Chicken Scallopini is wonderful. Fresh food, excellent service, amazing ambiance. The spinach and goat cheese salad is really fresh and tasty. Justin was excellent in his knowledge of the menu items and helped us select our meals! Will definitely return on my next trip to Panama City Beach…

Have been here twice and was not disappointed. Food is creative and fresh. Atmosphere is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve given this place several chances but it is just not good. The atmosphere is great, the service is good as well but the food… It is always lacking. My wife and I took some friends there and were embarrassed. The flat bread came out cold, my lasagna was not tender or flavorful, and the portions are lacking in comparison to the price.

Sterling Griffin is the best bartender EVER! He’s always friendly, remembers you when you come in and more importantly, he knows what you like… both food and beverage!

My husband, son, and I ate at Travinia a couple of days ago, and were under-impressed. The atmosphere is great. If they were willing to invest that much money into a great location and beautiful décor, why not put more effort into the food and service? First, the olive oil that was served with the complimentary bread tasted a bit«off», like it was on the edge of going rancid. Our Caesar salad was absolutely swimming in dressing. It was tasty, but just too much dressing! Then, we had the roasted chicken flatbread. It was tasteless, and had a weird texture, like it wasn’t fully baked. My son had the sausage and peppers rustica, which was about as tasty as a jar of Ragu with a few slivers of Italian sausage. Plus, the pasta had an odd texture, like it was cooked al dente, but then held at temp. My husband and I shared the veal marsala, which was just«OK». Carraba’s does it *far* better, and cheaper, too. One item we ordered never arrived, but that was fine with us, since we didn’t want any more of their food, nor to pay for it. I seriously hope this restaurant takes these comments as an opportunity to improve.

Awful. Salad had to much dressing. Flat bread was tasteless. Pasta tasted like it was cooked several times. Veal average at best. Our server needed to find a new job, he brought drinks late, did no bring an item we ordered at all. Will not go back, will not recommend.

We just came here with 4 friends. No one liked their entrée. Flatbread was lukewarm in center, lasagne was tough on top, chicken did not taste good. Building is beautiful. We are locals and every time I come here we get B– food, except for the nachos and wine. I keep thinking it’ll get better but it doesn’t. Tonight the first drink choice our waitress offered us was tequila.

Dinner was delicious. We used Unilocal to make our dining decision. The ambiance was lovely. The wait staff were punctual and friendly. I enjoyed the Chicken Sinatra and Italian nachos. I would order both again but there are definitely more items on the menu I would like to try.

Qualifier: didn’t have a full meal. Had wine, appetizers, and garlic bread at the bar, served by Terri during Happy Hour. She was slammed with orders from restaurant patrons when I arrived, but after that I had impeccable service. Her advice on wine by the glass was spot-on. The Happy app I had was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.

I have eaten at Travinia on numerous occasions since it opened. The décor is pleasant and brings back memories of family owned Italian restaurants with photos of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Marilyn Monroe, etc. posted on the walls and Sinatra era music pumped through the sound system. The actual music may depend more on the staff at the time; yesterday when eating there the music had reverted to a more modern style music with loud, high pitched singing and indecipherable lyrics. That may be a new innovation or just my bad luck with the person selecting the music at that time. The food is generally excellent. There is an extensive wine list, and food choices range from more traditional Italian dishes to pizza, salads, and a good selection of appetizers. I frequently order the chicken piccata which is excellent, the chicken is usually(not always) pounded so it is very tender the the Italian spices will linger with the memory of a good wine and a delicious meal. The spaghetti bolognese is also excellent. It is spicy, a generous serving(particularly in the evening) and always worthwhile. The pasta fagoli soup is usually lacking; the spices always seem out of whack from what a traditional Italian restaurant soup like this should taste like. I have tried it on two occasions about two months apart and it has always been disappointing. Overall, a good choice for a good Italian meal. It is also next to the Carmike Cinema so conveniently located for dinner or wine before or after a show there.

The open pit fireplaces lured my wife and I here for a drink before our movie, and we were impressed. Mind you, I only had one drink, though the staff was polite and welcoming even so, and the seats near an open fire — heck, I’d have to wonder if they serve s’mores and hot cocoa… if not, maybe they should! At any rate, I’d say stop by if you get the chance. It’s worth it, even if only for the unique experience of an outdoor seat by the fire with a drink in your hand and polite conversation. Cheers!

Great food and great atmosphere. The meals were reasonably priced and the service was impeccable, and that is saying a lot for this area. Our server was David, he was very attentive and took the time to answer our questions.

Arrived at 8:45pm on a Thursday night. Website says open until 10pm. We were told… sorry kitchen closes at 9pm… it’s our slow season. We had one family member who couldn’t get to Travinia until 9pm. Needless to say, we left. Very frustrating. Either honor your posted hpurs or post slow season hours. Will not be back.

Found this restaurant using Unilocal.Very well decorated restaurant. I tried the shrimp bisque soup and it was great. Also waitress suggested putting blackened shrimp on the Small plate(appetizer) Baby Portabella Mushroom Ragu. That was perfect. And I ended up having that as my main course sense so filling. Thank you, will be back. Thank you Michelle, Server, for recommendation and perfect dinner.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our lunch. Great food, good service, nice atmosphere and decent prices. I got the shrimp massina and my husband got the chicken scaloppine and we both enjoyed a Caesar salad. I gave my husband a bite of mine so he let me try his. I told him it was delicious… he replied«you can like it but don’t make your home here». I had never heard that before… he said it means«get your fork off my plate you can’t have it».! Lol. That’s ok because mine was Divine !!

Finally gave this place another try and I’m so glad I did! Much better experience — food was so much better and the beer is still just as cold! The Chicken Piccata was excellent this time. The service was great — Stephanie took awesome care of our table, and the manager, Matt, was very gracious to us. We will definitely go back!

What a wonderful wonderful meal, and I am sad I waited so long to review it. Came here while on vacation with my husband for our year anniversary. The ambiance is beautiful. Dim lighting, hopping bar area, comfy booths. The Unilocal check in free Italian nachos were delicious. All the food we ordered was absolutely perfect. We got a tiramisu cake that was fantastiic that night and ever better the next night. Every bit of my meal had me oowing and aahing. Only wish I lived far far closer so I could visit again.

One reviewer said this was Olive Garden with good design. I trust that reviewers eyes, but not their taste. From the Italian Nachos to the Tiramisu, my wife and I delighted in each item. She even ordered an extra order of sauce to put atop the remaining noodles from the Veal Parm. On an island overrun by chains, this was a welcome reprieve.

We love this place! Finally decided to do a review after visiting several times. First of all, two tips: 1) Ladies, they frequently have«winey chicks» nights. You pay $ 35(I think. It may be $ 30?) for a four course sampler menu with a complementary glass of wine with each course. Amazing value, and you get to try new things! 2) CHECKINON UnilocalHERE. We received free nachos with our meal tonight for checking in. The nachos were amazing! They’re made up of chips, black olives, tomatoes, scallions, sausage, banana peppers and a fantastic cheese sauce. Seriously these were awesome! We came on Wednesday, which is half off martini night(4p-8p), making them $ 4.99 each. Amazing deal! My mom had the pineapple breeze and loved it. I had the Italian Honey(jack Daniels honey, tuaca, and Italian soda). Delicious! Tuesdays are 25% wine nights. Sundays are $ 4 sangria. Monday thru Friday, they have happy hour 3 – 7 with special priced appetizers and $ 1 off wine and beer. For entrees, my mom had the chicken saltimbocca, which she always has and loves. My dad had the roasted chicken. It comes with a hearty portion of chicken and garlic mashed potatoes. I had the short rib rigatoni. I love this dish! It’s unique and always well executed. The short rib is so tender. It comes with a Bolognese sauce and a bit of mascarpone cream, which is my favorite part. Overall, you can’t go wrong here. Entrees are priced essentially between $ 12 – 29, so some entrees are a bit on the pricey side, but there is consistently great quality and service. Everyone is knowledgable and helpful. Don’t forget to check out the three fire pits outside and spacious patio seating!
