I gave an extra star because the food is good, this review is not on the food. I went in to have lunch with my daughter and they only had one high chair which was in use. If you have a toddler, you know how important a high chair is to enjoy a meal. I will say, I ordered a sandwich with arugula and they gave me spinach! I couldn’t even complain because I had my hands full with my daughter. If you’re going to open a business in a family friendly city, you’d better be open to customers with families and be able to accommodate those families. If the experience isn’t enjoyable, why go back. I mean, what kind of place only has ONE high chair! There were several kids in there! Parents cannot enjoy unless they are the only ones eating in the restaurant and can claim that high chair! Also it seems like there is always a long wait at the counter! I’ll see people walking by without even acknowledging me and letting me know they’ll be right with me, nope. They just walk on by and continue doing what they do until they are good and ready to take the order.

If you take a perfectly good quiche and microwave it, the crust becomes so tough you can’t cut it. That’s what I had this morning at Green’s Table on Bangs. It didn’t used to be that way. I would go just for the quiche because it was outstanding and properly warmed. The service has also declined. We waited at the counter for several minutes before being waited on, and there were only tow other parties in the place. I want this place to do well, but they aren’t earning my business. I called to speak with a manger before posting this review, but the nice young lady told me there wan’t one there. Maybe that’s part of the problem.

This is a hidden away gem! We heard about Greens Table from friends. When you walk into this place it smells wonderful! The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The service is exceptional and the employee’s are polite and helpful. The food is delicious! I highly recommend Greens Table!

Been here a couple times. Unimpressed. Food is good, but unfortunately always short handed and no preparation of staff and dining area. No supervision or attention from staff. You’re on your own…

Decent, fresh, and tasty food. Coffee was meh, weak but not bad tasting. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich, it was a smaller portion but did the job. We will come back — I would like to try more menu items.

I work across the street from this restaurant and have always just driven by. But the other day I decided to take some friends here and all of us loved the food! The sandwiches were perfect and even the simple mixed greens were better than most salads I’ve had. And to top it off, the price for three of us was just over twenty dollars! I will definitely be making this my replacement for fast food and eating here much more often.

Went there for breakfast. Had their wrap with egg whites, feta, sundried tomatoes, and spinach. Dee-lish! Service was quick and friendly. Very affordable menu. Spacious with lots of tables. They have a great lunch menu as well, which I will definitely try the next time I am in there. This restaurant has all the makings of a place I’d like to frequent. It is out of the way on Bangs Avenue, off of McHenry. Definitely worth venturing over to this place.

Hard to argue that the food isn’t clean and high quality. It’s very good. My only beef would be with the portion sizes — seems like I’m always hungry when I leave. Also I had a mocha there and it was by far the most overly sweet espresso drink I’ve ever had. Tone down the sugar please!

Decent food, horrible service. I waited 30 minutes for food to find out that the order never processed in their system.

I ordered a cake for a baby shower with Judy. It was her idea to try and make it similar to the invitation. I was very happy with the outcome! I will be ordering cakes from Green’s Table again!

I feel like I am always waiting for counter service. Need to step it up. They carry delicious quiche, but not worth the wait. I love their ham & cheese croissants but their dismal customer service doesn’t have me knocking at their door.

Ordered two sandwiches and two drinks to go. Simple enough, but it took a long time just to ring up my order. After 15 minutes of waiting I had to go up and ask for my order(which was sitting there behind the counter!) right away I noticed one drink was wrong, so they fixed that(I should have checked the bag of food at this point but I didn’t). Get home to find they had given me a hamburger instead of the chicken salad sandwich! Come on Greens get it together! The food is good but the service needs help!

First time here, tried the turkey club sandwich, more than I could eat. Comfortable seating, friendly environment, will be back to try the paste ties next time

I would say really a solid 3.5 but I’ll settle for a 4. I had the scramble with egg whites, ham, cheddar, spinach, mushrooms and onions. It doesn’t come with potatoes and surprise — they don’t have potatoes on the weekdays? Weird. The scramble only comes with two eggs(skimpy). I ordered another egg though. And it doesn’t come with toast either so I ordered sour dough(it was good — I think it was a brioche roll). The only bread they had was wheat or white and NOT homemade which I thought was strange because this is promoted as a farm to table restaurant — right? But the lady at the counter said the bread was basically the same as what you buy at the grocery store(disappointing!). She did say they sometimes have homemade bread on the weekend(too bad for those people eating here during the week I guess!). My scramble was tasty and the brioche sour roll was good. My latte was good, nothing to write home about but not bad either. The staff was accommodating and when I asked for extra jam and butter, brought it no problem. I mentioned to the lady at the counter that there were a lot of tables with dirty dishes when I walked it which was unexpected and not inviting — she told me they just finished their lunch rush. Lots of people working but I guess not enough to be quick to clean the tables. Although all the workers, except the lady taking the orders were running around in a hurry. I would try the lunch menu next time because I saw other orders coming out that looked good. It has a very open, airy, comfy atmosphere and not too loud, so it’s good for breakfast or lunch with a friend to catch up.

Visited 1÷18÷16. Went back here to eat breakfast while getting car service. Food was good, they had no sausage that day so I can’t update my previous comment on that. My wife’s breakfast scramble was good. Prep was a little less refined than in years past(whole bacon pieces rather than chopped in a breakfast scramble?) but still tasty. Glad to see one of my old fav breakfast places begin to right the ship.

Wow! This place is great!!! It has this unique«home-y» feel and the food was so great!!! My salad was very delicious and I haven’t seen my sister eat any sandwiches besides the ones from Safeway deli and when I asked her about the sandwich/burger she had here… She said it was by far her absolute favorite. Highly recommended!

Every time I’m in Modesto this is a spot for a great, healthy meal. The overall ambiance of the place is a little sterile and often at lunch(around 1:30p) the counter glass display cases are empty. It would be nice to see some different foods in there, may help to change the appeal of the place. Now that is the only negative here. The staff is warm and friendly and super enthusiastic about the place they work. I have had their southwest salad before which was delicious, and just last time I did the build your own burger option which lets you select from multiple meats, buns, condiments and cheeses. The meat was super flavorful and cooked to perfection(medium). The price for this selection wasn’t bad at all considering what you’d pay at a place like The Counter to build your own burger. My boss had the quiche and he was in egg heaven to be sure. They also have adult sodas like pomegranate flavored and so on. My boss got this one and he liked it, made him feel like a kid again. This place will continue to be a staple for me and it’s a nice organic healthy break from the Mexican food overload in Modesto!!!

This is my second time here and I really want to like this place. The food is good, I’ve had a sandwich and the Caesar salad. But today’s visit left a bad taste in my mouth, literally. I ordered a diet soda with my salad, they poured some in a cup and then gave me the can. My dad and I sit down and I take a sip and it doesn’t taste right, very bitter and sour. I look at the can and the expiration date says Jun 162014… It expired in 2014. I told the woman working the counter and she got me a new one and was very nice about it(as she should be). I’m undecided if I will be going back, I really like the food but today I just left with a bad experience.
