I needed a gift for a wedding that was set to begin in … a few hours. I called SouthSide and Susan answered (cell phone) and said she wasn’t open but could meet me down there anyway. She not only helped me find some beautiful – and totally unique – antique kitchenware, but also spent about 20 minutes flipping through old postcards with me to try to find one to use as a card to go along with the gift (her great idea).
Then she found a cardboard box, wrapped the fragile gifts in newspaper, opened a new roll of the perfect wrapping paper, and even tied a freaky-​cool bow for the top using thick red yarn – lovely. She is a designer and it shows.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Susan is warm, and very cool. We had some laughs over some of the racy things people wrote on the postcards in the seventies and eighties. Can’t get that at Crate&Barrel. The prices were reasonable too.

Great location, super great merch, fun team, love this shop and will return frequently to see what new wares they have unearthed! Especially since I pretty much bought out their selection of super cute skirts and dresses
