Seven of us recently went for my husband’s birthday. It was terribly overpriced for the food we got. We were crammed into the back room which was so full the waitress could only access one end of our table and we had to pass hot dished down for her. Meanwhile, the remainder of the restaurant was empty. We will not be back anytime soon.

This place was recommended to us by a local as the best place in the valley. Perhaps because of this very high expectation that weren’t quite met, we were actually disappointed. Perhaps we are just Bay Area snobs that have been to Italy too many times. The good: — friendly service — generous portions The I had better: — cuisine is Italian, but everything tasted a bit strange. I asked the waitress and she claims that all recipes are handed down from previous generations. Well, my take is that something definitely got lost here, mamma mia. — Prices are high for a NV wanna be Italian place. The funny: — when I pointed out the marsala sauce was not identifiable as such, waitress admitted that they are not trying to be a Michelin rated restaurant. I drank to that. Overall not a bad place as long as your taste palates have never been teased with actual Italian cuisine.

My Wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner and loved this restaurant. I ordered oysters in the half shell and the Cioppino. I was in heaven! Everything tasted fresh and the Cioppino had some spice to it that was amazing! The portions are huge and I even had to take some home which is unusual for me. My wife ordered the Prosciutto wrapped prawns as an appetizer and I honestly can say they were the best I have ever tasted. The staff was fantastic! Very friendly and always available. When I got the bill I was really surprised, for the amount of food/drinks and dessert’s we ordered I was expecting at least $ 200, our bill was just over $ 100. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, the best food in the valley hands down! We will be regular customers.

Wonderful ambiance and fantastic food. Great wine menu. Can’t go wrong with anything you order, it’s a all very very good. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the valley. Prices are fine, wait staff very friendly, make you feel welcome. Never had a bad deal there and can’t compliment them enough. If you’re going to a summer concert at TJ’s Corral, this is an excellent before or after stop, and you can walk. Doesn’t get much better, unless you happen to run into Oppie, who drops in now and then. Love the place.

First time in this area of Tahoe and front desk at hotel recommended this Italian restaurant. Our dinner was edible but I probably won’t be back. Service was great! Dinner comes with soup or salad. I paid extra $ 2.50 to get Caesar salad which I regret because it was drenched with their home made dressing and inedible towards the end. Croutons & Dressing was good though. My husband got minestrone soup which was good. I got clam & linguine in white wine garlic sauce.($ 26.99) Sounds good right? But pasta was over cooked & sauce has almost no flavor. I wanted something with a lighter sauce but this sauce/broth had a very mild flavor and not much garlic taste. I added pepper & salt which I almost never do. My husband got beef Bolognese pasta($ 14.99). Again pasta was overcooked. Sauce was just okay. Kids got spaghetti & meatball($ 6.99) which was also average. The reason I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 is because crème brule desert($ 7.50) was very good and that sweet memory bumped them up a notch.

Excellent Italian restaurant. You have to try the Cioppino if it is available. A bit too spicy the 1st time we had it, and PERFECT the next. Try dining in the bar for a wonderful casual dining experience. Service was excellent and they made my bloody mary spicy just like I asked for!

I have driven by this place every tim we are in town. So I stopped. I had the pork chop. Huge! Veggies and roasted red potatoes. Very good and very hot! Couldn’t eat it all. The waitress was very accommodating to my allergy needs. Thanks Amanda! It will be a return visit. I sat in the bar. Full menu. My dinner was $ 24.00. It was very good!

The salmon was so buttery and divine here that I was tempted to order a whole nother order of it to go. I would have to — if I hadn’t temporarily misplaced my credit card while in Saletti’s. Saletti’s was absolutely lovely. The service was prompt and personable and both of our dishes were exceptional. The vegetables which accompanied my glazed salmon had pronounced flavor and the rice pilaf was light and exploding with flavor. Saletti’s is a traditional eatery with old school charm. It’s casual, yet still possesses a special occasion vibe to it — that makes it perfect for a delicious meal with a loved one or with a bigger group. Family owned and operated by John & Faith Saletti, it was originally opened in Lompoc, CA in 1997. In 2006, they sold their Lompoc restaurant and moved to the Carson Valley. In 2007, John and Faith opened Saletti’s in Minden, NV. The menu here is extensive and full of crowd pleasers. If you’re into Italian food — I would highly recommend checking out some of their exceptional pasta dishes. Also save room for dessert. They make all of their desserts on premises and though they don’t have a dessert menu — they will bring you out their dessert tray, graced with stunning masterpieces of sugary bliss. Their Coconut Cream Pie and Carrot Cake sounded particularly wonderful. Spoil yourself with Saletti’s. You won’t regret it. Trust.

Came to Tahoe to go skiing and decided to take a trip to Minden for dinner and was more than satisfied. The service, ambience and food were all very good here at Salettis. Our server was friendly and prompt and knew the menu. I had a spicy chicken pasta dish and the husband had a buffalo steak. Both portions were extremely generous. The pasta dish came to the table piping hot with al dente asparagus pieces and chicken in a spicy sauce. It was not a tomato sauce but it was very flavorful and just enough kick to tantalize but not overpower the taste buds. The buffalo steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and came with generous sides of vegetables and red potatoes. Our server was attentive and brought refills of club soda without us asking. Good food and good value — I took home half of my pasta for lunch the next day.

We came her on Valentine’s Day with no reservation and snagged a seat in the bar. The bartender was chatty and suggested some tasty appetizers. I ordered the carbonara which was delicious. Hubby ordered veal piccata in enjoyed it. Next time we come to David Walleys we will return!

Can’t say enough good things about here. Great service, food was great portions. The Ciopinno was amazing. The wine delighted us. The Dessert which the owner makes was awesome. I will definitely go back. It’s not somewhere you I could go all the time because of some of the prices but well worth it.

Went in with a group of 8. Sat us in the bar in a very uncomfortable fashion. Ignored us. Decided that we’d get better service next door, got up, left and went to CVI.

This is an excellent restaurant, with excellent service. Monday eve and there was a waiting area full of people. There were no minuses here, just good honest food and huge portions. Everyone leaves with a doggie bag.

Great happy hour, amazing desserts! Start with that and get dinner as leftovers! Always fresh the best spaghetti I have had since my grandma passed! One of my all time favorite places. Must have when in Gardnerville. Friday night they have a magic show that is really amazing.

Happy hour is always busy. Crowd is made up of professionals, food is pretty good. The weekday staff is amazing… really. They are absolute pros. They make you feel welcome, always in a good mood and always efficient. Even when its busy, they don’t stress out which is important to me. I want to unwind when i am there. If the staff is relaxed, everyone is relaxed. Great place to hang out after work. Fyi. the weekend staff doesn’t quite have it together like the week day staff. Lots of choices for gluten free. They even have GF soup and dessert. GF pasta too.

Forget Olive Garden, Saletti’s is true and original Italian set in a contemporary steakhouse setting of course near Downtown Minden! We came for lunch at the urging of my mom who happened to be celebrating her birthday that day. Of course we had to do what Queen Mum wanted and I am so glad we did! The menu was amazing with so many carby options to choose from but alas I had to watch it of course. After so much contemplating I decided on Baked Ziti which boasted an insane amount of cheese, penne pasta and I think a pink sauce which reminded me of Ala Vodka but I couldn’t be too sure. The dish was on point along with the service and I couldn’t have been happier with it all especially since the birthday girl was happy too! I will definitely go back!!!
