Just stopped in with SEVEN pieces of A3-size artwork. They were going to charge me $ 180EACH for very basic frames and their basic glass. I thought maybe they’d cut me some sort of a deal since I’m framing seven of the same size artwork, but zero attempt was made to win my business and I pretty much turned to go and she was like«Ok, bye!» Too bad. I’ll spend my money elsewhere, hopefully somewhere that wants my business and wants to find a solution that fits my needs. I know that you have to spend a little to frame things properly, but I think $ 180 for an 11X17 is ridiculous.

I stopped into Frame Ups on the recommendation of Sara W. after recently noticing a print at her house with a unique metallic textured neon green frame. She said Frame Ups was reasonably priced so I decided to give it a go, plus my DYI projects at Michael’s always end up being a struggle. I made a quick visit over Thanksgiving weekend and it was such a smooth process. In the past I’ve gone to Michael’s to pick a generic frame and then get a mat, never doing that again! Frame Ups was awesome in helping to select a frame and mat. The options were much more expansive than Michael’s and the individual helping me was solely dedicated to assisting me which was great. I would not want to walk into a Michael’s during the holiday season. I didn’t want to know what the frame and mat costs were separately so I purposely didn’t ask… but over all I would say that getting my print framed at Frame Ups cost only $ 40 more than going to Michael’s. It was worth every dollar, the hassle was taken out of the whole process.

I had a very large and very special print to frame and my other frame shop was closed on Mondays so I decided to try a new one. And I’m sure glad I did! They were so helpful and professional with amazing customer service. My art looks awesome! I would recommend them any day. Thank you so much!

I had never used a frame shop before but I had a very sentimental item that I needed framed. Frame Ups did an exceptional job with my piece and listened to what I wanted while giving me ideas at the same time. I felt comfortable leaving my item in their hands. I worked with Keith, who was awesome, but everyone in there seemed great. Highly recommend.

I had a special piece that I needed framed and wanted expert advice on the frame and mat situation as well as the confidence that my piece would be in good hands while the framing was complete. Preservation was also of the utmost importance. I found everything I needed at Frame Ups. The small framing store and art gallery located on Nicollet employs a very helpful and creative staff. I was very confident that my piece was in good hands. The outcome was exactly what we wanted and it looks great. Say hi to Adrienne for me, she was fantastic and did a fantastic job on the framing process. (the address is not on Lyndale, it’s 4325 Nicollet Ave S.!)
