The best selection of brands I’ve seen in the twin cities. For the most part everything is the same price as you’ll find in any online store. But here you actually have the luxury of being able to try on your expensive clothes before you buy them. And they run deals. Stop in here before buying online.

Very neat organized boutique. Great, especially for the twin cities. I was forced to shop online for the most part before I found this store and BlackBlue. This store is much more streetwear heavy though. They carry brands like Play Cloths, BBC, Ice Cream, and the have a fair selection of nike sneakers as well as a few other brands. They also have a screen printing business if you’re interested in making your own shirts.

I’m glad to see that the number of hip-hop clothing boutiques in the Twin Cities is increasing. Before online shopping became popular –with websites like Digital Gravel, Karmaloop, MLTD– getting fresh hip-hop gear required«knowing» somebody. But now«Things Done Changed.»(Biggie reference.) Within the last couple years, a handful of new spots have opened up in Minneapolis alone! Phenom is refreshing with its dope two room setup, wooden floors, and tees that hang from an automated and revolving rack above.(Like what drycleaners have.) They also carry a small selection of sneaker classics like Nike Air Maxes, Jordans, and New Balances(the non-Grandpa kind), some interesting caps(both snapback and fitted), and original sweatshirts I’ve never really seen online. I’m not really a fan of their selection, but I can see how some peeps dig it. Aside from the gear, the customer service could be better. I saw one Nike Air Max and got a staff member to get it in my size. I found that it didn’t fit and tried chatting with him a bit. He seemed disinterested in trying to sell me anything and left to talk to the shorty at the front of the store. At other boutiques, the staff usually tries to hustle me. Kinda surprised. Again, I love Phenom’s dope space and can appreciate their gear, but the customer service could be better.

I’m from NYC, raised in Los Angeles and I’ve been everywhere in between. When it comes to sneaker stores and product displays I’ve seen my fair share… From my experience they were knowledgeable in keeping a low inventory(though somewhat extensive) and a small size. This is what makes them special. That is what drives the market and make sneaker heads /hypebeasts go crazy. It was my first time visiting MPLS and only my 2nd time in the midwest and I purchased a great pair of shoes on sale after deliberating for 40 min b/w 3 other options. Customer service was great too. Will def be back. Pricey, but no tax!

Incredible sneaker/streetwear shop. One of the few places in the Midwest to get account such as BBC/Ice Cream, PLAY, Diamond Supply, and the list goes on. Beautiful ground up conceptual design with their Phenom cloud logo emblazoned across the racks, counters, and their own personal clothing that they manufacture in the back of the shop. So sick! Much love for this shop and always stop in to see their new gear whenever I’m in the area. Pricy for some of these products because of their brands, but it’s well worth the pricepoint if you are savvy in the streetwear game and understand what you’re actually looking at! o. O

Phenom carries an excellent selection of premium streetwear brands in a well organized, aesthetically pleasing boutique setting. Their kick selection is Nike heavy, but it is well curated. Many brands are carried including Amongst Friends, Crooks & Castles, Diamond Supply Co., and The Hundreds. They also sell their own brand of clothing which is pretty hot. Bottom line: There isn’t a store in MPLS that carries anything like Phenom. I’m a LA kid and had to resort to buying clothes online until my friend put me on to this spot. Check them out.

St. Paul location is now closed but check out the Minneapolis location at 2829 Hennepin Ave. S. in Uptown. The Mpls location puts the old store to shame. Triple the size and offerings. Not to mention the custom screen printing studio in the back of store.

The interior is aesthetically pleasing and better than most street wear sneaker boutiques. It might as well have been plucked off a street in san francisco or new york, and the service is quite good. The staff is as knowledgeable as can be. They helped me find exactly what I was looking for and didn’t rush me or anything like that. On the wall they have the usual nike af1 fare, as well as A-lifes, a couple of adidas and a few other brands. Very reasonable prices and lots of sale items.
