I am so happy I decided to come here! the frozen margaritas were strong without the taste of alcohol, which I didn’t want. the steak nachos were phenomenal! ask for steak medium rare and you will get it! they were great with my toddlers, with kid friendly menu options. surprisingly the French fries that we chose for out kid’s meals were amazing. the best fries any of us had actually.(French fries at a Mexican place? YES!) I ordered the steak fajitas and they were also some of the best I’ve ever had. for dessert I had the 3 leches cake which tasted homemade and was delicious. I will absolutely go back and have been raving about it since!

It’s 5 stars but it isn’t cheap. Food is excellent, service is great but it’s pricey for Mexican food.

Came down here for cinco de mayo! The food and atmosphere are very good. I ordered the shrimp app and nachos. They were both tasty. My kid was being very fussy but with all the noise and the live singing it went unnoticed. For dinner I ordered the steak and it came out cooked as I order it and it was good. I’d definitely refer a friend here and will be coming back!

I am not sure if I would classified the food served at Hacienda Sauza as Mexican. The décor is very nice — bright and festive, which made me think, this was the real deal, but sadly it was not the case. Trump may want to re-consider building any walls after eating here. The food was very bland and has zero authentic flavor one might expect from south of the border. I could taste the Campbell soup mix in the tamales, the Hunt’s canned tomatoes in the salsa and probably could have made a better quesadilla myself. Then again the food might just be geared twds a suburban gringo crowd who are used to Taco Bell, hence Hacienda Sauza would be a step up. The fresh guacamole was a nice touch, yet also white washed and blah. Hacienda could do better, much better.

Always friendly service, fresh food and delicious drinks! I’ve gone to many Mexican restaurants in and around Westchester, and this is always near the top of my list of go-to places.

Excellent dinner on a Wednesday night with my husband and a friend. We arrived before 5 because we were going to a movie at 6. Had an appetizer and dinner and were done by 5:50. We had the freshly made guacamole and spinach quesadillas for apps. The guac was very good and the quesadillas had more fresh baby spinach, lightly sauteed, than it had cheese. That was refreshing — usually the cheese is overwhelming. For dinner my husband had the beef fajitas brought to the table still sizzling, my friend had the shrimp and garlic(similar to scampi) and I had the best salmon I have ever had. Really! It is «Salmon Vallarta » on the menu and it is delicious. The salmon was grilled perfectly and it was served with mango salsa which complimented the fish very nicely. We all finished our dinners to the last little grain of rice and were all very pleased. The owner was on site and helped serve with a smile. Service was very good — just took a little longer to take our order, but was still above average. We couldn’t stay for coffee or dessert but that was fine. The meal was satisfying and enjoyable and we will all go back and definitely recommend this place! Adiós!

The food is well made, there is a variety of choices and the service is awesome! The owner is such a nice person, he clearly appreciates his customers and provides great food at a great price. The atmosphere is comfortable, warm and very clean. I have been eating here for at least 7 years, I have even gotten take out several times. I highly recommend this restaurant.

When we can’t get to Guadalajara in Briarcliff, we go to Hacienda Sauza. Those are our #1 and #2 go-to Mexican restaurants in Westchester. Outside of Mexico City, these are my favorite places for Mexican Food(El Lago de Los Cisnes is my favorite place in Mexico City). Hacienda Sauza sometimes has a small Marachi band(usually just two) and they happen to be very good and not overwhelming. They play fun songs for small kids too, on occasion. Definitely get the guacamole and their Margaritas are tasty and potent. Don’t drive yourself if you plan to get one. You won’t be able to drive home.

Descent Mexican food but not great. Changed the menu from when they opened and my favorite dish is no longer on there. Nice staff but don’t speak much English so it’s hard to modify your order. Cramped seating. Great guac they make at your table to your liking. Free chips and salsa on table when you sit down. Good sangria. Definately not my fave Mex place around.

I would have to agree with most of the other reviewers about this restaurant. I’ve been here a few times and found it a bit on the expensive side. The location is not really convenient but there’s plenty of parking. I had the steak and it was prepared properly and very tasty. The appetizers and desserts were very good also. The drink selections were very good and the service was friendly and efficient. Again, my only complaint is that it’s quite expensive.

Very good! The white sangria was tasty. Spinach quesadilla and the skirt steak quesadilla were both fantastic. Guac made at the table was nice and onion-y. Not too many Mexican options are available up here. I will be back for sure. Also, owner gave us a free desert — so nice and it was great, too.

This place is hands down the spot to go… best plates so far«bistec presidente» the steak is very tender made in I think a brandy sauce, the chicken flautas are crispy and very flavorful, kids menu is great… you must try the margaritas on the rocks AMAZING!!! And for desert the caramel flan and the tres Leches cakes are to die for… this place has always been consistent with there food and service… I can’t say any more you must try this place. Stop in on a birthday and get to try on a mariachi sombrero lots of fun!!!

This place has horrible service. The wife and I went in here on a Wednesday night one evening and we didn’t get a server to the table for at least a half hour after being seated. The place was almost a ghost town and the servers were mostly in the back kitchen. When we finally did get our food, it was under cooked. Boy do we miss Cactus Jacks!!!

I’ve lived in Yorktown for over 15 years. I’ve tried other Mexican restaurants in Mahopac and surrounding towns. No question, my family always returns to Hacienda Sauza. Their salsa is delicious, the wait staff is attentive and friendly. My husband LOVES the steak nachos; I LOVE the carne asada poblana. Yum, yum! They make the guacamole fresh and delicious at your table. Their drinks are made just right. I’ve brought many friends to this restaurant and they all leave full and happy!

Originally couldn’t find the restaurant bc the GPS took us a block over. The margarita here were delicious and pretty strong, I will definitely be back for that. I had the pollo boracho with veggies which was delicious but the rice and beans I didn’t like at all. Décor was a very colorful and bright, which I didn’t care for. I will go back but order a salad or something instead of rice and beans.

Hate to be the bearer of bad reviews but it is what it is. Maybe its because I got spoiled by being in lower westchester and manhattan to dine. This mexican place is not my cup of tea. I have eaten at many good mexican/latin places in the past and I know good mexican food. This was not it. The people were nice and the décor had a splash of mexican flavor but not the food. Food was VERY bland and the prices were high. I also have to add both me and the wife had bad stomach aches all night after eating here that night. I hate to write something like that and feel bad, but its the truth. I can tell you whats good mexican food, Rancho Grande in Yonkers and also Vega in Hartsdale, and Casa Maya in Scarsdale. These are real authentic mexican places to eat in which you won’t be disappointed. As for my first mexican experience living up here in Cortlandt Manor. one word = FAIL

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. I liked this place well enough, and would come back the next time I was in the area and in the mood for Mexican. Negatives: It’s a little overpriced, like some of the other reviews say. The chicken is a tad dry and kind of flavorless. The salsa is not that great(runny, bland). Positives: The room is nice and festive. The service is fast and friendly. They also randomly gave us a little dessert on the house at the end, which was a really nice touch and was very good.

Hubby and I ate there last night.(I’ve eaten here many times before.) Decent food and decent service — food comes out within 10 minutes of ordering it(but so does every other Mexican joint). The wait staff stands around and talks until you stare them down or wave them over. I had 2 sodas, enchilads tres amigos, he had 1 beer and the enchiladas suiza. Our bill came to $ 46 not including tip. Eh a bit high in my opinion.
