Northwest Primary Care-Dwyer Clinic

I just called to make an appointment for a routine physical exam at this practice where I’ve been a patient for the last 10 years. The scheduler, clearly reading off a script, informed me that the doctor «will not have time to address any acute or chronic health problems at this visit, but I can schedule an appointment at another time to address any other concerns». Really?! Isn’t the point of seeing a doctor to address any health concerns? I see you trying to continue to turn the ridiculous profit margin you have enjoyed lo these many years. I liked Dr. Zhang’s forthrightness at first, but she has become dismissive. I am in the health field myself and know what I’m talking about. I went in once concerned I might be having a recurrence of shingles. She told me I was too young to have shingles, and I pointed out that SHE diagnosed me with it, correctly, five years prior! More recently, I went in for an orthopedic complaint. I’m a PT and had a pretty good idea of what was going on – which is not a common injury. She completely dismissed my observations and absolutely refused to listen to what I was saying, going to so far as to fetch a textbook with anatomy plates to explain what I was (not) experiencing. It didn’t really matter what she thought in the end, so I let it go to get my referral to PT – and the PT, who has 30 years experience, agreed 100% with me, as did a friend who is a Rolfer. We addressed the problem according to my symptoms and it improved, whereas the treatment for what Dr. Zhang thought was happening would absolutely have made things worse. I have had good experiences at other NWPC clinics and am thinking of switching there or to another practice altogether.
I must also say that the office staff at this location are lovely and easy to work with, and the phlebotomist does a great job – they usually don’t want to listen to me that I’m a hard stick and they need to use a butterfly, but this woman DOES listen and as a result I have easy blood draws in one stick from her. It is also easy to get in for an appt same day or next day at one or another of the NWPC offices, even if I can’t see Dr. Zhang (which, honestly, I’m fine with).

Dr. Zhang is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. She interrupted me, accused me, and was utterly rude. My appointment lasted less than 5 minutes, and she talked at me for four and half. I couldn’t get a word out. I’m completely traumatized from this experience.

I’ve been a patient with NW Primary care for years. I called to schedule a regular physical Tina refused to schedule the appointment unless I gave my insurance info now which I explained I left at home keep in mind I’ve always paid, and have had insurance. I explained I would call or email the information to her tonight or tomorrow. That wasn’t good enough, I had to set up an appointment (pay cash) $ 190.00. Very rude customer service, I will find a new Dr. soon.

First. This Sure care cash pay thing was a huge scam. They show you the prices you will get charged from the lab but also tell you the prices change without their knowledge to protect their butts. My lab bills were over a thousand dollars when they said it would be 400. Thats nothing.
Dr. Guillegos raised my cynthroid meds because my thyroid was too low. After checking my blood again he found he had raised them too high. No big deal, just lower it half right? No. He lowers me back to where they were originally when it was too low. I called and ask if this was the best idea since we know it was too low in the first place. They wouldnt listen and they fired me!!! Northwest Primary will not deal with me at all. No getting my side of the story, no apology, no explanation, no review of their quack doctor. Nothing. Now I am out 1500 bucks and have to find a new doctor. These people discriminate. They make no money from us uninsureds and dont want us. If you have insurance? Trust me, you are getting unecessary testing and charges. Save your money and find an actual medical doc that cares and can swallow their pride when they are so obviously wrong.
