Well they closed. I wonder why. I’m not sad. I hope the new place does a better job then the former.

Because it’s Friday, it gets the courtesy of a 2 star review. Wife and I went there some time ago. Table we were seated at was wobbly and one chair was slightly higher than the other. Already i’m frowning upon this place. I ordered a hamburger and I can tell that the chop meat they used was from Walmart or BJ’s or some venue of that nature. It had that supercenter smell to it where I knew I was overpaying for it. Needless to say, it was not good nor worth my time and money. In fairness, the other patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves. Good for them but my experience trumps their experience. No need to go back!

Always drove by and one day decided to go for a quick lunch with my wife. Food was good and the home made potato chips are amazing. Will definitely be back.

Food is always great, so is the country music! I can’t say enough about the service. Doggy friendly too in the patio during warm days.

We have been here on several occasions and have never had a bad meal. The chef always comes out and asks how we are doing and if everything is ok. That’s a nice personal touch. The tap beer is always ice cold and the staff is extremely nice. It’s clean and def reminds me of an nice Irish pub. One of my favorites is the corned beef egg rolls. I know it shouldn’t be absolutely delish, but it is!!! Would def recommend this place.

You couldn’t ask for more out of an Irish sports bar. Lots of flat screens. Reliable food. Good service. Outdoor seating in Summer. Plenty of parking. Don’t expect gourmet food, but they will accomodate any dietary requests if you ask.

Both my bf and I had the Shepard’s Pie, it tasted good and was very filling, his was good but mine was swimming in oil, which I just poured out, but still not pleasant. With Unilocal check in we each got a free Ramblers Ale which was very good! Nice clean place, friendly service, great place to go when you are hungry. If I were in the area again I would stop by.

I previously posted a favorable review for this restaurant, being impressed with the ability to get really rare steak and burgers. I would like to add that we had lunch there today and had a very positive experience with seafood. I had Drunken Mussels and it was delicious. The mussels were perfectly prepared and the sauce was perfect. My wife had the ahi tuna salad and it was outstanding. So now we know that the chef has expertise at both beef and seafood. Next time maybe we will try a chicken dish, although we may find it hard not to have what we already know is excellent. But one think is certain: we will be back.

I have met with my friend multiple times at this bar, because it happens to be the halfway point between him and I. During the week, and weeknights, this bar seems to be more of a dive bar, and just perfect for having great conversations with people. During the weekends it seems to become more popular and crowded, as you would expect on a Friday and Saturday night. They have great beers on draft, and I would definitely go back. Be sure to check in on Unilocal to receive a free pint!

On Suncay June 7, 2015 we had a farewell Sunday brunch for a retired Army officer from nearby West Point. We scheduled for 19 and asked for a fairly private area where we could present a toast and award without disturbing other patrons. The staff was very accommodating, and arranged the tables in an intimate horseshoe pattern. The brunch was excellent and the service staff was very attentive. They let us linger as long as we wanted. Later some of us went outside to the patio bar to listen to the live music performed by a great duo. We just wanted to chat and have some coffee. It was a very nice and comfortable place.

Came here for a baby Baptism and expected the food to be so-so but we were very surprised the food was great, and the owner and staff couldn’t be any nicer. They had the party outside which was a great idea because it was such a beautiful day. For Appetizers they served Seasonal Flat Bread, a Mushroom & Goat Cheese Tart, and Fried Calamari — all were delicious. For the Main Entrée we had Chicken Parmesan and I must say the meat was not dry it was moist — then we had Penne A La Vodka that was also good. All and all, I cannot say anything bad about this place, and if I am ever back in the area I would think about stopping here again for a bite.

Went there once… won’t be back. I ordered the most Irish thing in the menu: corned beef and cabbage. It. Was. Awful. If you’re an Irish restaurant and you can’t even get this simple staple right… Idk how they stay in business. It had such a strange flavor. It was sweet. Sweet for goodness sake! The carrots also tasted like cinnamon or something. How embarrassing.

Had the Sunday Brunch. It was pretty good. Nice choices of food and included the Bloody Mary. We enjoyed it! I would recommend this Brunch Buffet.

When Rambler’s Rest first opened a few years ago we were avid and regular customers due mainly to super yummy smoked chicken they were so good at. Sadly, their smoked meats, which completely set this place apart from others in the area, are no longer on the menu. It’s still a good place for basic food, and has a lively bar scene which attracts many of the areas’ firemen and police officers.

I had heard mixed reviews. But my other half heard that they had a good brunch. 14.95 with a Bloody Mary or mimosa, not bad. Bagels, toast, omelet made to order, brownies, cookies, canned fruit salad, salad, eggs, bacon, sausage, dry cubed potatoes, penne ala vodka, chicken Marsala, shepards pie. I thought it odd, brownies and cookies at first selection of line. Cookies looked over baked. Canned fruit salad with added purple grapes, enough said. The menu said Irish bacon, when the waitress was asked what is Irish bacon, she didn’t know? Penne aka vodka dry and tasted like plain red sauce. Potatoes very dry, chicken Marsala dry, and pieces of thick chicken breast cut into squares. Strange. Service barely okay. Waitress Not friendly, Check on table without asking for it. Restaurant not crowded, so can’t say that was the reason. Won’t return for the brunch. Comment card in check, I said the same on the sheet. Bloody Mary great! Maybe the bartender should cook.

I was there last night for Trivia Night. It took over 45 minutes to get my entrée. The waitress said it was because there was a big birthday party. That is not a valid excuse. When I got my entrée, it was awful. I ordered Corned Beef and Cabbage and had it there before, but tonight, the cook drenched it in watery brown gravy that tasted bad. Since when do you served corned beef and cabbage in salty gravy? The trivia questions were impossibly hard. Our team only got 21 out of 40 right. The questions were too specific. The harder ones should have at least been multiple choice. Once of the questions was, «What decade was dynamite invented in?», Others were what year was the Apple Mac put out or what year was the first open heart transplant? Why not make it multiple choice? Another one was what country first hosted the World Cup? Why not make that multiple choice?

The waitress was good. But outside of that the rest of the experience wasnt great. Ordered two steak sandwiches and they came missing two out of three ingredients and open faced — no mention of this on the menu. They claimed the sandwich was correct but did offer onions and mushrooms on the side. Of course we were starving so the sandwiches were basically eaten by the time we got that. The kitchen was closed for five minutes but they did allow us to put in one last order of wings. Dont get the curry flavored wings. They were coated with sugar crystals and tasted terrible! The hot wing sauce we asked for on the side was the saving grace. And the wings were cooked well outside of the flavor. Best was the french fries — perfect. Overall just not that great but at least the service was decent.
