BINGO! Fun times in Fridley!
Now, I do not live anywhere near this place, but each year some friends and I attend the Women’s Auxiliary Style Show and Luncheon in November.
The event was this past Saturday and we had our tickets, so we braved the weather and headed for it.
The style show is always a great time. They ladies do a nice job on the luncheon and raffle/​door prizes. I walked away with a blazer from Taylor Marie’s mobile retail store, a home made Vikings hat and scarf, an Avon door prize, and a round of golf! They have a great bar set up in the back just for the style show ticket holders.
Once the style show finishes, we head to where the real fun is — the bar! They have bar BINGO! at 3 and it’s C-​R-​A-​Z-​Y!
Mix up beer in frosty mugs, beef sandwiches, serious bingo players and miscellaneous other folks and you have yourself a fun afternoon.

Hallelujah! I went here for the third or fourth time and they finally opened up the bar. How can you host Balkan concerts and not have a bar? It’s pure blasphemy. Now if they would just get themselves baking some cevapi or burek in the back…
The Bosnian Supermarket usually sells tickets for Bosnian and Serbian concerts here. Does the VFW ever bother to put these events on their calendar page? Nope. They don’t seem to do much of anything, but I still give them props for allowing these obscure groups to grace their establishment for 2 – 5 hours every other month.
