Saving Tape

Really good experience — I just got about 30 Dig8 and a few Hi8 tapes digitized here. They quickly converted the lot into .MOV files and returned them to me on a nice USB3 hard drive. A few of the tapes had become more or less unplayable due to a mysterious liquid spill at our house, but the ST crew salvaged some iffy bits that I’m glad to have (and that I hadn’t been able to salvage on my own). The majority were problem-​free and the resulting files look and sound superb. I think the price was reasonable.
I would gladly return with similar projects in the future.

I brought 17 8 mm movies to Saving Tape to convert to DVD. The results were excellent! I had tried another service previously. They messed up the order of my tapes and the conversion was dark with large sections of film missing. Gordon and Thor treated my films with utmost care and professionalism. The films transferred beautifully, completely, and in chronological order. A real joy to watch and share with my family. I will bring more film to Saving Tape to be converted. ok… I have been searching high and low. for a media conversion company to convert old old 8 mm to DVD. My mother has Alz/​Dementia and is in a nursing home, and I really wanted to be able to show her, her life.
I brought my whole big stack of old 8 mm movies to this wonderful guy, who put them all on DVD’s for me. I already showed one to my mother and she was so happy to see herself in 1958.
This is the coolest thing, and who doesn’t have old movies that are full of joy to and fun to watch. It’s just amazing. I also brought some video’s that I had taken on a small hand held camera of the last few years at the nursing home and had them all converted to DVD.
When my mother is finally on her .next journey, I will have the best tribute to her, all easy to share with everyone.
Total value for the absolutely priceless.
