Sneaky Pete’s

I have visited this bar four times in my life in attempt to have a good time. This is not a great choice for a night out. The saddest thing about this is that the first time I was there, I had a blast. I could not ask for a better night. The other three visits failed to match up with the first. I often compare this aspect to The Silence of the Lambs vs. its sequels. The original is amazing, but the rest were no good.
The employees need to have a much better eye on cleanliness and order. I understand that it gets busy at night. They appear to have a full staff; therefore, they should have no problem cleaning up messes and clutter that come their way. Therefore, I felt uncomfortable in this bar. For instance, there was a time that I saw broken glass on the floor for one hour before someone attended to it. There were a few patrons that almost cut themselves by accident.
The quality of the drinks range between average to horrible. I find it impossible to predict which end of the spectrum I will get. Besides my first visit, I have never had a drink that tasted better than average. I order simple drinks; yet, they still fail to get the quality right.
The customer service from the bartenders and the security need a lot of work. I feel like the bartenders hate their jobs and feel the need to take it out on the patrons. I tried killing them with kindness and tipping them well. They remain rude. The security is worse. I feel like they try to intimidate their patrons. I have seen them screaming at people and giving people dirty looks, even though they are doing nothing wrong. Such behavior from the employees is uncalled for.
The incident that made me officially not want to come back is when I saw a security guard assault a patron. This patron was only making loud noises, nothing else. The security guard dragged the patron to where it was hurting him. When they got outside, the guard threw the patron on the street and then started kicking him. Through this ordeal, the patron never made any threats, nor did he show any aggressive behavior. I immediately stormed out of there. I filed a complaint (about this along with the overall quality of the bar) to ownership and management, but I never got a response.
I will never come to this bar again. I recommend that everybody else take my lead with this. I hope that management and ownership read this review and take what I say under consideration.

Had a great time there this weekend. Our waitress Ashley was awesome and took care of us very well. I’ll go there again next time I’m in town.

This place is soo much fun… The bar girls are amazing and highly energetic… The one I remember of is Jordan.
Jam packed, High energy bar… they give away free shots at times.

Located in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis.
I’ve been coming here since day 1 when they opened.
Always a good time at night. They even bring out the poles later in the night, for what else, POLE DANCING.
Food is always fresh, and fast. The bartenders and servers are extremely HOT! You’ve been warned you married couples.
Outside smoking patio with heat, and music.
You can’t go wrong coming here.
No baggy clothes or Jerseys are allowed and some nights there is a cover.
The Dj is killing the beats and the atmosphere after
is the show. So don’t miss this spot. Can’t miss Sneaky Petes, it’s right on the light rail.

A great bar that I have been to frequently. Food service has been an issue at times. Sometimes it takes a while to get something ordered even if its not busy, and it does get crazy busy here.
Other than getting your food order in the food here is super delicious! I love the Ahi Tuna appetizer and the Chili Tots!
Jake knows his stuff when it comes to drinks, you don’t even need to know what you want when you are at the bar, just ask him to surprise you and indeed he will, with a drink you’ve most likely never had but will want time and time again!
Overall its a great bar, and you can see that by the crowd they pull in. The patio out back is year round and heated to the point where you forget its even winter.
A great bar to stop by if you are visiting or are downtown for an event!

The only reason I’m giving Sneaky Pete’s one star is because of the behavior that I personally witnessed on the behalf of one of the employees, named Eric. He was a security member for Sneaky Petes. I watched Eric physically knock out one of the bar patrons when it was not necessary to do so at all. This patron was actually trying to control his drunken friend who was being highly aggressive and yet gets knocked out COLD! I mean, I’ve never witnessed someone fall so hard to the ground and literally is bleeding from the head and mouth. And all of this because ERIC physically attacked this man out of no where. Yeah, as a first time visitor to Minnesota and to also be celebrating one of my best friend’s birthday, this is sure an experience to remember. So devastating. Smh ERIC is an awful representation for this company.
Besides the security guards awful behaviors, Sneaky Petes is a pretty relaxed place with nice drinks and specials. The staff besides SECURITY are welcoming and made sure that patrons were okay.

After a very entertaining male bartender took his break we were very disappointed to receive horrible service from his replacement. She was not attentive, which by itself is no crime, but when we brought our dissatisfaction to her attention, she replied that it was our fault we didn’t receive timely service. However, we had interrupted her flirting 3 times just to order food. As an avid supporter of local bars and restaurants I was appalled by her lack of sincerity and apparent disregard for patrons.

Used to frequent this place all of the time. We live 3 blocks away — there aren’t many places open after midnight on a Sunday. Stopped by tonight with my boyfriend and another friend — they wouldn’t let us in… on a Sunday evening… because he was wearing trendy joggers. That’s fine — we could see about 3 patrons inside (clearly it was busy enough) — if you don’t want our money you don’t have to take it… but after years of patronage, it just seemed a little funny to me. We’ll keep searching for our Sunday (or any night) bar. Won’t be stopping back here.

I wouldn’t really call this a sports bar. Banging clubby vibe which is good if you’re looking to pound some shots and chat to some chicks. But if you’re looking to chill out and watch some UFC I’d probably venture elsewhere. Beer selection was pretty limited but that’s not their focus.
So in closing, come here on a Saturday night if you’re looking for some jersey shore style fun! Do it!!!

Tip: Don’t confuse the pretty little servers with words like «balsamic» or «tart», and don’t ask them what award they received for their «award-​winning sandwiches»… They’re very good-​looking girls.

Great staff. Great food. Right on the light rail downtown. Next to Target Center and Target Field.

Came here with a friend and one of the bartender (male) was really ill-​mannered and very rude. I don’t know if someone pissed him off that night but the music was very loud so for him to be able to hear me over the counter i had to shout (obviously because of the loud music on the dance floor) and after I ordered my drinks I asked him for some napkins, he got angry and gave me ONE piece of napkin and told me to use my manners when talking with him? (He gave me this stupid mean look and also used his hands to point at my face) How can I talk with him in a nice voice when I have to shout at him over the loud music so he can hear me? (Duh, common sense) First time I ordered in a normal tone he complained that I needed to speak louder and when I did he had the nerves to tell me I need to know my manners? Totally ruined my night due to his ugly customer service skills. Mind you, I’m never coming back to this place. With an attitude like that, I did not leave him a tip.

Sneaky good lunch spot. Good selection of food. The wait staff is usually nice and attractive. As far as night life — I think it is fun. People dance on the poles and the music is good. Beers are fairly priced. Lots of girls selling shots at night.

I’ve been here many times and usually have fun but overall it’s kind of a douchey place and it’s usually never my first choice. It’s fine though. Big dance floor. It’s fine for what it is.

Not sure why people complain-​Sneaky Pete’s is large bar with virtually everything being a dance floor. Always entertaining people to watch. Plus, they have decent tequila on shelf.
They also let 18 of us drunk bachelor party-​goers in at once. That was neat lol

Went here to watch the Gophers in the Citrus Bowl, so basically it was New Year’s Day morning. We met a few friends here and had a great time. The service was awesome. The food was great. I thought it was going to be super busy, but our group was the only one in there when the game started. By the time the game ended the hangover crowd had meandered its way into the establishment.
Definitely a bar I’d go to again.

I’ve never had a problem at this place nor did I ever deem it anything special. I know my buddies loved the place because it’s easy to pick up some loose (aka skanky) women. However last night on NYE sealed it for me. Everything was fine. Until I lend a girl my phone because she lost her ride. When I tried to walk back in the bouncer who must have been at least 50 years old wouldn’t let me back in because he claims I didn’t have a wristband. I did but I just didn’t show it to him fast enough long story short he wouldn’t let me in and I gave him a piece of my mind.
Pros: If you like loose women, cheap drinks, and love to catch STD’s this is the perfect place for you
Cons: If you’re a person of color avoid this place like the plague

I always have a good time at Sneaky Pete’s. Not sure why the reviews are so low. Drinks are on par for neighboring downtown bars and I’ve always had good service from the wait staff. Love the music at night and big enough for some good fun!

Dont get me wrong, I’ve had plenty of good times here. I just feel like it’s overcrowded and the dance floor is nothing special. There are poles set up in the middle to dance on, and a large crowd of old men gather around to watch the young girls dance. It’s quite disgusting when you’re just trying to have fun dancing with your friends.
When I say old men, I’m not kidding. These men probably have children or grandchildren at home and they just stand there staring at you like you’re meat.
Perhaps they meant to venture upstairs to the strip club and got lost?
Either way, there are plenty of other bars around the area that don’t make you feel violated.

Now don’t get me wrong, because I love broing out once in a while, but dayum, where dem guuurls at? Cause all I see is sausages up in hur.
Probably the most aptly named bar I’ve been to in a while.
