This Vietnamese salon is in the Eat Street strip of Nicollet. I’ve seen 2 different stylists here for cut, color, and highlights. Both did an excellent job — uptown quality for Whittier prices! Same day appointment and open on Sunday.

If you come in knowing what you want, you’ll be very pleased. The owner is really nice. The salon artists are nice as well.

With respect to previous review, you should view anyone who gives Sebastien Joe’s one star with suspicion. Mens’ cut was ~$ 15 last I checked. I had 3 or 4 good walk-in haircuts here, but I got a new gentleman the other day and was less impressed. I asked him to just trim it a little bit in the front and top, leaving it long, and shorten and clean it up on the sides and back. My hair’s barely touched on the sides and back, and shortened considerably in the front. I actually had him re-do the back a bit, but was insistent that it was already too short in the back and I was kind of tired of dealing with trying to decipher the accent. The cut was bad and not what I asked for… my general feeling is he kind of did what he wanted to at his discretion. I wanted to more or less keep the look I had going on, but now look a bit like an Asian pop star. I believe his name was T.C., the taller guy with the goatee. I will still come out here for haircuts while I’m in Minneapolis, but will probably be making appointments in the future. Caveat: Asians have thicker and coarser hair than is typical of Minnesota. Non-Asians(see: white folk) can have trouble with it(and as such I tend not to let white people touch my hair). The reverse corrollary of that is that sometimes Asian people don’t know how to deal with non-Asian hair. So white folk, you’ve been warned.
