When did brows become a thing? I don’t know, but one day about two years ago, I looked at mine and said, «Yikes!» Had someone wax my brows, and I never did that again. My skin is super sensitive. The wax irritated my skin and burned. Beauty should not hurt. Not that much anyway. Enter Brows R Us, which came upon recommendation. Dipali is the best brow threader. I trust no one but her. Her shop is clean and she’s very friendly. She offers other services, but I’ve only gone to get the brows shaped up. Does brow threading hurt? Well, it depends on the person. For me, sometimes it feels uncomfortable during the process, but not all the time. It’s never driven me to tears. I like the outcome, so I keep returning. AND, she offers a discount to UPMC employees. Show her your work ID for discount.

I stayed in the Pittsburgh area briefly and was a little bummed I couldn’t find a good eyebrow threading place until I stumbled onto this one. I didn’t make an appointment and figured I could just walk in. Really though? How many people are getting their eyebrows waxed on a midday Tuesday!?! Apparently a lot, the owner was gracious and took me right in. She was very friendly and I felt super comfortable there. She also did a fantastic job on my eyebrows. I’ve been getting my eyebrows waxed/threaded since I was thirteen and usually went to places in Beverly Hills since I grew up in the LA area but Dipali trumps them all!

Dipali is probably the best eyebrow threader I’ve been to. After trying to grow my eyebrows out from a recent eyebrow threading tragedy(not related to Dipali), I decided to give her a try from other Unilocal recommendations. She makes sure to keep you comfortable and engages in conversation. Overall, I’m thrilled with her work.

Will never go waxing again! Found her thru a co– worker two+ years ago and have been going ever since! I also take my teenage daughter who won’t go anywhere else either! And you know how dramatic teenagers are, we drive to Monroeville from North Huntingdon just to see her. :)

Owner operator is named Dipila(certain I am spelling this wrong) and is Indian and super sweet. I moved here from the West Coast where threading is everywhere and I struggled to find a threader, for the options in Pittsburgh are very limited. Although I had to drive from downtown to Monroeville to get there, it was worth the drive. Dipila knows what she is doing and is the real deal when it comes to threading. Eyebrows were like $ 12 and this is inline with my expectations. I will go back. Threading lasts longer than waxing, but know that she does do waxing as well.

She is by far the best person to get your eyebrows threaded. Having gone to her for the last three years, I can honestly say that she does a phenomenal job. She listens to your feedback and is highly skilled with her technique! I work as a physician and my patients constantly as about where I get my eyebrows done. I always refer my patients to her. I am going to miss coming to see her as I am moving away from Pittsburgh.

Her threading is precise, quick and completely painless! I normally tear up and dread getting my eyebrows done but she is the best I have ever experienced and would go to her in a heartbeat!

I enjoy getting my eyebrows done so this place is a really awesome place to go if you prefer to get threading as opposed to waxing. I’m not too excited about the interior it’s kind of small and doesn’t seem to well-kept but the woman who does my eyebrows is really nice and she talks to you the whole time you’re getting it done so it’s not just a quick in and out experience there’s a little bit of an attachment there. I love how they play Indian music while you’re waiting plus they have a whole bunch of magazines that you can look through so you’re never really bored while you’re sitting there. They do have other services besides eyebrow threading but I guess the threading is one of their more popular specialties. Plus you can get your legs waxed too. They have this curtain that they pullover for people who want more privacy. All in all I enjoy the socialness of the woman who works there and she does a really good job threading. She always makes sure that you’re satisfied with the work and doesn’t let you leave until she knows for a fact that your eyebrows are the way you want them to be. I love the fact that she goes out of her way to help you, she’s very personable thanks brows R us!

I recently started Retin A for anti-aging purposes and could no longer have my eyebrows waxed. I did a google search for eyebrow threading and was happy for find Brows R Us right up the street from my house. I will never wax again! Threading is fast and my face is only red for about five minutes after, as opposed to waxing which gives me red eyebrows and a red ‘stache for a whole day. Dipali is always pleasant and does the best job with my brows. I’ve been converted for life.

Ah, this is so much better than waxing! I drove 95+ miles to Pittsburgh to try threading. I’m so happy I did & so happy I went to BrowsRUs. Dipali is very pleasant and she did an excellent job at shaping my brows. It’s been 2 weeks & my brows still look fabulous. And as others have mentioned, it does not hurt at all. Will I go back? Absolutely!

Threading is quick and easy and doesn’t involve harsh waxes-which cannot be used on certain skin types or on those that use topical treatments like retinoids. The price is similar to waxing(would be less if there were more threading choices in the area.) The owner, Dipali, does a great job-go see her!
