Mountain Taekwondo

Mountain Teakwondo is a top notch place. Everything about the place is excellent from the studio itself always tidy and well air conditioned to Sonya the Manager/​Instructor who is both friendly and super organized and lastly to the incredibly talented Master Mountain. Master Mountain is truly a master with kids of all ages, his lighthearted personality combined with skill is near perfection. They also offer 5 star birthday party’s too!

Can’t say enough about the people who run this place. It’s more than an education, these people truly look you in the eye and engage you. The way they communicate to the children students is absolutely amazing — not just during lessons, but when they arrive & leave.
The Master and Sonja are firm but very entertaining and funny, always keeping the kids’ attention & enthusiasm. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

I could not say enough great things about this place.
First, Master Mountain and Sonya are genuinely wonderful people. They are polite and friendly, and wonderful to be around.
Master Mountain runs an amazing class. He is constantly challenging the kids, not just with Taekwondo but also with discipline, respect and good sportsmanship. He makes them think, listen, respect each other, and also build the discipline of good sports training. He does all of this with a gentle hand, humor in the class, and the mutual respect we want our kids to have. He has them laughing, sweating, thinking, learning, and growing as people. He is an amazing instructor who embodies the best of what we could even hope for in a martial arts instructor. That, and he is not building automatons… he is teaching them real values and to think for themselves.
Master Sonya is also a true gem. She is so polite and friendly, and also an excellent instructor. My wife in particular finds her to be genuinely wonderful, and she is tough on new people!
Master Sonya and Master Mountain treat everyone with patience, respect, and kindness. If you had told me two months ago my daughter would be in Taekwondo, I would have laughed and thought it a silly distraction for a few months. Today, my sincere hope is she spends the next decade under their wonderful tutelage learning not just Taekwondo; but, also how to be a better person. They have a trial program that includes the uniform. I would suggest to everyone who has kids to try it… I bet you will become as big of a fan as we are!!!

Love love love Mountain Taekwondo. Master Mountain and Instructor Sonya have been incredibly helpful from the very start. I learned of their opening through a Facebook group, so I sent an email inquiring on the trial program and to see if they would accommodate my son; who has speech delay. Fortunately they said yes! I was thrilled to get him rolling on something something new. Our son doesn’t do well with new faces, places nor could he follow instructions well. So the first day was a bit rough, he didn’t want to have anything to do with it. We came back the following week, and this time he had so much fun! That just goes to show how caring the staff is here.
The kids classes are cute and fun. All of the kids I’ve seen come here have such a blast. Including my hard to convince booger. I recommend this place for anyone looking into something new.
