I purchased a rod from them in June and it broke 2 months later. The manager said there was nothing he could do because I didn’t purchase an extended warranty. The gander mountain branded rod comes with a 1 year warranty. Gander Mountains website will not allow you to post a negative review on their products. They claim its the 3rd party review company that is to blame. If you want a rod go to academy. They will honor a warranty.

I like this store and glad one has opened in West Mobile on Schillinger road.
Gander Mountain sells items such as fishing supply, guns, archery, men and women’s clothing. Brands such as Columbia, North Face, and Under Armour just to mention a few.
The guns and ammo section is a huge. They carry everything gun related, even Liberty gun safes. There is even a section for «like new» guns
I am sure there is something for somebody at this store. The parking lot can get full at times so be patient.

Was not really sure what to expect being I have never been to another Gander Mtn. location. It is a big yet small store if you can grasp my meaning. The open floor plan allows you to see from one wall to the other. Although I say it is small there is a lot to look at. The store is clean but they have only been open a week.
