Visited on Saturday 2÷27÷16 and had the tortas de camaron. Not only were they excellent but they are better than Mom used to make. I highly recommend this dish.

Stopped in last night after learning they have a full bar(!!). Food and drinks were very good, as was the service(yea Angela!). Basic, home style Mexican, nothing super fancy here, but good and fresh. Gave four out of five since it was our first time. I feel like I’m still ‘testing the water’ so to speak, but would definately go back.

Seriously never coming here again. I ordered a bunch of food to go, and asked for chips and salsa, the lady’ charged me extra. Umm for chips and salsa? You mean my food doesn’t come with a few chips ?? Wth ??? There goes your tip !

Great customer service. They are very welcoming and attentive. I had a bean and cheese burrito with shredded beef. It was so delicious and made fresh! Their horchata is the best i have had… there was a hint of something else that I couldn’t put my finger on. So good! I will absolutely be back for more!

The food is very good but the portions have gotten much smaller. Friendly service. My favorite dishes are the carnitas and their green chile. Unfortunately as I mentioned, the last time we were there, the portions were ridiculously small. For the price, not a good value. We will not be coming here anymore.

This place is disgusting. Went there once, utensils were dirty, coupes were dirty, and the food was subpar. Services was questionable and the place did not feel authentic. An employee even had the opacity of attempting to clean nearby tables with harsh chemicals while we ate. We will never eat there again. Go to Las Marias or Casa Jimenez instead!

Get the horchata, it is delicious. Situated right next to Canyon Park, we will be coming here more frequently.

Great food! Incredible service! These people know how to run a business! They build their business off of repeat customers instead of volume. Thx for taking such good care of us today!

I think the restaurant has potential but the servings were skimpy at best. There wasnt much beans or rice on my plate and I think if you’re going to charge $ 10.95/ plate you should make it a fair amount of food. The enchiladas were small and not much chicken in them. At least the food tasted ok. It seemed fresh but portion was very small. There were quite a few people in there Saturday nite . I’d give it another shot down the road I guess.

Straight-forward Mexican food which is better than its Strip Mall location would lead you to believe. A little pricier than I would have preferred, but not enough to keep me from returning. Friendly service.

A while back, my favorite menudo restaurant closed. I was in a tripe depression. The task at hand was to find a new restaurant worthy of my stringent menudo sensibilities. Rigo’s completely enchanted me so much that I must sing their praises in Unilocal. Now, mind you, my rating is only based on their menudo, but for me it is a huge relief finding the almost perfect menudo(perfection only exists in the afterlife, so I leave myself some wiggle room in my praise). I admit for me a bowl of menudo has to follow my personal strict requirements, but Rigo’s menudo is everything I could want in a menudo. All the ingredients are present and accounted for: the broth is a wonderfully flavored concoction, simply spicy enough, not over overpoweringly spicy, but spicy enough to enjoy all the ingredients. It neither burns, nor is weak for people with delicate taste sensibilities. In my opinion, for a spicier broth, the added oregano and chili pepper is sufficient. It is hard to ratchet down the spice level when it is already very high. There is plenty of hominy so that every spoonful contains something to eat. And of course the tripe is good. It may not be the primo tripe, but it is far from the third rate dog scraps some restaurants try to slip into their soupy concoction, where by the time the bowl is presented to us, we are prisoners to whatever the restaurant serves us. And their homemade tortillas only added to menudo bliss I found myself in. So many thanks and kudos to Rigo’s for their very humble, simple yet powerfully delicious bowl of menudo, the best I have tasted in the Southern California area. I look forward to trying other items on their menu.

I’m only giving Rigo’s 3 stars because I have been before and enjoyed the food and restaurant. But today I walked in, sat and then walked right out disgusted. The guy who walked us to our seats cleaned our table by just brushing the food mess all over the floor. The seats were still dirty and the table smelled like mildew. Not even did we get a greeting just a dumb question of how many people, when clearly it was just 2 of us. I was looking forward to enjoying a meal at Rigo’s, but the service and mess was just not appetizing.

This place is real hit and miss. Sometimes the food is amazing and sometimes its not. The service is never good, not matter what time of day or night. They make fresh corn tortillas on site, right at the front door as you are walking in and that is pretty amazing! I think that’s what keeps me coming back! lol

SOGOOD!!! I was looking for a good place to get some tamales I could freeze(having a baby in Sept.!) and these were YUMMY. I had the tamale combo– the red sauce was delish and not too spicy. Perfect for my pregnant taste buds. The chicken mole enchilada my hubs ate was fantastic but a bit rich and subtly spiced, it was an herby mole sauce which my hubs loved. The beans were so good I ate them with chips! The horchata was sweet and tasted just like a churro. Mmmmm. My daughter inhaled(and she’s only 3!) the carne asada taco. Yummy homemade tortillas were fresh. And a dozen tamales for $ 19? A great deal!

As mentioned in my other reviews, I don’t eat Mexican food often. But when co-workers name drop restaurants I’m obligated to try them. Rigo’s did not meet my expectations for a decent Mexican breakfast. I ordered chilaquiles with potatoes and rice(I don’t like beans), which came off somewhat bland, which is strange since the gratis salsa for chips was excellent and very spicy. The chips in the chilaquiles had nice texture, but I had to load on the extra salsa to enjoy. My two co-workers(both Hispanic) ordered wet burritos and also weren’t impressed. Maybe I should have ordered something else, but so far I have yet to find decent Mexican food in Monrovia. Someone help me out!

The wait staff has been very friendly the few times I have visited. The food tastes great and is worth visiting when in the mood for family flavor from a Mexican Restaurant. The beef cheek tacos were great and the chicken could have used a little more spice. The price was fair and the staff was VERY friendly(in the ‘I want to help you, have you been helped’ kind of way)

I like this place. It’s close to where I live, so I’ve been here several times and every experience has been positive. The service is always friendly and they are on top of everything. The food is pretty good, reasonably priced and they have the games on, which I like too. They have happy hour and the margaritas are pretty good. They have a great selection on their menu. The ceviche is pretty good, but I love their pozole soup when I’m not feeling 100% and the carne asada is a great choice anytime.
