My wife and I had taken a couple of hot yoga/pilates classes. We thought we knew what to expect, but Dahn was very different from our past experiences and pleasantly so. It is very slow-paced, but that’s not to say that the experience isn’t thorough. They definitely encourage you to concentrate on the poses/exercises and understand what your body is telling you as you do them. Ten minutes into the session I was thinking that the class wasn’t intensive enough, but by the end I was a convert. The wooden pillow is a special experience!

Perhaps the yoga form offered here isn’t my cup of tea but it was VERY slow paced(and this is coming from a yoga noob!) and not at all what I expected.

Awesome place. I went in stiff and stressed and came out all blissed out. FYI First of all, it’s not like gym yoga(thank god). There is no onslaught of lululemon-ites who mostly just come to check out their butts in the mirror.(yeah, I do my best to steer clear of THOSE yoga classes, thank you very much) I liked that there were people of all different ages and body types and that you could push yourself if you needed to, or take it easy if something was hard. There was no pressure to do it exactly RIGHT or to overdo it(important! too many people get injured like that!) The instructor was AMAZING. She is really funny and energetic, and that made the whole experience that much more fun. Seriously. She had me laughing in the middle of yoga! Ha! The exercises were definitely different but they felt great! If you’ve never done«body tapping» then you’re in for a really fun first experience. Imagine you are a drum, and your hands are the sticks. You sort of drum around on your body wherever you feel tight and it gets the blood moving and such. It has to be experienced. I left clear headed and loosened up and even found myself smiling on the way home. Definitely will be back.
