I make a habit of approaching teriyaki places in areas like Monroe with lower expectations, but this place left me pleasantly surprised. I was expecting something drenched in Sriracha when we ordered the spicy pork but the sauce was very unique and actually was pretty pleasantly spicy. I ended up stealing most of my husband’s meal since the spicy pork was his order. The Chicken Katsu was perfectly crispy, not soggy and not too much breading, very well done. All in all the portions were great and we left feeling very satisfied and impressed. Better than most teriyaki places and I will definitely be back again when we’re in the area.

We discovered this place on our way to Leavenworth! Wanted a quick stop off on our way up the mountain. Found this hidden teriyaki place(gotta love Unilocal!) We stopped for a quick bite! I asked for regular chicken breast teriyaki and a side of their spicy sauce. That part was disappointing. It was like a paste. Yuck. Didn’t like that at all! My husband got the spicy chicken teriyaki. That was good! Now I know for the next time, I just get the spicy instead of the side of the sauce. Much better cooked in; that’s for sure! Dinner and a drink was under $ 20. Good price, quick eats! We’ve gone 2x now on our way through town. Next time I’m just gonna get the spicy teriyaki! Their teriyaki sauce is good too, not too sweet, and not over powering.

I always get the chicken teriyaki here. Sooo good. It’s always fresh so it takes a few minutes for them to cook it, but that is totally fine. Of course they have Sriracha sauce and extra teriyaki sauce on the tables. The gyoza is also phenomenal. Fried perfectly crispy. Definitely get some on the side.

This is my go to teriyaki place(: I love their beef and chicken. The staff is very friendly, reasonably priced and easy to find. I have not found another teriyaki place like this one anywhere!

The restaurant smells a little odd, and the food tasted a little odd too. When I got my food home, my temper was soggy. The sauce was good. The beef teriyaki have a slight bad taste I couldn’t identify. I wasn’t able to eat it. The staff was very friendly however and the place seemed clean. Although it did smell funny. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back since I was unable to eat the food.

Most people have their«go to» teriyaki place and this is ours. We’re lucky they are so close by since we are here at least once every couple weeks. The chicken is a higher quality than many other places we’ve tried and the potstickers are fantastic. The sauce is dark and sweet and the portions are generous. An order of the«Super Chicken» is more than enough for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. The staff is extremely friendly and quick.

Okay I’m liking it better this time. More sauce. More food. Like having your own personal teriyaki place.

We Tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and we are going back again. We ordered the«super chicken«and«beef». Fast service and very friendly. Only thing weird is you get a little bit of teriyaki sauce to go and if you want any extra you need to pay for it. If it wasn’t for having to pay for extra sauce they would get a 5 star.

Best teriyaki in Monroe! Very friendly gals who work there, and quick service. Salad is perfectly dressed, pot stickers are freaking delish along with the entire menu. Never been dissatisfied in the 2 years we been going there :)

The only reason that I miss working at this shopping center is because of this business. They have the best teriyaki that I’ve had in years. They always had my food ready after calling it in and were very pleasant. I recomment this place to everyone.

We love Teriyaki and have tried many different places. This place has a sweet tang to their sauce. They also have a great salad dressing which the sell also. My husband usually gets a super. I’m for white meat chicken, but their regular is so tender I don’t have to. I opted for white meat for a long time because so many places had dryer, tougher chicken. Not here! Also love the potsticker and eggrolls. Our fav teriyaki place.

This place has large portions of chicken but the wait time can be a very long time when it should not be. But as for the food this is my 5th visit and have not been disappointed yet. The meat is flavorful and moist which can be lost at teriyaki places frequently. Would recommend the katsu.

CANTMISS!!! This place is the greatest gift of Teriyaki in the Northwest. The sauce is the best sauce I’ve ever had. They have a cabbage slaw salad they serve with the teriyaki with a creamy dressing that makes you want to eat raw cabbage! I get the Super Chicken, which I never finish, but gives me more than enough food to take home for a second meal. This is a favorite spot of all the LDS missionaries that serve in Snohomish County. I dream about this place now that I live in Vegas! You can also buy their sauces to take home, which I do everytime I’m in the Seattle area.

If anyone wants to know the main difference in cuisine from Southern California to the Greater Seattle region, I would tell them«imagine they replaced all the local Mexican food spots and Short Order spots with Terriaki spots.» That’s basically it in a nutshell. You can’t go far without running into these places up here and no matter where you live, it will end up becoming one of your default eating options when your fridge is empty and you are too lazy to take your ass to the store, drive home, then prepare the food. These places are mostly all the same, which is why it is difficult for me to fathom how people argue over rating them. With very few exceptions, these places will be Japanese branded(something like«Tokyo Terriaki» for example), but Korean owned, and with Mexicans cooking all the food(natch). As far as the food, you basically get some meat that is chopped up, then pan fried and served on rice with teriyaki sauce on it. From there, the differences are minimal. All will have the same variations available: breaded chicken, tempura this or that, noodles of some sort, etc. Defining the differences in these establishments is essentially splitting hairs. Man SE Teriyaki is I suppose my local T joint as it is the closest to me and the only place I’ve bothered to try in my general area. The food is not better or worse than any other of these places I’ve eaten at. One thing that is different about this T joint is that they really try to charge you extra for anything that deviates from the basic formula of chopped meat on rice with sauce and a side of chopped cabbage with some mystery white fluid on it(or «salad»). Want«spicy» sauce? Substitute the salad for rice? Brown rice not White rice? Extra Ramekin of sauce? Extra Charge! Extra Charge! Extra Charge! Also, as pointed out by other reviewers, they apparently think their sauce is unique enough to bottle and sell it to you for a ridiculous fee. I’ve never seen anyone actually buy it, but if you get anything from this review … the sauce, like the business, is not unique.

This is my favorite teriyaki place and not just in Monroe. Friendly staff. Clean. Good value. Wide selection. The thick Teri. sauce is fantastic and so is the crushed chili sauce. It’s on every table and there is a reason you don’t see other places selling their sauces by the jar. I favor the beef and pork combo but the other items are good as well. Look there are hundreds of teriyaki places with very similar menus. It’s the little things that set this place apart.

I stopped in yesterday for lunch and really glad I did. The special was chicken teriyaki, salad, white sticky rice, 2 egg rolls, and a small pop(or can) for $ 7.49. My lunch was on the table when I came back from the bathroom. The chicken was tender and didn’t have those burned crunchy edges that I have found at so many teriyaki places. The sauce was just right; not too sweet and not bland. The salad was shredded cabbage with just the right amount of dressing; not swimming in it. The rice was typical sticky white rice. The egg rolls were definitely something to brag about! They had a light and crispy coating and really tender & fresh veggies inside. Practically melt-in-your-mouth goodness! I could have just these for lunch and be happy. I can’t say enoughj about this place, so go there and tip good like I do.

I have no idea what the person below me is thinking? Apparently she has no idea what good food is. Or she was paid to leave positive feedback. This is the worst teriyaki place in the state. And I grew up on an island so I know what good food is. Located this dump in a local Monroe shopping mall. We were hungry and heavens«NO I will not eat Subway!!». So I talked Jeff in coming here. I ordered the Yakisoba Chicken. My buddy had the Teriyaki Chicken and gyozas plate. The Yakisoba was instant Ramen mixed with Cabbage, Carrots, and so little meat. You thought it was vegetarian Gyozas were store bought frozen and fried in a pan. When you bit into them they still contained ice. I gave it all to Jeff. Chicken plate consisted of 2 chicken thighs, shredded cabbage salad. After that my buddy was still hungry. Serving was tiny. They bottle up the commercial teriyaki sauce and Srichachahot sauce into small jars for $ 5. You find these at gallon containers in COSTCO. The funny thing is people actually buy them off the counter. Go to COSTCO people it only cost $ 10. They corner the market in Monroe because there is no other Teriyaki Place in the area. If the residents ever leave that neck of the woods they would find better places. But if thats your world then you believe its the best. Like I mentioned Avoid like the plague. Save your money and go else where.
