I liked this place a lot. Their green curry is awesome! Cute little place outside of Moab. If we pass through Moab again around lunch time, I’ll stop here!

Surprise thai find in Moab! Restaurant was(unfortunately) empty when we arrived, but I’m glad we trusted the other reviews! Food was Great! Fresh spring rolls and fried spring rolls were a great appetizer, and the sushi and basil fried rice(spicy scale #2 was PLENTY) were absolutely delicious! I’ll attribute the lack of crowd to the slightly-out-of-the-way location and the lack of alcohol… but DEFINITELY worth a visit for delicious thai food!

Really, really good Thai food. We had the wonton and Tom Kah soup and gyoza to start. Service isn’t the best– I would have preferred gyoza steamed but I forgot when I ordered and the server forgot to ask. We thought they had forgotten the mango curry which came out WAY after the drunken noodles. The good news is… I know what I am having for breakfast The flavors are great– we got mild heat which was super duper mild– if I did it again, I would have asked for some sriracha but always better to be too mild than too hot. So I rate a solid 4– normally I would take off a star for service, but in this case it gets added back on because this gem is in Moab of all places! Also another plus, on the far outside of town, so last night we missed the craziness of the car show in town. Good stuff– check it out!

The ambiance was great and the food was delicious. We went at lunch and had the Vegas roll and the beef teriyaki bent box with a tempura shrimp roll and miso soup. I loved every bite. The cost was good on the lunch special menu. Otherwise it would have been way to much.

We have been visiting Moab for the past week and have tried all three of the Thai Places in town. Based upon three meals the Bangkok House is our Number One for Moab. We have enjoyed Red Curry, Green Curry, Beef with basil and most recently a fantastic Mango Curry. The atmosphere is pleasant, the watress is amazing, the prices are very reasonable and the food is wonderful. Say no more — drive directly(several miles south of town on the right side) to the Bangkok House for a superb Thai Meal.

Honestly, the food would be closer to 3, maybe 3−½ stars. From the appetizers I thought the place was a winner. But the meals were pretty tasteless and the existent flavors weren’t quite authentic tasting. The service lacked even more so. It took until we got up to walk out before we were waited on. The guy wasn’t busy he acted as a host as very few customers were there at the time. It took 20min just to get their attention to order. I was ready to call them and order from my phone while seated in their establishment.

We ordered from the lunch menu, Red Curry and Drunken noodles. Each lunch portion came with a little soup(salty) and one egg roll cut in half. The food and service was okay, but not good enough that I would like to come back.

It’s Moab… what are the chances to find extremely good Thai food? We’re from LA, so there’s a lot to compare to. But, I must say that the flavors were pretty good. If you’re craving Thai and you’re in town, then this is your best bet! In comparison to LA, the portions here are tiny and pricey, so be prepared. Our server was extremely nice though and helped us with planning the rest of our stay in Moab. Thank you!

After a long hike around Arches National Park, we found Bangkok House on Unilocal.Generally, Asian food in a touristy town has often left us disappointed. BH however, was a wonderful surprise. Our meal consisted of crab fried rice, mango curry with chicken, wonton soup, Tom kha soup with shrimp, sushi dragon and samurai rolls. Except for the Tom kha soup, all of the other dishes were delicious. Our waiter was friendly and our food served quickly. We appreciate BH for staying open, after their business hrs, and not rushing us. Great food and awesome service.

Best Thai food in Moab, it’s a little out of town, but it’s worth the excursion. The only improvement could be a liquor license– but you won’t have to worry about who drives home!

I don’t know how you are suppose to find this place. We accidentally came across this restaurant after driving through Moab looking for a place to eat lunch. Great food, amazing service and enjoyable lunch. Definitely recommend!

Really good food. I was a little worried when I walked in and it was empty. Thought I was going to get week old food. But everything was perfect. The tom kha soup was amazing

The food was pretty good — though not authentic Thai or Japanese. The crab Rangoon, the plated shrimp and the garden roll were amazing appetizers. The spicy scallops sushi and the Bangkok fried rice with shrimp were very delicious as well. The only issue we had with this place was the service — the food took painstakingly long time to come and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. they can definitely improve on that!

Once again, big thanks to my fellow Unilocalers. Because of you, we did not need to succumb to another booooorrrring meal. Bangkok House served authentic Thai dishes and we were very impressed with the flavoring. I loved the Tom Khai(Lemongrass coconut milk soup). I was told this dish is difficult to make at home. I shall leave it to the Professionals and Thai grandmas. Everyone flavors them slightly different. The soup looks white and creamy because of the coconut milk, but its not thick and rich like cream soups. The broth is actually light and flavorful. I ordered a bowl of unsweetened sticky rice and pour the soup over. Crispy Duck Salad: The ducks were nice and crispy and *pause*wipe drool* just look at my picture… Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango: they used the green mangos and not the alphonso yellow mango(only available during the Summer), but it was still pretty good. They drizzled coconut milk over the sticky rice. You eat it w/the sweet mango slices. SOGLAD I wore pants with stretchy elastic waistband that night. If you are visiting the Arches National Park do stop by Bangkok House for some authentic Thai lunch/dinner. The lunch menu is limited, but the dinner menu has wider selections. They also serve Japanese foods and has a sushi bar. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

Terrible. We arrived at this restaurant after a long day of hiking in November. We hadn’t eaten much all day, so theoretically any hot meal should have tasted amazing. However, this meal was anything but. We had the Bangkok sampler as an appetizer. The chicken skewers were rubbery and the rest of the appetizers appeared to be typical prepackaged frozen food fried to a crisp. For entrées we had the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Both were flavorless and once again the chicken was over cooked and rubbery. But oddly enough the chicken was cold and the noodles were hot. So it was likely pre-cooked chicken that wasn’t reheated all the way before being tossed with the noodles. The veggies seemed like they were from frozen bags. If you’re a Thai restaurant and you can’t perfect Pad Thai, then chances are the rest of the menu items are going to need work as well. The prices were relatively high as to be expected in a tourist trap. The service was mediocre at best. We were really amazed at all the positive reviews this place had. Either those reviewers had completely different food or they were incredibly hungry. This one of the worst sit down meals I’ve had in years.

So you’re out in the middle of the desert and you’re craving Asian food. You find Bangkok House on Unilocal and you’re thinking, «Thai food in Moab? Must be trippin’.» But after a long and strenuous day of hiking in Arches National Park, logic and rationale are not your guiding principles. Hunger pangs are. So, you pull up to Bangkok House’s parking lot on the south end of town and you set your expectations accordingly. I’m not sure if it’s due to the fact that we were ravished humans, but my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bangkok House. We were both hesitant since any sort of ethnic food in a touristy little town in the middle of nowhere can be a recipe for disaster. Yet, Bangkok was a pleasant surprise. I’ll cover the no bueno points first. What do all tired and hangry hikers fancy? BEER. Unfortunately, Bangkok House doesn’t have a liquor license so no alcohol here. Next, after perusing the menu, my boyfriend and I couldn’t find the coconut rice or Thai fish cakes. Both items are staples on any Thai menu. We waved over the waiter and asked if they served coconut rice. Although I think he was Thai(well, at least Asian), he had zero clue what we were asking for. My partner tried to explain that it’s a sweet rice and the waiter was like«Oh! You mean sticky rice?» No, that’s not what we mean. We gave up on trying to explain what coconut rice was. We were legitimately concerned about the fate of our meal since the employees here had to be schooled on coconut rice. Nonetheless, we proceeded to order the following: *Crispy Spring Rolls — mix vegetables, clear noodles, with sweet & sour sauce *Pumpkin Curry — pumpkin, bell peppers, basil, coconut milk, and pork *Pad See Ew — sautéed flat rice noodle with broccoli, carrots, eggs, and chicken in sweet brown sauce *Mango sticky rice for dessert We opted for spring rolls as our appetizer(since BH doesn’t offer fish cakes). The rolls were decent and resembled your typical veggie egg rolls. For our entrees, we selected the pumpkin curry with pork and pad see ew with chicken. Both dishes were surprisingly good! The curry was creamy with warm spices that mirrored curries I’ve had at other Thai restaurants not in the middle of a desert. The pumpkin was tender with a subtle sweetness. Now to the pad see ew. This was a wonderful rendition of my favorite Thai noodle dish. The noodles were soft and chewy but not soggy or clumped together. I loved the flavors. The noodles took on a rich, smoky, almost charred flavor with hints of sweet soy sauce. Rather than Chinese broccoli, BH’s pad see ew is cooked with broccoli and cauliflower. Still delicious! All the ingredients in our dishes tasted fresh. However, the meat in our curry and pad see ew was tough, probably because they were overcooked. To end our meal, we had the mango sticky rice which was drowning in coconut milk. The mango wasn’t ripe enough but this was still a solid dish. BH is truly a hidden gem in Moab. The flavors are as authentic as you can find in the desert. The price/portions ratio is acceptable, especially for a tourist town. Plus, the service is really friendly. One of the best meals I had in Moab!

Great food, great and friendly staff, tons of parking, few minutes from downtown. We had peanut salmon — excellent, green curry — really good and garden veggie rolls — fresh with excellent peanut sause. Definitely would be back and highly recommend!

On the FAR south side of town in a remodeled Mexican restaurant is this Thai place. The panang curry was flavored well and came with a hefty price tag in this tourist trap of Moab. $ 15 was my bill for vegetables only. A huge disappointment was the brown rice. It was dried out, making me think it was at least two days old. Had I not ordered take-out, I would have complained and asked for a refund. Also, the portion of rice was barely ¾ of a cup. Come on! Rice is cheap!

Our vegan family was in Moab for two nights and after trying the veggies stir fry and Thai Massaman veggie curry which was extremely delicious, came back the next night and tried the yakisoba with veggies and tofu… probably the best yakisoba I have eaten! Very flavorful and the soba noodles were perfect! Agree with other Unilocalers on the location on the south end of Moab… well worth the extra mile but keep your eyes open as you drive down the highway! Would love to dine here again on a future visit to Moab!

This wasn’t a memorable meal in any way. Our appetizers were tasty(crispy spring roll and seaweed salad) but the entrees were more than mediocre. I had much better Drunken Noodle in the past(at almost every other Thai restaurant I had been to all over the US). The noodles were very thin and it tasted like they hardly seasoned the dish, it was all very bland. On a positive note the value was good for Moab. Portions were big for the price.
