I love their flatbreads and may I just say… such delicious, fresh and crisp salads! I got a Caesar salad the last time I ate here and was so pleasantly surprised. The staff is very attentive and super friendly. I thought the food was a good value for the money. A very nice place to stop and refuel after a long day of antique shopping.

They have the best pizza I have ever had in Georgia and their flatbreads are to die for… customer service is always good and friendly like you would expect from a small town café. Also they have large screen tvs for the game, so you don’t have to miss it while you get your eat on. :) A great family atmosphere.

I have eaten here a few times and the atmosphere is nice and welcoming and you can eat outside if you wish or upstairs at the bar if you are so inclined. The food here is usually pretty good albeit somewhat pricey. This review is not really about their food, however, it is just to complain about one of their«promotions,» their $.60 wing Wednesday. We arrived here around 4:00 but didn’t leave until around 5:30 and were charged full price for our 12 wings, $ 12.99 since we supposedly got there before the promotion started at 4:00 and ordered 12 wings instead of 10 which is the increment that most people order them in. A $.60 wing is a $.60 wing and their daily special blackboard just stated that it started at 4:00 and was for dine-in only. If your deal is only good if you order wings in certain multiples then please write that rule out on your huge blackboard but don’t punish your customers for ordering something that the menu only gives you the option of ordering 6 or 12 of. I hope it was worth it for them to lose a customer and for me to write a negative review over the additional $ 5 they made through their wing stipulations and trickery. While I thought I was cheap this place is perhaps even cheaper and don’t count on taking advantage of their daily specials unless you explicitly ask what multiples you are allowed to order in, and even then if your food is priced wrong your server will just argue with you and claim that you are in the wrong, not them. I do not like being taken advantage of by businesses, especially over something so misleading, and if you don’t, either I would caution you from eating here unless you don’t mind being overcharged and taken for every penny you have.

Not much to recommend here. The food is mostly okay most of the time IF they have what you want to order from the menu in stock. Not a lot of atmosphere downstairs but it’s pleasant enough. The upstairs(not handicap accessible) is pretty grungy. The pizza can be good or it can be pretty bad; no consistency in terms of the quality. Similar to Pizza Hut better than Papa John’s not as good as Rocky’s. Wings are not bad if you go on 50 cent wing night; very limited flavor’s but the price is right. The biggest problem with this place is the lack of decent service. When they finally get around to noticing you they’ll come and take your drink order and then it’s like they forgot about you. When they finally take your order get ready for a long wait and if/when your food arrives expect the order to be screwed up. Have been here many times because well. There isn’t much to choose from in the area, but after the last visit we gave up and won’t set foot in this Amici again. If you want Italian; save yourself the aggravation and drive to Mama Maria’s in Covington or one of the Amici’s in Covington or Madison.

Good food at this little Monroe eatery. Their undoing will be the service. We watched a confused staff for 45 minutes while we waited for our sandwiches and salad.

This is one of my favorite pizza or calzone places. It’s in downtown Monroe which is a nice place to walk around and take in a little country town. The pizza is not greasy and light. The calzones are huge and two people can easily share them. I love this place! Oh and don’t forget to get their wedge salad. It’s a great one!

Waste of time and money. I paid this place to piss me off. We waited close to one hour to get our food after we ordered. When the food finally did come… wait let me say that again. when half of the orders came they were not only wrong but room temp. One of my kids pizza slice never came and the other childs pizza had the wrong toppings. The food was cold and tasted no better than what comes out of a frozen dinner box. At most of the restaurants I have been too they bring the salad out first. Well the salad didn’t come out before the entrée it didn’t come out at all. It really was nice of them to tell us that they removed the items we never got off of the bill. I hope they didn’t expect me to pay for them in the first place. Chances on trying this place again are slim to none. Oh one more thing, the manager was aware of us waiting and about the wrong orders but neglected to come say anything.

Hey the food is good, above average even. However if you are going for lunch you better book some extra time. You normally don’t wait to be seated. The staff is friendly but does seem to be short handed. In return your order being taken is quite slow and therefore contributes to the delay in your food coming out. Solid atmosphere, just don’t go if you have limited time.

The pasta here was delish. The cheese was so thick and creamy! The calamari my date and I shared as an appetizer was pretty okay. He seemed to really like it. I thought it was okay as there wasn’t as much flavor with it as I’d like. There are specials(food & events) that occurs throughout the week. When we visited Amici this past Tuesday, there was a $ 5 burger special. Sadly I was overcharged, but it’s no deal. I just wanted to put this out there to make sure you check the prices charged to ensure its accuracy. The burger was delish as I took a mini bite. The patty was succulent and somewhat large. It comes with a side order of either fries or a pasta salad. I picked the pasta salad for the date, but it turned out to be drenched in vinaigrette so it wasn’t as appetizing as we’d thought. I had the homemade Alfredo. This dish just comes with the pasta and pie bread(something like crispy pita bread), but you can had a side order of meat for $ 3. The portion size was huge so it was pretty filling without the side meat. Overall, a very cute and cozy place to visit. The staff was super friendly and sweet. They checked up on us multiple times and made sure we weren’t lacking anything.

We stopped in here over lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. I really try to eat at these local places when I’m out somewhere. I thought the food(Philly Cheese) was great. Our waitress was nice and helpful. We didn’t have to wait long for our food which was nice over lunch. Definitely would recommend!

New ownership has really improved the place, including service. A great spot to grab a bite in downtown Monroe – maybe the best option downtown in fact. Love the outdoor tables.

When Amici’s first came to Monroe I was five star thrilled, but after multiple trips and more than my share of disappointments I am done with the place. The service is horrible, in one word SLOW! And they don’t seem to care they are slow. The food has become below average, the two stars is beer related, not to many places in Monroe have beer yet alone a choice, it pains me but pick up a six pack and head home Amici’s just doesn’t do it anymore in Monroe, here is hoping it changes.

My wife and I, along with another couple visited Amicis for the first time last Saturday night. The sign at the door said ‘try topside’ which meant they had an upstairs seating area. We scoped the downstairs first, there were many open tables, but the atmosphere was a little too sterile so we opted for the upstairs. Nice setup! There is a full bar and many beer choices as well. As old classic rock was piped in the bar area, the environment setup suggested an adult dining experience. Nope! The under 5 crowd ruled the roost. The only thing that was missing was the singing bear and the colored ball playground. There was a lot of beer drinking tables mingled in with cartwheels, and squealing games of freeze tag throughout. I guess you can consider it entertainment. The food is just very average Italian themed fair. Pizza, pasta, and the sort. It’s basically what you expect. The service was about average as well. If there is a next time, I would take a closer look at the patron mix upstairs before deciding where to sit. There is a lot of potential if the restaurant finds an identity.

Amici’s has a nice casual and local feel. We sat downstairs and got to partake on a Terrapin beer tasting. Though they only had four beers to try, it’s nice to see local businesses supporting each other. I couldn’t decide what I wanted so I ordered both a 6pk of honey hot wings and a slice of the Summer in Turin pizza. The honey hot flavor was suggested by our waitress. It was definitely a good choice — good flavor and just enough kick. The pizza was a decent size and in combo with the wings, I just barely put both down. The toppings were nice and fresh, and the overall taste was great. The prices are a bit steep, though. The one sour note was that our server, though super friendly, was uneven in her attention to our table. There were a couple of times when she stood there and talked to us for what seemed like 10 minutes. But in between those times, when we needed her, she was no where to be found. After going across the street to shoot some pool, we came back and went upstairs where they had live music. I like the upstairs/downstairs aspect of the place, but the music was just way too loud if you’re sitting near the performers.
