I would describe the studio as a serene spot to get into shape. Different than other fitness studios in a great way. Every time I’ve attended a class, it was a friendly and fun atmosphere. There is a professionalism about the instructors, type of classes offered, and even front desk staff that is noticeable as well as conducive to presenting an environment that serves customers well. I can just tell that a lot of time and thought goes into everything the Studio offers. The instructors emphasize proper form, teach technique, and foster change in a way that sets this studio apart from others(and I’ve tried a lot of others!).

I started going to this gym last week and while I have not seen any physical changes in my appearance I have noticed that my mental attitude has significantly improved. My job can be very stressful at times so making time to workout has always been difficult for me. After joining this gym I have found that I look forward to my time at the gym from the moment I wake up each morning and find myself able to unwind and sleep at night. I can’t wait to see as significant of results in my physical appearance soon– Thank you Studio TimeOut!

This studio changed my outlook on working out. I was at the Y for a few years before Studio Time Out and I never felt an impact on my fitness nor did it change my outlook on my health. I showed up a few times, worked out on boring machines and paid my monthly dues, but I was never fully participating in my work-outs because I either felt self-conscious that I didn’t know what I was doing or how I looked. At Studio Time Out forget feeling self-conscious! Get over wondering if anyone is looking at you or what you’re wearing or how you’re moving! This is the most welcoming, empowering and educational studio I’ve ever been a part of. I started in 2009 and I’m still inspired after each class. At the risk of sounding corny, this is a really great community to be part of. I highly recommend it here.

I have been working out here for 4 years and love it. You receive individualized attention in class. The classes push you to work hard and to your limits to get the best results. The instructors and staff care about you as an individual, know everyone’s names and they want you to show up. It’s not a place where you pay just pay your monthly dues but never go to class. You are motivated to show up. You will see results. Bars class here has been a huge help in strengthening my core which has made a huge difference in my running and downhill skiing. I also love the emphasis on eating organic, nutrition, massage, infrared sauna and holistic health. I have learned so much about health here just from being a member. Fun extra events here as well, such a creating vision boards.

Love aerial stretch! Everyone is super friendly here. They take time to remember your name. You can register online for classes, which helps keep you on track and more likely to be consistent with your workouts. Started coming when I snagged a Groupon and will likely sign up for more classes.

I am slightly obsessed with this place! I did the trial membership and loved it so much that I decided to become a member. The referral membership was $ 49 a month. What a fantastic deal and I would still even pay the $ 105 a month for the standard membership. My favorite part about this place is that they have so many different kinds of classes. I have taken the Nia, bars, body pump, tabata and aerial stretch, which isn’t even half of them. Every time I try a new class I am so excited to do it again. They each feel like they leave you with a good workout and had fun doing it. This place has great atmosphere and great instructors. All the equipment is in good shape and I love the hot lavender towels in the bathroom after a workout. The only thing I wish is that they had a few more body pump classes a week and some more classes early in the morning and late in the evening. I know I work a crazy schedule and this isn’t always possible but I can still wish.

I originally came to this studio via their nutrition series which was recommended to me by a friend. The nutrition series(through their Body Balance«arm» of the studio”) is taught by Jeanne, the owner and Lucy a nutritionist life coach. The nutrition class changed my life… not exaggerating! I learned a great deal about my digestive system and body chemistry and it’s made a huge difference to the way I eat and feel. Through that class I learned of a six week Package for unlimited group classes. I did that(mostly Nia, Zumba and Barres) and fell in love the studio and the instructors. It is not cheap, but they are up front about that and note that if you are looking for low cost, it’s not a good fit. However, I’ve belonged to many health clubs and fitness studios over the years and I can say that the instructors here are top notch. They know fitness, the body and work with you to ensure that you are getting a workout that works for you. I’m in my 50’s and I would say that you do see a wide range of body types and fitness levels. I like that! I gave a six week package as a gift to my daughter who is 22 and she loved the range of women and said, «everyone is so friendly! I never felt uncomfortable or like it’s a „competition“ which it can sometimes feel like at the larger fitness chains.» I’ve now been a member for a couple of years and continue to appreciate how responsive Jeanne is to feedback about the studio. They consistently look for ways to keep things interesting, like adding Tabata classes(which are great!).

The space is lovely, with tons of natural light — so unusual for a fitness studio, and one of my favorite things about it. The classes(I’ve done Tabata, Beyond Bars, Pilates, and Iyengar Yoga) are challenging but totally scalable, with instructors sharing modifications and expressing an attitude that one should do what’s best for her own body. The instructors and reception staff are professional, engaged, and kind. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that the prices are a bit out of reach.

I dunno. I kind of like this place. I came here via a Groupon deal which was: 10 barre classes for $ 59. Geez, $ 59? For barre classes? A couple of places charge $ 20 – 22 per class and that’s with a package. So, yes, please! TimeOut’s barre classes are called«Behind Bars». I’ve only had Madeline so far. I find her a very effective fitness instructor. Even though the classes have 20 – 30 students, she scans the room and offers up corrections and modifications. This impresses me. I also liked the fact that there seemed to be a wide variety of ages in my barre classes rather than a bunch of 20 something year olds clad in Lululemon with fake tans unlike a certain yoga chain that I will not mention by name. I would recommend signing up for class online. Also, you get a «no show» charge if you sign up for a class but don’t show up but this is pretty common with barre classes. I haven’t taken the other classes yet, but I might take a pilates one to switch things up. The studio itself is also very, very nice. There are dressing rooms, hot towels, and tea. Reception area people are nice also! So, you have to sign up for an orientation which at first I was kind of bummed out. But, when I went to the orientation, I found it really helpful and the instructor seemed knowledgeable and interested in everyone. Orientation is only about 15 – 20 minutes so not really a biggie. I would recommend trying to fit your orientation in before a class you want to attend. I’ve also not had parking issues at this place either but I usually take the first class of the day.
