There are a few big city staples Modesto lacks, but thank goodness Boba isn’t one of them! This is your standard bubble tea joint plus a few hot tea options, add in jellies, and standard american chinese foods(chow mein, honey walnut prawns etc). I usually opt for a small taro milk bubble tea for 2.50, and the bubbles have been soft and on point each time. Service is friendly and there are a variety of straw colors for adults who still get excited about dumb shizz like I do. Five stars for service and quality, but four stars for options compared to Bay area Boba joints.

Great customer service I have to say! I Order combination number 3. Half and half. Fried rice was ok and chow Mein was dry. Chicken asparagus was just way too salty! My coworker for the broccoli and shrimp And she said it’s too salty too! so if you like salty food this place is your kind of place!

Sooooo good!!! Love love love the wonton soup. Everything tastes so fresh and not salty. Love the combination fried rice, sweat and sour chicken, haven’t tried their phở but just ordered it about to go pick it up but I imagine it’s amazing also! Oh and I loveeee their Thai tea. One of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had!

Came here on Mother’s Day during my lunch break and it was a decent surprise for me to find several people dining here. I had the combination #3 and it was a much larger portion than I thought it would be. I know that the food was made fresh because you can see the kitchen as you walk in and I could hear my orange chicken frying in oil. The orange chicken had a good sauce and the batter wasn’t heavy at all. With the combination #3, I had the option of chow mein or fried rice and elected to go with the noodles. To my surprise, the noodles weren’t oily at all and had pieces of chicken in it. My meal came with Egg Drop Soup and again, I was shocked to find that it was better than mediocre. The last component of my meal was the egg roll and that didn’t disappoint either as it had a really crispy exterior and the standard cabbage/carrots inside. Don’t let the place fool you as it is in the corner of a strip mall and the person taking your order is Caucasian. At establishments like these, you would expect the worker to just give you your food and then leave. However, the gentleman actually checked up on me and always asked if there was anything else I needed. This place is definitely better than your Chinese fast food chain.

I tried the hazelnut milk tea — first time ever trying that flavor anywhere — I think it’s become one of my favorites. It was perfectly sweetened. I also ordered some cream cheese Rangoon. Those were delicious! I didn’t know that it had bits of crab in it but it was extremely tasty. The staff was really nice and welcoming. I will definitely be back.

This is the BEST place to get milk tea in Modesto. It’s on par with cafes in the bay area. Their price is reasonable and they’re generous with the jelly. Not to mention the actual drink is so good! My usual is regular milk tea with mango jelly. If I had to choose between Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and One Cup Café, I would definitely come to OCC for that milk tea! Their taro smoothie is also really good. Don’t ever go to T-Cups Café in downtown Modesto, their drinks suck and their food is below average. I’ve tried the taro smoothie twice at T-Cups and it’s by far the worst I’ve ever had. Their customer service is either bad or mediocre depending on who’s there. On the other hand, the people working in One Cup Café is always friendly, patient, and helpful. Will keep coming here for my milk tea cravings.

The lychee smoothie with lychee jelly that I ordered was delicious! Unfortunately, the Thai tea that I also ordered was not sweetened. Usually when I order Thai tea it is pre-sweetened this one tasted like they forgot to sweeten it. I was pretty disappointed :(.

Pot stickers were delicious! The tea drink was awkward and had a bad after taste. Definitely a small cute little place

My son and I walked in, man behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge us. No eye contact nothing. He wasn’t even busy. We stood there for about a minute, and walked out. First time there and the last.

A small piece of heaven in modesto if you love milktea. They give you an option if you want sweeter or just mild. This place is near to costco, in n out, panda express, lowe’s, and more stores which is convenient.

Food’s not bad. Too bad fish noodle doesn’t come with yellow noodle but flat rice noodle. Also no pepper chicken but nice selection of milk and shake boba drinks.(No durian). Price: not bad Service: fast(small mom n pop) Quality: good Will I return: yes, not gir the food but definitely the boba shakes. Limited selection to get my boba fix.

New owner is definitely trying to build a loyal customer base. My wife said she walked her out to the car to make sure she didn’t spill the soup. She was also apparently very accommodating. The fried rice needed some sriracha, but it was definitely good and not too oily. The egg soup was excellent, as well as the sweet and sour pork. I will be trying the green beans and chicken at some point as there were plenty of leftovers. They DID forget my side of lychee jelly for my Jasmine Milk Tea drink, but if their service continues to be exemplary then I can forgive a little mistake this one time.

Since my first time coming to this place I have been a repeat customer for the delicious food and excellent customer service. Mary(the owner) treats everyone like family and makes it her purpose to get to know you individually. This has become my to go boba place on Friday nights with my friends. We come here every week and get the same great service. My usual meal here is the beef chow fun, but with lent currently going on Mary happily allows me to get shrimp chow fun instead at the same price. She’s also given me a free drink every so often or discounted our meals for special occasions like Chinese New Year. Since we come from Turlock, my friends and I sometimes stay past closing hours, but Mary has no complaint about it. She’s genuinely one of the friendliest business owners I’ve ever met. I’m really glad to have found this place. Recently she added TVs to the small shop that plays Chinese TV shows, which adds a really nicely to the décor. Come here and you won’t be disappointed!

It’s a really small place. And there was one employee who manages the front taking orders, making the drinks and serving. But she was really nice! I had beef chow fun and my sister got a combo plate which came with soup, chow mien and some beef stir fried for under $ 9! Our food was more than enough for 5 people. It was worth it.

I don’t like American-ized Asian food. I go out of my way to avoid most of these places. This was an unexpected surprise after several letdowns. A sign outside said«Grand Opening». The woman behind the counter asked me if I wanted a drink or food, and I told her«food», since lunch time is always a good time for food. She said to sit anywhere, and brought a menu. I was trying to guess what a few of the menu items were. Without the Chinese, it is really difficult to know which are which. She got me the take out menu, which included the Chinese. Under Seafood and Wonton Soup/Noodle Soup, they had some authentic Chinese dishes, such as Beef Stewed Noodle Soup and Salt & Pepper Fish. I chose the Salt & Pepper Fish, as she delivered my iced tea. I got the feeling that they don’t have many Asian customers. I continued to look over the menu – they have a large number of available drinks. After an appropriate length of time, she brought white rice and the fish dish. She asked if I wanted chopsticks – again, the lack of Asians. I would have thought she’d have brought the chopsticks with the food. It was quite good, and the portion was big, to match the price. There were two types of peppers included, not cooked into the fish breading. As i was finishing, she asked if I wanted a drink to take with me. Since I’d been to the Raley’s for Peet’s Coffee on Floyd Avenue early, I wanted to compare the White Chocolate Mocha. It was also quite good. She didn’t charge me for the coffee, as part of their grand re-opening. So, not only did I find a friendly Chinese restaurant, but a new coffee place that’s close to the freeway. Update 2015.03.05: I’ve been to this place several times and I’m confused. The second time I was charged quite a lot extra because I wanted a little bit of steamed rice. The coffee’s taste is in a downward spiral. It’s not horrible but apparently, the young man behind the counter isn’t paying attention except to what’s on the computer’s display. I got some new salmon dish and maybe it’s just me, but it didn’t seem quite right. I could understand the crispy skin, but one breaded piece was under-cooked and seemed to have something colorless and hard in it, as if it was plastic. Maybe, it’s that I’m not feeling well. I just ended up leaving without saying anything. It almost made me gag. Update 2015.03.22: Two days after my visit where I got the fish with something extra, Mary, the owner, sent a message of concern for my well-being. She noticed that I had not eaten most of the food, and that I’d just gone without saying anything. I didn’t know what to say, feeling shocked a bit. In any case, she told me to return and that they’d make me something else instead. I’m still not quite over the incident, and it was dear that she wrote me, worried about how I was feeling. I haven’t had any Chinese food since then, fearing that the distributor of their ingredients was at fault for what happened.

What a great little find! Hidden at the end of a strip mall, this unassuming little café had some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. And NOMSG! The friendly owner/cook said he doesn’t need to use it and he’s right. His food is perfect the way it is. The food is served in large portions for a great price. Everything tasted fresh, not overly salted and cooked perfectly. The meats were tender, rice was fluffy, and sauces were perfect. The staff is friendly with great service. I’d love to come back and try their boba and smoothies next time too.
