Get Sauced offers a limited selection of tacos, sandwiches, bowls or burritos with a variety of protein options(vegetable, pork, chicken, etc). If you’re looking for food truck options, Get Sauced is always worth taking a look. The exact menu seems to vary from day-to-day(or week to week) because menu options have been different between visits. The staff at Get Sauced is friendly. If you tell them what you like, they’ll recommend an option that matches your appetite. i like that they stand outside the truck, eye-to-eye when interacting with customers. It results in less yelling, repeating and confusion. I recently tried their pulled pork tacos, with cabbage slaw and guacamole. The pulled pork was tender and the slaw was creamy. As prepared, the pork was a bit salty for my taste. However, after I added a dollop of their spicy orange hot sauce, it came into balance. The guacamole didn’t add(nor detract) anything. The chicken Satay bowl I had during an earlier visit to Get Sauced was more successful. It had all of the pea-nutty goodness that you expected from Satay and it mixed well with the white rice, Asian slaw and a dollop of their spicy orange hot sauce. Did I mention that I like their spicy orange hot sauce?

Pulled pork sandwich had good meat, good homemade coleslaw, good bun but the sauce was a little disappointing, for being«award winning.» Was that thick sweet stuff you are used to. The kind of sauce that masks out other flavors without brining anything interesting of its to the sandwich. Would love to see some more meat driven sauces or maybe even a vinegar or mustard based one. Overall good sandwich, but not«9-buck award winning sauce» good.

I basically eat at this truck once a week. I’m addicted to the Asian Style Tacos. Food is great, service is quick and friendly. You HAVE to check them out!

I may not be the world’s expert on pulled pork sandwiches, but I’ve had my share and can also make a mean pulled pork at home. I don’t get too excited anymore but was told that I «need» to try one here. I’m glad I listened. The pork itself is great. Smokey, rich and succulent. Has anyone used the word«succulent» to describe pork? Probably. I’m a sauce guy. I love saucey BBQ and condiments. The sauce they top it with is great. I like coleslaw. They throw some of that on top too. That would be my biggest drawback as it didn’t have a strong enough flavor to really compliment the sandwich. It certainly didn’t hurt, I just wished it was a little«sharper». I also got the Mexican corn because I was feeling especially terrible. It was DAMNGOOD and had a surprising kick of an aftertaste. Don’t sleep on the corn. Get it. Biggest downside: Don’t plan on being productive afterwards.

I am a sucker for condiments; this food truck continuously delivers on it’s name and I love it! This was my first food truck visit of 2014 and a great way to start the season. The mexican tacos(pork) are my favorite but the pulled pork and mexican corn are very good too, make sure to try their verde sauce. It’s $ 7 for tacos(2) and $ 9 for a sandwich but the portions are large; I have never been hungry after my meal. It’s a popular truck so there might be a wait but it’s totally worth it.

When I think about Get Sauced’s sauces, my mouth starts to drool. The pulled pork, BBQ sauce, topped with guacamole and cole slaw, combined in one sandwich. OHMYGOODNESS this is so AMAZING. Aside from the pulled pork sandwich, a person can’t go wrong with eating anything else. If I have to recommend something else though, order a side of Elote(Mexican Corn). It consists of mayo, cheese, cilantro which contributes to the salty, buttery, and sweet taste. This corn is so damn good that is mos def. comparable to State Fair corn. Yeah, I said it! Once you get your food, there are about three sauces to choose from. I would recommend the Oaxacan sauce for those that love spicy. ;) Despite my stomach becoming increasingly sensitive –due to age– every time I eat spicy food, I would gladly endure the writhing pains I have afterwards for a bite from Get Sauced.

I went to check out Get Sauced based on two things: 1. A twit-pic of their elote which practically made me drool all over my phone 2. Their name; I love me some sauces. I ordered said elote(or mexican corn as they call it here) and love that they have made this dish walk-around-town-able. They chopped the charred corn kernels off the cob, mixed it with mayo and cotija cheese(no cilantro for me, yuck…) and put it in a container with a fork. Easy-peasy and no mess. The veggie tacos were super tasty too. I actually thought I’d go with one of their BBQ sandwich options because hello, they are known for their sauces here. But instead veggie tacos seemed like more of a match with the elote. These tacos were super tasty with the combination of their green and red sauces. Also, major bonus points for using a mixture of regular corn tortillas and blue corn tortillas.

Oh holy cow. Or chicken, rather. I’m in foodie-love with the mexican chicken tacos. Perfect portion, perfect sauces, perfect flavors. And not even unhealthy! I’m headed out to hunt down this food truck again tomorrow!

It was a perfect day in late June when I became acquainted with Get Sauced. We were enjoying a few pre-Twins game brews at Fulton brewery, and the Get Sauced truck was conveniently placed outside. Since we’d been driving all morning, and had consumed very little food — the BBQ style tacos were calling my name. I picked pork as my meat choice, and of course had to include some Oaxacan sauce. Positives: –Good sized portions, the two tacos definitely filled me up. –The«BBQ style» was delicious, the sauce, slaw, and pork is a great combo. –Get the Oaxacan sauce! Has a nice spicy bite to it, but it’s not anything too insane. Negatives: –A little pricey, but pretty standard prices for food trucks. Perfect weather on a summer day, a Twins game, some Fulton beer, and food from Get Sauced… doesn’t get much better than that.

Yum! I sampled this food truck for the first time for lunch today and it was delicious. It was lined up with several other food trucks on Marquette downtown and had the longest line. Since it was obviously popular and it was a really nice day outside, my group decided to wait it out and see what they were all about. You could pick from pulled pork or chicken in sandwich or taco form. The also had some specials including a vegetarian option. I opted for the pulled pork sandwich. The sauce was listed as «MN Fair Award-Winning,» a worthy title. It was sweet and tangy and something I would like to buy by itself, and they didn’t skimp on the sauce. The pork was plentiful and really good. It wasn’t dry at all(something I hate about pork). The apple slaw on top was an excellent compliment to the whole thing. Even the bread was good! And at first I was a bit disappointed it didn’t come with chips or something, but the portion size was plenty to fill me up. My biggest complaint is how difficult it was to eat. I didn’t even try picking it up as a sandwich. I just went at it with my fork, a very effective method. The were also very fast. even with the very long line, we got our food almost immediately after ordering. Though I plan on trying every food truck I can this summer, Get Sauced is one I will definitely be returning to.

It was a biweekly trip to a new restaurant in the cities. We saw only about 7 food trucks on Marquette and I haven’t been there, and I have always wanted too. I noticed that they had a kalbi pork sandwich, which sounded delicious. I placed my order, a Kalbi pulled pork sandwich, and within 3 minutes, I had my food. Score 1! I have had to wait ridiculous times at these food trucks. This place does it right. Plus the sandwich was reasonably priced at $ 8. We walked over to a food court that was a block away and sat down. The sandwich was full of dark pork on top of a fresh looking bun. I added the hot aioli sauce and some hot BBQ sauce to the side. It turns out I didn’t even need this. The pork was juicy, but not too messy. The pork was mixed into an spicy, Asian style sauce. It was delectable. The heat was perfect, just enough to begin the beads of sweat on the forehead. The coleslaw was a nice touch to mellow it out a bit. The pork was so plentiful, I had to use a fork to eat it. The sauces I put on the side were also fantastic. I really enjoyed this sandwich! Great service, amazing sandwich, fast equals a five start food truck experience!

Hands down the best food truck on Marquette. Hands down. Sit down Hola, cheer up Smack Shack, I must admit the truth. Get Sauced has everything you want in a great food truck meal. 1) While there is always a line, the line moves fast. 2) Why does it move fast? They have their system down PAT. Order up, slop meat, coleslaw, and sauce on bun or put creamed corn in container. voila. 3) Their classic pulled pork is smashing. literally, I want to push myself in the face when i eat it. It’s so good. The coleslaw balances out the pork. 4) Their Corn. Holy balls. Must try. If I had a choice, I’d eat here every day. Unfortunately, their food also turns your butt into jelly so everything in moderation.

After reading all the reviews it sounds like I’m going to have to go back to try the corn! Anyway, tried the pulled pork sandwich today. Delicous and plentiful… it’s very messy and I mostly skipped the bun and just ate the meat and slaw with a fork. Yum, I can’t wait to go back!!!

Let’s talk about corn. I love it. Maybe it’s a midwestern thing, but I’d turn down most things for a good ear of corn. Make that an elote, and you’ve got me pinned. But elotes can be a little messy to eat! Mayo and crap falling everywhere. Get Sauced has tackled this problem by doing the obvious. Take the damn corn off the cob, throw all the yummy shit right in with it and you’re all good. We skipped work last Monday, got tacos and corn from Get Sauced and headed to the beach. Way more satisfying than work. Next time I am just getting the corn. Entrée style.

Let’s start by saying I’m obsessed with their mexican corn salsa. I’ve gotten it no less than 6 times now. In fact I’m so obsessed I even tried making some for the 4th of July. The corn is warm, with hints of lime, some mexican version of feta cheese, mayo and cilantro. I love getting this and grabbing a bag of sour cream potato chips to dip. I’ve also had the veggie tacos, they were delicious as well for someone who is a not the biggest fan of mexican food. They were loaded with veggies and reminded me of gyros. Don’t be intimidated by the line, it moves fast! I’m looking forward to trying more.

Got to Marquette late and starving and Get Sauced was one of the few trucks still there. And they still had food! And it was some great food too! I got the pulled barbecue sandwich and loved every saucy bite. The bun was a bit sweet and the crumb was perfect to absorb the juiciness of the barbecue sauce. And the meat was tender, and delicious and not dry at all(and pulled pork can be dry even if you cover it in sauce). Really a great sandwich. Too many trucks, too few lunches!

Have you ever inhaled your food so fast that you(a) don’t really remember eating and(b) are immediately filled with remorse that every single ounce of food that was on your plate is now gone and you have no clue what happened to it? The few patches of memory that I have retained from my lunch experience at Get Sauced are some of the most delicious, flavorful memories of the past month. This place is hands-down phenomenal. Anna Maria P. and I went for a quick power lunch right before noon and each got the daily special, which was some sort of a teriyaki/coconut curry/chicken rice bowl with cool cucumbers sliced on the top. The flavors of the sauced combined perfectly with one another, the chicken was so tender, and the cucumbers on top added a nice cooling effect to a slightly spicy aftertaste. While this place is not cheap, the price is comparable to the other food trucks and most definitely worth every cent. I cannot wait to «Get Sauced» again soon!!!

My friend and I each had the $ 8 Kalbi pork sandwich today and although we were at first a little disappointed that for $ 8 you don’t get any chips we soon realized that this was, hands down, the best pulled pork sandwich we had ever had. Get the spicy if you like spice at all. This is the kind of spicy that has a ton of good flavor backing up the heat. Not just spice for the sake of spice. They used ghost peppers and you could tell, but it wasn’t so hot that you couldn’t enjoy the flavor as well. I’m happy to hear that they are going to try and stay open all winter and if I only go out to eat once a week this is likely where I would go.

We stopped at the Get Sauced food truck – the latest addition to Minneapolis’ Food Truck convoy– at the Uptown Art Fair this weekend. It was delicious. Together we had the Mexican corn off the cob, the chicken BBQ sandwich and the vegetarian taco. All were fantastic. I’m so glad we passed up the run-of-the-mill corn dogs, funnel cakes and brats for Get Sauced. If you see the truck, stop. Even if you’re not that hungry, you have room for Mexican corn off the cob.
