This is a small comfy place with some great food. The people were friendly and I would recommend this place to anyone. I ordered the Roux-Ga-Roux which is a sampling of all the seafood. If you like fried shrimp and catfish this is the place to go. Gave it four stars because I have been all over and had some phenomenal food. This place is high on the list but not quite on top.

This is perfect in so many ways. Most importantly the food is fantastic. We were offered the buy one get ½ off fried shrimp lunch and accepted. Wow! The fresh perfectly battered fried Gulf shrimp knocked my socks off! All the sides including red beans n rice, ettoffee and slaw were perfect. Service by a super nice Cajun lady was the best I’ve had at any Resturant. The kicker was the supremely reasons able prices. If you are on I-20 anywhere close, get on over there. You will be glad.

Literally just walked out the door. They’re open until 8:30PM for take out but their dining room closes at 8:15PM. However they very kindly let me eat in on my way home to Alabama. I had the crawfish étouffée and it was super yummy. Went great with my Doctor Pepper(which they gave me a refill as I hit the road). I’m looking forward to polishing off the generous portion of bread pudding that I got to go. Great friendly service by pretty women with great smiles and awesome food. Can’t get better than that!

Awesome little hole-in-the-wall. I had a good sized bowl of gumbo. It came out kind of bland, but the waitress brought some Tony’s and some Louisiana Hot Sauce out with the food. So, I could spice things up to MY tastes. I followed that up with frog legs, fries, hush puppies, jambalaya, and cole slaw. I’m not a fan of cole slaw, but this was alright. There could’ve been more fries and jambalaya, but the four pairs of frog legs(along with everything else) made sure I didn’t leave hungry! The frog legs were just a basic batter-and-fry with no extra spices or anything. But, I kicked them up a little with some of the hot sauce. Would I go back if I were in the area again? Definitely! But, I would probably eat a smaller entrée or skip the gumbo, so I could try a dessert. :)

Had the Big Easy which is fried fish covered in crawfish étouffée over rice. The crawfish was excellent! So was the fish. The order also came with a coupe of their jambalaya which is very good, as well as cole slaw and fries. I stay in Monroe once a month with my business and I get tired of eating the same old thing all the time, I will definitely be back.

Okay but not great. Stopped for lunch passing thru. Craving some good Creole/Cajun. Jambalya was dry and uninteresting. Gumbo was fairly good but way over salted(and I go heavy on salt). Finally, shrimp remoulade salad had those tiny frozen shrimp and was drowning in dressing. Won’t go out of my way to go back. Ont the bright side, server was great.

After being tipped off about this wonderful restaurant off the beaten path I decided to visit and give it a try. WOW. All sauces homemade. The menu has something for anyone. The seafood is wonderful, and piping hot when I received mine. I can honestly say it was some of the very best I have ever had.

This place is a complete dive by its a SUPER tasty dive! The Jambalaya was insanely good! The fried catfish was crispy and juicy, and the hush puppies were great! The main dishes come with slaw, hush puppies, jambalaya, and French fries. The only down side is this place is a dive and the bathroom is… Well… Gross. Other than that, good food & great service!

It was good. I wasn’t blown away but it was good. The specials are decent but as far as standing out. The prices are a little steep. I tried the jambalaya and it was seasoned well.

Driving through on our way to Georgia and found this restaurant on Unilocal. My husband and I had the crawfish Étouffée, a bowl of gumbo and a bread pudding. My husband is a bit of a cajun food snob and he really liked the étouffée and thought the gumbo was good. The bread pudding was average at best. The garlic bread that came with the étouffée was outstanding. The hush puppies were pretty good too. If I ever make it back I think I will try the catfish smothered in jambalaya!

I showed up at this restaurant because of a Unilocal review and it was completely worth it! I first tried the onion rings everyone kept talking about and they were outstanding! I’m someone who prefers French fries over onion rings any day but these were completely different then I’ve ever had. They were flaky and crispy and perfect! My main dish I had was a crawfish PoBoy. I was informed that the bread was brought in from New Orleans and it did not disappoint, it was crunchy and flaky but soft on the inside. This was my first PoBoy ever and it was delicious. The tomatoes were so fresh and the remoulade sauce made the entrée. Instead of the usual fries that come with the Po Boys I substituted it for jambalaya. I then decided to have bread pudding with Bourbon sauce and it was fresh out of the oven, homemade goodness that overwhelmed my senses! I would definitely go back to this establishment! Because of the yummy food, friendly staff and homey atmosphere!

If you’re traveling through Louisiana through I-80, this place is one to definitely stop for. This place is far from fancy, but that doesn’t really matter when the food is great and the service is on point! I ordered the shrimp po’boy which to me was alright, however the onion rings, chicken wings, & alligator bites were delicious! There’s something about their batter that gives it a great flavor and crunch! In addition to the food, their special sauce was great to dip with everything and their sweet tea was good! Definitely check this place out if you’re passing through or in the area!

Found this place on Unilocal and decided to drop by on our way to Dallas. Surprise there was no other customers here on a Saturday noon. Anyway I got the fried shrimp po boy and my bf got jambalaya, both were very delicious! Great food with reasonable price! Highly recommended! A hidden gem in LA!

Best Cajun food we’ve ever had! We were driving through on our way home from Florida and wanted to eat some crawfish. We actually found the place on trip advisor and it did not disappoint. Our large group started with the fried alligator and onion rings appetizers. The alligator was trimmed, breaded and cooked to perfection. Very tender, delicious. The onion rings were hands down the best onion rings any of us have ever had. Lightly hand breaded, perfectly seasoned. My husband got the crawfish étouffée which was outstanding; I got the half rouxGaroux plate and everything on there was great too, but my favorite was the fried crawfish. Jambalaya can be ordered as a main dish but it also comes as a side item with platters and it was delicious! My road weary 2 year old even thought it was amazing. If I had to say anything was average I’d say maybe the French fries. But I was covered up with so much affordable, delicious food that I waited quite a while to try them, so they might’ve been epic if I had tried them straight out. This place is definitely worth getting off the main roads.

My husband was looking up someplace for me to grab some lunch on my way to Fr Worth around Monroe, La. He came across this place on Tripadvisor with great reviews. I had to try it out. It is a short distance off the interstate. The wait staff was super friendly, the food was excellent. I had the crawfish étouffée. I will eat here again when I am coming thru
