Todd is great! I get my haircut here when I’m in Minnesota and Todd uses great products and styles very well. I don’t trust many people with my hair since it is thick and hard to shape due to the many layers but Todd is great with thinning out hair and blowing it out. The parking around the salon is a bit hard as you have to park in side streets.

It’s like my hair just had a therapy session! The cut and color were both perfect. Vicki treated my hair like it was her own. The tips she gave me about simple things I can do to get stronger, healthier hair were fantastic.
Lolamax is the casual/​convenient version of an Aveda Salon. No soothing tea or essential oil neck massages, but the quality of their work is an even match!

Updated review! Todd and I spoke about my Brazilian not working and he very willingly offered to fix/​redo my blowout at no cost. I recently went in to have it redone and he did a fabulous job! I just washed my hair for the first time and it blowdried very fast and came out super smooth! Even after my initial average experience, I would go back to have a Brazilian Blowout done with Todd. The customer service has always been top notch, the salon is clean, and priced appropriately. I’m still not sure why my Brazilian did not work the first time but I’m very impressed with the customer service I received to make sure that it was fixed in a timely manner and that I was provided with a pleasant experience.

I happened to be in town and I had been really wanting to do a bold all over color for a while but I know from previous experience how botched those can go if the stylist doesn’t know their stuff. I ended up here because it was the only one that wasn’t crazy expensive, had good reviews, and was open on Monday. When I called in, I was immediately reassured. I told them I wanted an all over purple and the woman on the phone immediately called over Dustin who talked with me on the phone to make sure he had just what I wanted and in fact when he didn’t, he went and got the right colors. He explained what he was doing the whole way through he calmed all of my fears and was so nice it was just great! The color came out beautifully and was so much cheaper that many of the others! It was almost ¹⁄₃ of the price of the other salons. If you need any kind of funky colors or just want a great stylist, I 100% recommend Dustin.

Todd gave me a call today and explained that some people tend to leave the product for longer time and that’s the reason they left the product on my hair. I gave him a feedback that people should be given this choice and he agreed. I am increasing the rating as he got back to me immediately to get my feedback. Not many people do that these days!

I went to this salon for a Brazilian blowout after buying a groupon. I saw good reviews about this place and was very excited. I was suggested Brazilian blowout vs Keratin complex as I have thick hair. I was asked to keep the product on for atleast one day. After i washed my hair its still the same. Not much difference. So I went back and started doing some research and found out that she missed last few steps. According to the Brazilian blowout website, the product should be washed off after straightening and few other steps need to be done. Apparently these steps are skipped.

I originally went here because I bought a groupon for a brazilian blowout. The salon is on the smaller side, but very clean and comfortable. I can’t remember the name of the woman who did my blowout (sorry!) but she was blonde with long extensions. She was extremely personable and informative. She was able and happy to answer all of my random hair questions. She did an amazing job, my hair was GORGEOUS afterwards and the blowout lasted almost three months! This last time I went in for a haircut after burning a chunk of my hair off with a faulty blow dryer. I called in around noon and they were able to squeeze me in that afternoon. Derrick was able to fix my mishap and gave my hair more volume than I’ve had in years. Besides doing an amazing job, he was very respectful and great to chat with. Both of my experiences at Lolamax have been basically perfect, so I will definitely go back.

I’ve been searching for a salon and stylist since I moved last year. I finally found them both! After consulting the reviews, I made an online appointment at Lolamax with Vicki.
She took the time to sit me down, look at my hair, and figure out what was going to work best. We decide to blunt cut my ends and add lots of blonde. I gave fine textured hair an I was in need of a burst of color.
I love it! I got my mojo back. Thanks Vicki!

Easy to locate (just a couple of blocks west of 35W and Diamond Lake Rd) parking was surprisingly easy and walk-​ins are welcome, AND you can schedule online!
I have been going to Todd for years and, as a previous hair salon hopper, I can’t imagine going anywhere else, they are always upbeat, open to my ideas, and offer good suggestions when I can’t come up with anything. My hair has actually improved over the years. :)

I made an appt with Todd for the brazilian blowout for 5:30.
Making apt in the evenings make me a bit nervous, cause everyone is tired by the end of the day and i feel like they might not do justice to this tedious process.
But I was busy and needed the hair tamed.
Brett greeted me at the front desk and was polite and offered me a glass of water while i waited.
Todd was running a few minutes late but he addressed it and told me he should be ready soon. which he was.
He did an amazing job! the blowout looks great and my hair is touchable again :)
i had a bad haircut a few months ago. todd trimmed my hair without charging extra.
Very few people i know actually care about the customer the way Todd does.
They will be seeing me here a couple of times a year and all my friends too.
If you want to get a keratin treatment or Brazilian blowout done. Please visit these guys. they are awesome!
As for the indian community goes, i am taking it upon myself to spread the word– u will be seeing a lot of us.
May i just add, i called 5 places and these guys were through, polite, good and affordable. A hard combination to beat.

This review is long overdue. I always get this salon’s groupons for keratin straightening treatments, and I am 100% thrilled with the results. Becca does a fantastic job and does not try to give you a hard sell on the special shampoos.
The new location is much more upscale than the old Southtown location. I would definitely recommend them, with or without a special offer.

I had my first visit to Lolamax last week for a Brazillian Blow out. The salon is brand new, very comfortable, and the atmosphere was friendly. Todd was my stylist, and did an excellent job– I’ve had Brazillian Blow outs from a number of different salons, I don’t know what he did differently, but it’s amazing ! Can’t imagine not going back !

I never write reviews. but felt obligated to do so for this salon.
Derrick was incredible. Not only did he do a fantastic job on my hair, he was incredibly personable and welcoming.
More about the hair: I have very thin hair and have had issues in the past of having stylists not listen to me about how the curl falls out. Derrick did, and my hair stayed the entire evening. He’s a magician. Do it, book the appt, worth it.
