This has become my Thursday morning regular! Always fast service with great staff. After searching the area for a breakfast restaurant I am so happy I came across Grandma’s! The food is delicious and they have the best prices from Morris to Joliet!

This place is very nice if you’re looking for a family diner. It’s a little further down Mondamin before it turns in to Minooka Road. You’ll see families here, older couples, truck drivers, everyone. It’s relatively slow when I come in, but I have seen busier days when passing by. Their food is very good. Sometimes the salt is a little strong in soups, but I like salt. Be prepared to pay a dollar extra for fries but honestly the entrées are cheap enough that it is okay.

The atmosphere reminds me of a small diner. Waitresses are friendly enough. We have only enjoyed their breakfast skillets. The Greek skillet and sausage skillet. Both were delish!

Good food. My husband enjoyed his skillet and the pumpkin pancakes were delightful. Good service. Only gave 4 because my husband didn’t care for the coffee.

The location is just ordinary and in a strip mall so at first I was skeptical. However, the food was great. We ordered a skillet which was awesome, French toast that was super sweat and like homemade and over easy eggs. Coffee was great and the service was outstanding.

I visited this restraunt by myself for the first time. Service was quick and breakfast came out hot and delicous. Went to the restroom my table was cleared and check awaited me when I came back. It would be much appreciated if you would give singles the same courtesy as you give larger parties.

Nothing extraordinary, they have various choices of skillets and fresh squeezed OJ. I got a veggie skillet with no egg, it lacked seasoning and it peeves me when breakfast joints don’t provide REAL maple syrup with pancakes. Service was ok.

This restaurant has very bad service and a very rude waitress! The waitress was carrying a baby around the restaurant. We have eaten here dozens of times and we’ve never had an issue — but now I think it’s because the place is usually empty when we are there. Apparently when they get more than 2 tables of people, everybody freaks out. Maybe that’s why it’s always empty?

I eat breakfast quite a bit here because it’s better than either Rubys(across the street) or Lone Star(Channahon). Prices are average, and the menu offers a good variety. Breakfast is served all day. Omelettes and waffles are great. No extra charge for whipped cream on the waffles! Hash browns and french fries could be improved, and the corned beef used in the reuben is not a good quality. Service is usually very good but can depend on the waitress you get. Dining area and bathrooms are always clean. I would recommend overall.

Started coming here over Rubys just because it doesn’t look like it’s falling apart inside and the last time I went to Rubys I made the mistake of going to their bathrooms… So now we go to grandmas pricing is pretty average some items a little higher than others. We have special requests every time we’re there(food allergies, extra crispy this or dry that ect,) and they have accommodated with out any issue. Service is a slight bit off on busy mornings like others have posted. All in all not a bad local breakfast stop!

My mom and I went here for breakfast today. She ordered eggs, hash browns, and sausage and I got a feta omlet with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. To start it took just about a half hour to get our food and there were only 4 or 5 tables. When we recieved our food all of it was ice cold. My mom’s over easy eggs were clear and the inside of my omlet was still raw as well. We did not get good service, our waitress stopped at our table once to clear our plates. I do not recommend going here.

I’m working close by so I have been eating here. Service is great. Food is American and the quality is fair. Price is very reasonable. As my wife liked to say, «fills the hole»

Used to come here almost every Sunday morning until I moved. Great reasonably priced breakfast or lunch. Really friendly and caring staff. Never have to wait too long for a table or for your order. I love this place!

Went for breakfast. 2 of us had chicken fried steak & pancakes. I had poached eggs, bacon(crispy and perfect), sweet potato fries. I did not care for the taste of the steak they had, but my companions loved it. My breakfast was perfect. Service is slow as there was only one waitress(on a Saturday morning). The fresh squeezed OJ is outstanding but warm. I added ice from my water glass. Best breakfast place in the area.

Been here a few times for breakfast with the kids, fresh squeezed OJ with decent food. Never had a bad experience, nothing spectacular though.

A bit skeptical going back but kept hearing how amazing their country fried steak was. Its listed as a special so its not on the menu. Turned out that it was the tastiest country fried steak I’ve had, the breading was delicate as it came right off the steak when I cut it and it and each bite just melt in my mouth. The hashbrowns, eggs, and gravy were really good as well. The orange juice tasted as if it came from freshly-squeezed oranges. Couldn’t believe this was the same place I went to sometime ago.
