reVamp Salon Spa

I have to say I am a bit biased when it comes to cut and color. I have a number of girlfriends in the industry so it’s always hard when I step out on them to find a stylist. I was in desperate need of a cut like yesterday and I was able to get in at ReVamp salon the same day with Chelsea. I have to say she was as good as it get’s for a first time experience. She listened and was able to understand my long term goals with my style. If you are looking to try out a new stylist and don’t want to spend the coin for a senior stylist I highly recommend Chelsea Baert at ReVamp. Needless to say I hate that I won’t be seeing one of my talented girlfriends but happy I found someone within my neighborhood to go to.

This is my favorite place to get a massage in Minneapolis. Lucia is amazing and will find places you didn’t even know we’re sore. The ambiance is great, the service is great and the prices are reasonable. I had tried so many high end spas and left disappointed (*cough, Juut, cough*) but ReVamp is always great!

Terrible customer service. I’ve been getting my hair done here for a year and I’ve finally had enough. The people working the front desk are extremely rude — the first time I walked in as a new customer, they didn’t even acknowledge me when I walked in the door. I wasn’t shown the waiting area, where to leave my things or change. When you’re getting charged $ 200 for a cut and color, you’d expect a warm greeting. The other major detractor is their scheduling. They advertise online scheduling, but apparently no one actually checks it, because I’ve requested appointments within a 7 day window, only to receive a response after all of my requested times. I requested an appointment last week, and I’m still waiting! The only reason I’m giving them 2 stars is because Brittany did an amazing job with my hair — if you can get past the door, go to her!

I made an appointment with Chelsea to get my diy ombré corrected and not brassy colored. She listened to my wants in color and executed it beautifully. I love my new color! She’s still a little new to the hair industry, graduating recently, but you can’t tell at all! Her background in painting really shows through, she got the color and smooth color transition in my hair spot on! I recommend her to anyone with hair color needs!

A few weeks ago I went for a gel manicure it was poorly done and overpriced next day it shipped and by the end of the week it was all done. Later I decided to go for my hair as I read a lot of good reviews again extremely overpriced and they did a poor job styling my hair I had to come home and do it again. If don’t have to don’t come here they charge too much for something that you can get in other places for way less and way better. I hated both times.

Brittany Wenzel was fantastic. She gave me the best haircut ever. She gave me the option of having a cut that was even on both sides or was uneven, taking into account how I wear my hair. I chose uneven, and have never had some many compliments. Brittany is a pro!

reVamp has their own conditioning treatment that turns my hair into commercial hair. My hair has never been shinier, softer, and silkier than after those treatments. They do one at salon and then give you a four pack with other treatments to use once a week so it lasts at least a month. I have tried other treatments at other salons and none compare to revamps. I highly recommend it. They offer deals when coupled with hair cut or color, so the conditioning treatment is only $ 29 more with other hair service. Only downside to revamp is parking.

This salon is my favorite! I went in to see Kelly with bad frosted blonde hair and she turned it into the most gorgeous caramel. Then two years later she turned it into this amazing brown that I fell in love with! All the stylists there are great, I would highly recommend this salon!

Brittany styled my hair a bit ago for the first time and did a FANTASTIC job. I am a natural dirty-​blond, but need the highlights in the winter time :) I went out on a limb and asked Brittany to do a partial highlight AND low light, and it couldn’t have turned out better. I was extremely nervous to try the low lights for the first time, but Brittany did a great job. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair — it was the «pick-​me-​up» I needed.

I’d never been to ReVamp! when I made my appointment, but had heard really great things from friends, so I decided to try it out — and I’m so happy I did. I went in for a cut and color (balayage) and was set up with Margaret, a lower-​level stylist. She did an amazing job. She was communicative in the best way, making sure she knew exactly what I wanted, and was both friendly and professional. She even gave me a complimentary small bottle of Moroccan oil after the service… score! The salon is clean, the staff friendly, and the services are top-​notch. I’d recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be going back (#teammargaret). The only aspect I didn’t like about the salon was that you can’t tip with your card, so be sure to bring cash (they do have an ATM there as well, $ 1.50 withdrawal charge).

Amy Z. Is amazing at cut + color. She masters the transition from communication to reality and truly brings your vision alive. She’s also affordable and has great hours, an awesome addition to the revamp team. Highly recommend her skills.

Kelly M had me in for a haircut. She was sweet as can be and a lot of fun to chat with. If everyone started their day out with a shampoo head massage as nice as that, the world would be a better place! Without adding much of her own opinion (my only critic), what I asked for she made happen. My do looks great and healthy.
Highly recommend the establishment, as well. Everyone was very pleasant and the ambiance was great!

Hair stylists at ReVamp are great! I’ve gone to Natalie several times and she always does a fantastic job on my cut. She’s very friendly and personable. I would also recommend to anyone!

I started going to ReVamp about 9 months ago with a Groupon. Amy gives a killer haircut and it is always a nice way to break up the day. She has great attention to detail, has an awesome energy and she is a Badger fan! On Wisconsin!
I would recommend Amy to anyone I know!

Customer service is really lacking here. They don’t tell you where to go and sit or anything, you have to figure it out yourself. My appointment was delayed 25 minutes, and they never called to tell me. I wouldn’t recommend getting a manicure there either. They don’t even soak your nails or wash your hands after they’ve been filing and picking cuticles and don’t have nail dryers. So basically they’re working on your dry, sensitive skin and then just leave you at the table to wait for your nails to air-​dry. Then the polish didn’t even last a week, no going back there.

They suck, they don’t listen, they can not cut nor dye hair and their apologies are worthless and to add insult to injury you still have to pay for parking to get them to try and fix their F*up’s. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I made an appointment with Christopher, wanting his opinion on updating my look. Who would have thought some simple changes could make such a huge difference? He sent me over to the makeup artist to show me how to do make-​up (after you turn 50, ya gotta make some changes!) and I walked out of the place feeling like a million bucks! Totally worth the time and money. Make the investment in yourself and book an appointment with Christopher. And don’t waste time arguing about why his suggestions won’t work – just TRY it!

I brought my bridal party to reVamp (6 women, 7 including me) on September 14^th. To cut to the chase, everyone was absolutely THRILLED with the kindness, thoughtfulness, professionalism, and talent this crew possesses.
Sohelia did the up-do’s, she is AMAZING. A true hair artist that works magic, and hilarious to boot. Kami, and Amy did the make-​up. Again, two truly artistic and talented individuals that take their work very seriously. Robert helped me with all the scheduling and was very polite and patient through the whole process, even when I got frustrated.
All 7 of us had a wonderful experience here with this team, and wish we could do it all over again. We got compliment after compliment all night during the wedding reception. I highly recommend!

I came in for a manicure after receiving a gift card from Urban Eatery. When I made my reservation, the woman said manicures with the available nail specialist started at $ 20. I thought that was a great deal and, since I didn’t need any bells or whistles, was expecting it to come in around that so I booked right away. It ended up being double that and I had to tip poorly because they only accept cash or checks (really??). The remaining cash I had needed to fund my parking in the pay lot behind the building because they do not have parking nor do they validate.
The manicure was fine. It started late and felt rushed, but my nails are painted. Certainly not work $ 40 +tip.
Biggest complaint by far is the tipping policy. If you are going to charge premium prices for services, accept credit cards. Not many people carry cash and don’t get me started on checks. Not possible? Fine. Be sure to outline the policy upon reservation. Otherwise, people will leave feeling guilty and stylists will leave feeling stiffed.

Don’t be fooled by the Christopher Hopkins Makeovers you see on TV, where Christopher is fawning over the client, who is surrounded by supportive friends and everyone is having a wonderful time. Instead, prepare for cold, clinical, assembly-​line treatment.
I attended a friend’s makeover and found Christopher and his staff to be unwelcoming and dismissive. It was bizarre; no one welcomed us, introduced themselves, or told us what to expect. I was escorted from the service area to the lobby because Christopher «is an artist who needs to work alone.» We were shut down every time we tried to talk about my friend’s style and career and the type of look she was hoping for.
Her new hairstyle is nice, but she was given no instruction how to style it herself. Her makeup was overdone, leaving her with no options for her everyday look at work.
It was the first makeover I’ve ever attended where the client went home depressed instead of elated. If you’re looking for a fun, collaborative makeover experience, go somewhere else.

Came for a spray tan… didn’t know what to expect. Amy was the aesthetician and kindly guided me through the process in a kind and helpful way. My tan was so pretty and Amy really made me feel comfortable. The spa itself was clean and quiet. All the employees were happy and calm. I have a colleague who gets her hair done there regularly and looks amazing every time.
Parking was difficult on a Friday rush hour but I found a free street spot on Hennepin and walked a few blocks.

I moved to Minneapolis in June and along with where I would eat, I was wondering where I was going to get my herr dun (hair done — that’s my St. Louis pride). It’s a good thing Unilocal!exists for reasons like this. First things first, the service. I don’t know what the people below me are saying, but the service is great. From the front staff (always very accomodating) to the stylists (I’ve had two now) — definitely friendly and great to work with. Even this past week, I was going to be 30 minutes late to an appointment and they definitely helped me out so the parentals who were flying to town didn’t mistake me for a bum.
Now on to the stylists. I’ve had both Emma and Kelly. Emma has done a great job since day 1. My head of hair is thick, it’s like trying to cut a broom. Emma was very patient and charming and able to take the time to get things right — much appreciated.
Lastly, the website. It was definitely very helpful in helping me find who to pick. The profiles describe the training that each of the stylists have received and allows the reader to pick based on what they need. Emma seemed to have the most experience with men’s haircuts and so I’ve been going to here since. I’ll definitely stick with reVamp! for as long as I am in Minneapolis. I would definitely check them out.
