regular ones. Sorry Gramma. Sorry I came in irritable. I’m bad at waiting. I’m bad at not knowing what to expect, especially with food. It’s hard. It’s hard for me. I need to take more deep breaths. I need to get into my inner«breakfast space.» I’ll work on it.

Grammas was pretty solid. It’s not my favorite. They seem to be growing at a rate that surprises them and therefore they kinda don’t know what to do w the excess. We waited prob 20 min for a table but everyone was so nice and we just hung out outside and watched everyone else’s food. A good food preview. A guy said we needed to try the gravy so I got biscuits and gravy w hash browns and eggs and sausage I think. I also had an OJ. The oj was watery and the cup or juice tasted weird like too watery or not enough sweetness or something. Also the sausage gravy or the biscuits tasted musty somehow like laundry in the washer too long. Moldy bread, a weird herb, something in the gravy? I don’t know. It was not a huge pervasive taste but between my two items I wasn’t wowed. What did wow me was the kindness of the staff. It’s a homey, cozy place with regulars and a tight knit group. You could tell the workers were a close team. I only wish they’d been more prepared for the Saturday morning rush. I also sampled whatever my boyfriend had and it was savory and hashy and omelettey. I think he had a Denver omelette. His didn’t taste weird. We agreed the oj was weird. Sweet spot, needs a little work.
