Love the Bionico, it’s a new place for me and my girl. We just moved to this side of Modesto and discovered this great place. We usually head towards the flea market to get these Latino deserts, after discovering this place there is no need to go that far crowslanding, plus the price here is much cheaper. For those who have not had any Mexican deserts or ice creams I highly recommend this place. Try the Mangonada which is like a mango ice cream with a little spice, or the Bionico which is a very tasty fruit salad with coconut.

WOW! Kicken my self in the pants for not stopping here sooner. It’s right down the street for me and always think to myself, I’ll stop one day to try it out. Today was the day, thought I’d stop with my daughter after I picked her up from school. WOW! Homemade ice-cream and popsicles. My daughter decided on the mango sorbet. It was amazing! Tasted like you were eating fresh frozen mango, so delicious! I wanted the Dulce de leacha and he said he didn’t make that kind today but it had caramel in it. I tried it and WOW, I was like make that a double scoop! HAHA! Can’t wait to go back and try the other flavors and the popsicles too!

I have passed this place a few times with intentions on checking it out. FINALLY did and yes ma’am I’m in love. Hand made ice cream and fresh fruit had me going back for seconds. This local family business can not be compared to other paleterias in the surrounding areas, they are in a league of there own.

Great family business! I love their mangonadas. Some places blend everything but here you get their self-made mango ice cream, cut up mangoes and juice with the perfect amount of chamoy. I’m craving one right now! haha

Amazing service, great prices. He makes his ice cream and the flavor are amazing. I ordered a smoothie for the first time and it was delicious, made only from fruit. He cut up all the fruit(fresh not frozen) so delicious and healthy. Why go to a large chain like jama or cold stones, when this local ice cream place makes his product and at an amazing price. 2 $ for ice cream cup and 5 $ for a large smoothie:) I drive 30 min just for this place

Frosty, delicious paletas are made daily in small batches. Smooooooth ice creams. The coconut ice cream is the best I’ve ever had, and I had no idea that guava could be so tasty. The owners are super nice, and proudly explain the flavors and ingredients. A great place to stop on a hot summer night in Modesto. I’ll be back!

This place is worth a trip to Modesto in and of itself. Hidden in a sad little strip mall, this Latin American gourmet ice cream and shaved ice parlor is absolutely the best of its kind anywhere. No joke! The homemade ice creams, ices, and ice pops come in both traditional and unusual flavors such as corn, cucumber and chile, and a variety of tropical fruits. Fresh mangos and other fruits are peeled to order and added to their fantastical concoctions along with tamarind, chile powder, and even a dash of hot sauce if you want it. Or you can just get delicious scoops of ice cream or sorbet. This family business is well-lit, sparkly clean, and super friendly. Bravo!

Authentic Mexican style ice cream parlor with lots of great unique flavors to choose from. Ice cream, raspados, bionicos, ice cream bars, fruit bars, pico de gallo, fresh fruit dishes, juices, and more. Very friendly owner. We found this place by accident, but will definitely be back for more.

Stumbled upon this place after my first time checking out We’s donuts tonight(very yummy btw). I saw the sign for homemade ice-cream and fruit Popsicles and couldn’t resist! Cute little place with super friendly owner! I tried many samples, all delicious– so far fav ice cream is blueberry cheesecake and chocolate– the blueberry had hint of lemon– so yummy! He explained the Popsicle flavors and showed pictures of the fruits that were not common– great idea! Very nice and colorful menu, I def will be going back! Happy I stumbled upon this place-will be great in the summer after a walk at dry creek park! It is great to have a nice family owned business making tasty treats– let’s keep businesses like this in Modesto!

Girasol’s is simply the best. My wife and I make a point to stop in for ice cream when ever we are in Modesto. I only wish they were closer to our home town of Long Beach CA. We were there tonight. The chocolate ice cream is fantastic and the salted Carmel ice cream was perfection. Everything we have ever had there is fabulous.

A friend of mine who lives nearby told me about this place and we decided to check it out one day. The shop is relatively new(a couple of months, I think?). We were greeted with smiles from the owner and his wife and offered samples of anything we wanted to try. The owner was really eager to help us out and extremely friendly. The shop has a nice set up with a new Clover point-of-sale register, all the ice creams displayed for the customer, a nice, large menu, and a group of tables tucked away in a corner for customers who may want to relax in the well-ventilated shop on a hot summer day. I’ve been here twice so far. The first time I tried a mangonada and the second time a scoop of coconut and elote(corn) ice cream. The mangonada was large well-presented and the coconut ice cream had a heap of shredded coconut in every bite. I definitely recommend people check this place out this summer, you won’t be disappointed. I truly hope this place does good, because it definitely deserves to.
