This Lowes is close to my house and has helpful staff. Except order online and pick up in store or returns always has a long line and the people are so slow, they need to have an extra staff member at the help desk. They seem fairly knowledgeable when my husband has a complicated questions about home repairs. Like the comment below, they have mis-tint paint sometimes really cheap for 4 a gallon. Its the paint that was mixed wrong or the wrong shade the customer didnt like.

Composite over 8 or so years of visits. Lowe’s is my go to store for home and yard stuff. During the spring summer and fall the outdoor section is my favorite. Plants are well maintained; staff has been helpful and friendly. In all the times I have been there I only experienced on staff/service meltdown and that was apparently over a staffing/scheduling error at a peak customer time. All in all, a great store at decent prices. The competition just had a 60 million customer credit card breach… so I will be staying far away from them for a long while. And we thought the Target 40 million customer breach was bad… f8 and be there.

My last review was four stars. My new review is two. Here’s why. I was painting my laundry room and needed some brushes. I wasn’t near a Lowe’s, so I did a .com purchase for three brushes at 11 am. The site mentioned that there is a 20 minute pick up time. You will get a confirmation email stating that the order is ready. So I waited. I waited until four pm. I logged back into my account and saw the order was ready. Would have been nice for the confirmation email. So I printed out the email and sent my wonderful fiancée to pick up the order. Jay waited at the customer service desk for 20 minutes. As he waited, he watched the associates pick the items that were ordered off the shelves and then bring them up to the customer service desk. Why make an order online with 20 minute pick up when it takes 7 hours?!! Well I was ticked. I emailed corporate. Corporate emailed me back. The store manager called me and noted that I would get a 25 dollar gift card for the long wait. I told her I didn’t need a thing but she noted it was their policy to give a 25 dollar gift card for all orders not ready in 20 minutes. I had to pick up my gift card so I went to the store that night. I had some stuff to return from my .com order also. When I stopped at the customer service desk to get the items returned, the associates were fighting amongst each other about another associate that messed up my order. After waiting 10 minutes to get my refund and my gift card, I was then able to go. Lowe’s did great in fixing their mistake. I did not know about the 20 minute rule. I am glad they fixed it. However, the gift card is not going to make up for the bad customer service at the store. Side note: I got my confirmation email that my order was ready 2 days after I made the order.
